For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Monistat 1 many times, and it's worked fantastically! I used it today at 3:45, and by 6:30, I was on FIRE! By 8:00, I swear battery acid would have felt better than this burning that I was experiencing. I have a very high pain tolerance. And this burning, stinging, chemical burning I was feeling is far beyond any pain tolerable level. I was sweating, shaking, light-headed, and had goosebumps. I was in so much pain, not to mention I was also bleeding from this. I have used this product in the past and have had no issues. In fact, it worked great. But this time... I will NEVER EVER use it again. It's 12:00 am now, and the pain experience had subsided maybe a notch. It's going to be a long night..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "To whom it may concern, DO NOT USE MONISTAT. This product says side effects may include 'mild increase in burning or stinging.' That is an absolute lie, this product made my symptoms SEVERELY WORSE. It made me feel pain go from a 1 to a 10 in a matter of minutes. This product made me feel absolutely awful, and whoever came up with the product should use it themselves to see how painful it is. This product made my symptoms so much worse, and the burning and itching of the cream will not go away. Why is this product still allowed to be sold if a very limited amount of people are being given relief? Poor people buy this product to seek help and to find relief, but it just makes things 100 times worse. Absolutely horrible, and someone needs to do something about getting this product off of the market. I am still trying to seek relief for the burning this product has given me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG!!! As I read these reviews, I'm sitting here in the most intense itch I've ever experienced. This was recommended by my friend, and because I trust her, I went ahead and bought the Monistat 1. I put the egg in, and I was fine, but once I went to the bathroom, all hell broke loose. The itching is unbearable!! This is worse than the YI itself. I've never gone through this in my life, and for the level of discomfort I am experiencing tonight, it better be gone in the morning. There is a slight stinging feeling, but the itching is outrageous!! Help me!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "WOW, do not subject yourself to this. Used the one-day treatment, put it in at around 9 o'clock, and woke up at 1 AM screaming in tears. Vag is burning, stinging, and so itchy. Got in the shower and tried rinsing off any part of the medication, and it provided little relief, there's not much you can do besides wait it out. Definitely can't sleep with this amount of pain. Fingers crossed that if you're reading this, it's BEFORE you consider buying this product. The egg you put inside you feels like it's filled with FIRE. Literal FIRE. However, at maximum strength relief, there come major side effects. Overall, my YI is gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is now 3:50 AM. I am burning and itching worse than I EVER have with YI. I took the medicine at 11:30 PM and went to bed. I have been woken up by throbbing, stinging, and very intense itching three times now, and it’s work at 5 AM. I am absolutely annoyed to the max! And so glad I read this because I almost went to the emergency room thinking this is not normal. I have had to strip down naked, and I don’t know when I will have any relief. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the second time I have used this product, and the first time was a breeze. I popped it in overnight, and the next morning woke up feeling fresh as a daisy. But this time I tried something a little different; instead of using it overnight, I used it during the day. (I don't suggest doing this.) Maybe an hour after application, intense burning and stinging occurred, but I took a really hot bath, and after, put a cold cloth on it, and it began feeling better. Don't let the scary side effects turn you away. I began feeling better in a couple of hours, and the YI goes away a lot quicker. I'd rather have a couple of hours of burning and itching rather than days!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a really mild yeast infection... no intense itching at all. Wanted to get rid of it quickly since my bf was leaving town for a few months. I took this at 10 PM and instantly felt the stinging. I wiped with a cool wash rag and went back to bed, eventually getting 4 hours of sleep. Woke up to pee, and the nightmare has begun again! For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I took this at 2 PM today, at work. Bad idea! So itchy for 4 hours. I was so uncomfortable and just wished I could itch. It also stung a bit. Once you get past the bad first few hours, it gets manageable. Going to bed now, and I'm thinking this ordeal will be done by tomorrow at 2 PM again. In all honesty, I think this does the job, but you suffer for that one day clear. Worst experience. Maybe go for the 3-day treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Dear God, grant me the strength to get through this... I REALLY regret not just going to see an OBGYN or something. I've never had anything itch so terrible in my life. I think many of the girls are in pain simply because of the itch magnitude. 'Some irritation and itchiness DURING insertion' is like false advertising of side effects. More like, this shit will make your brain tingle, and you won't know what the hell to do with yourself after all the stuff starts bursting out. I thought the insertion itself would be the worst part; I was wrong-it's the easiest. Fifteen minutes later, I'm catching my breath at times at how badly this stings/itches. Never. Ever. Again. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This stuff caused literal hell. Went to see a GYN after my symptoms worsened 100,000 times 36 hours after using the Monistat 1. Turns out it caused burns on both my right and left inner labias. They can treat my current yeast infection but can’t do anything about the burns, so I will have to suffer through the pain and extreme stinging and burning with urination until my body can heal itself. I’m a full-time employee and a full-time college student, so I thought this 1-day relief would be perfect, but I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone. Do not recommend whatsoever."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had the misfortune of getting a yeast infection between paychecks and spent nearly a week in itchy agony. It seriously felt like Chernobyl had gone off down there. As soon as I got paid, I ran to the store and purchased the one treatment prefilled application (in cream, not the 'pill' ovule-I suspect the concentrated pill ovule will burn like something unholy); they also had the 3 and 7 day applications, but I'm impatient and I'll take a quick and painful fix over a slow and comfortable one. I put it in and began hopping around as the cream burned/stung like nobody's business, but more importantly, instant itch relief! Half an hour later, the burn wasn't as prominent. I inserted the little egg, and not an hour later, I woke up to horrible burning and itching, something I didn't even have with my YI. An hour later, after trying to get it out with tissues and clean it out with water, it is only slightly better. What a great way to wake up in the middle of the night. I tried using the external cream, and it felt like fire and made the stinging so much worse. This product is genuinely horrible, and I would recommend going directly to your gyno instead of this seemingly 'easy' fix. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I developed a yeast infection from antibiotics and grabbed the Monistat 1 so I could quickly be rid of my lady business problems. However, I took that on Monday, severe itching occurred the entire time, which I did not have before I used this product. After speaking with my mother about it, she gave me her last capsule from her Monistat 3 kit, and I used it thinking the burning was caused by the yeast infection. At this point, I could barely even walk. My vagina was so inflamed and stinging, burning, feeling like it was ripping off. However you want to put it. So, my mother went and got me some more Monistat 7, since I was literally bedridden, which is very unlike me. Listen to me, ladies, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Especially not the 1-day use. It’s been literally a week since I took it, and I feel like I just had surgery on my hoohah with no anesthesia. If someone knows how to make this feeling go away, please let me know."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst pain ever from this product! I put it in before bed and was dozing off, and all of a sudden, it felt like I had put icy hot on my vagina! It was awful, and it hurt along with intense stinging and burning. It felt like my parts were on fire! I will never again try this 1-day product. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Was on antibiotic for respiratory infection last week. Doc warned it may cause yeast infection. Ate yogurt, took probiotic, and a homeopathic yeast infection medication to help. Got a yeast infection a few days later. I've used 3-day and 7-day before, but thought I'd give the 1-day a try. Woke up yesterday, and I felt a warm, burning sensation. Went pee, and it stung a little. Wiped a little blood and discharge. Things stayed the same during the day. Woke up this morning with the same warm burn. Went pee, and it STUNG! When I wiped, it had a decent amount of blood, and it hurt like nothing I've ever felt down there before! Looked in a mirror, and it looked swollen, and there were burns and/or cuts that had some blood. I'm afraid to pee now! Nurse said 1-day has burned some women. Awful! Don't use!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Took one day application, and it literally feels like a dragon is breathing on my vagina! It only took 10 minutes for this to start, it stings and is burning like hell! I have tried Monistat before and have never felt like this. The only thing that calms down the burn is organic virgin coconut oil. Ironically enough, coconut oil does kill yeast infections, and I should have just used that or gone and got Diflucan from the doctor! Do not ever use this unless you're into painful things happening to your vagina! I also took AZO tablets, which worked too to stop burning and itching. I took one tablet and burning stopped in 20 minutes, itching stopped also."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I came here to write a review strictly because I was scared to use this medication from reading all the horror stories on here. I used this product last night and did not have a single ounce of burning, stinging, cramping, etc. This morning, I woke up with some mild itching and warmth but no swelling, burning, or stinging again. The only reason I gave it 8/10 is that I am waiting to see if the medication works and gets rid of the yeast infection (which it has for me in the past). Use your best judgment on whether you use this medication or not, but I personally love it and had no issues!"

I have a slight tingling sensation, but other than that, I feel like my downstairs department is able to breathe again, and it seems to be working as guaranteed. I used the cooling wipes, inserted the egg, and then put the cream on the exterior as instructed. The cooling wipe and cream did sting at contact, but then subsided in seconds. I would recommend this product for those who have an aggressive yeast infection. Not for someone who shows mild symptoms because I can see how it would burn and itch if your infection isn't that severe. Hence why it said 'maximum strength,' not 'yeast infection free in a day.'"
