For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, I've had a yeast infection for two weeks, thinking it would go away like the last one. I was completely wrong! My sister decided, let's go to the grocery store last night. So, I was all for the trip just to get Monistat. Now, I've tried the 7-day and 3-day. The seven-day made me very uncomfortable, I felt as though ants were down there, but the 3-day just didn't work. I've got a Diflucan, but it didn't clear it. I told myself to give Monistat one more time. I grabbed the 1-day off the shelf, went home, and used it around 9 PM. Oh my gosh, I have seen a complete improvement overnight. Thank you, no more symptoms this morning."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, the Monistat 1 definitely burns a little, but to me, that just means it's working. I rate this product a 10 because every single time I've used it, my yeast infection goes away within 2 days. The product does its job. Will there be discomfort along the way? Certainly. But what's comforting to know is that after a tad bit of burning, I will be without the even more unbearable itching and undesirable discharge. Everyone is different. Our bodies are all different and respond to things in a variation of ways! I didn't get the extreme burning some experience, but that's just me. There's always going to be horror stories on the internet about any product, but don't believe everything you read. Try things out for yourself, you never know!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I'm very prone to yeast infections and UTIs, so this is not new for me. I knew the signs and symptoms of my yeast infection: itching, a lot of discomfort, and thick, creamy discharge. I waited it out a couple of days because sometimes when they're mild, they'll go away on their own, but I couldn't handle the discomfort. So luckily, I had Monistat 1 at home, so I popped it in, and it's been almost 4 hours, and I'm feeling amazing. So I guess you're supposed to take this before bed? But I used it at 7:45 AM because I didn't want to be uncomfortable this whole day. I've heard horrible stories about Monistat 1 and amazing ones as well, it just depends on your body and how it reacts to the medicine. Not everyone feels results as quickly as me! Don't panic!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I used this same product in 2016. Now, fast-forwarding to 2019, I find the need to put my Vag through this hell. The Monistat causes itching, burning, and pain like no other, because it is constantly there with no ceasing. You will not sleep, concentrate, or be in a good mood while this extremely strong medication is doing what you paid to do - kill the yeast infection! I am literally writing this review as I am sitting under the massive discomfort of this medication. I don’t discourage anyone from using it, however, I put out a disclaimer: BEWARE! It will test your character, patience, tolerance, and soul! But it works, it will get rid of an itch, odor, and burning from YI. Time: It takes about 1-2 hours for the gelatin egg to dissolve, and the burning, itching, and discomfort to start. Length: This varies. Discomfort could last from 1 hour to eternity."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE WITH THIS PRODUCT!! I got a yeast infection after a round of antibiotics. I had only mild symptoms for about 4 days before I decided to treat. The only reason I treated was that I am about to be super busy at work and wanted to feel my best. I chose the 1-day treatment because why treat for 7 days what you can treat in 1? Big mistake. I inserted the ovule, no problem. As soon as I put in the 'itch relief' cream, the itching and irritation increased 1000%! I feel so much worse than I did before this treatment. It's ironic that the treatment I used so I could be my best at work will probably make me actually miss a day at work. The discomfort is almost unbearable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My mom had recommended this cream for me. I did not know what to expect once I purchased it. I did not look up reviews or anything, so I was fully unaware of the side effects. Once I inserted it, about 10 minutes passed, and I started to feel discomfort. It then turned from discomfort to the most extreme burning I've ever felt in my life. My vagina was burning for a good 4 hours. I can admit, the following day, my yeast infection went away. But the process before that was literally helllllll! I was literally crying all night because I didn't think the burning would go away. I would rather deal with the yeast infection than deal with that burning pain I felt. Although it helps, I don't think it's worth all that pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have to admit I am quite surprised at all the negative reviews. I've used Monistat 1 every time I get a yeast infection, and I never had any horrible symptoms as others described. I always feel relief within a few hours, and my yeast infection totally clears up in no time. I'm wondering if the people who experience symptoms are not inserting the medication far enough inside. If you don't insert it correctly, once the egg starts to dissolve, the product could get on areas that are already inflamed/sore, which could lead to more irritation/discomfort. Read the instructions to ensure you are inserting the product correctly! I would highly recommend this product! 5 stars!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a UTI, then antibiotics made it itch and twitch and overall uncomfortable. Once I realized I had a YI due to antibiotics, I tried Monistat 1 for quick results. Absolutely no concerns. I got the pack with the cream and wipes. Love the cream for the outside to minimize the YI itching. Ovule is messier than I realized. Within 24 hours of using, I feel 100% better. Would use again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased Monistat 1 day, max strength. Came with ovule + applicator, cream, and cooling wipes. Unfortunately, I was one of the unlucky ones who didn't read the reviews before using. Every 1-star review is accurate-hellish burning, extreme discomfort, feels like Satan has taken residence on your vagina, etc. It wasn't until I removed about half of the cream that I felt a little better. The cream seems to make the sensation worse. The only thing that worked on the package are the cooling wipes. Sad. Not even sure if in the end, my YI will be treated."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had been prescribed antibiotics, and unfortunately, had a YI within just a few days. I did lots of research but wanted it to go away as quickly as possible. I bought the Monistat 1, and inserted it as I was getting ready for bed. As soon as I laid down, I was reading reviews and immediately was so scared with the terribly painful reviews that some have posted that I couldn't sleep with the anticipation of pain I was about to feel. I stayed awake for four hours and felt no pain, for about 20 minutes, I felt a little bit uncomfortable, but nothing close to what was explained on here. I guess everyone handles pain differently, but it did the job, and by the second day, I was all better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I came to this page after applying the medicine at night and burning for the next 15 hours. I wanted to see how it worked for everyone else, and most of them had the same reaction. Although it was very uncomfortable, I have to admit it worked! The 1st night and day after was the worst, but after day 2, I noticed my symptoms from the YI and the medicine were gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I caught my yeast infection really early and decided to do a one-day treatment but couldn’t find my usual brand, Equate, so I decided to use Monistat. Thirty minutes after applying the ovule and cream, I was in immense discomfort and was literally crying. I used a cold compress, but that wasn’t working either. I ended up taking a shower and trying to wash it all out after reading some reviews. Now sitting here with an ice pack between my legs, I still have extreme discomfort and even more extreme swelling. My advice is never to use any Monistat products and stick to the cheaper choice, which is Equate."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh. My. God. I thought my YI was bad before I used Monistat, and now I'm wishing for that 'pain and itching' to return to me. Lord in heaven. I paid a lot for this, and my honey pot is BURNING. Not just uncomfortable, I'm literally dancing around and yelling curse words as I'm typing this. I can't take it anymore. I need to ice my vagina. I never thought I would ever NEED to ice my vagina. But thanks, Monistat. The grandest of canyons has been scorched by satan's nectar."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again. Whatever you're going through, this product will raise your pain and discomfort to hellish levels. Go Diflucan, or a 3-day, or a 7-day... anything but this one. The pain is killing me right now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I made an account here just to write a review on this product. Before taking this, I had already heard some bad things, but I decided to go ahead and try it anyway. Once I inserted the product, I started reading more reviews and literally went into a panic because of how bad people were saying this was. After about an hour, I felt a little tingly/irritation down there, but it wasn't painful, just a little annoying and uncomfortable. The second I felt that, I took two Tylenol extra strength, just in case this feeling started getting worse. I'm not sure if they prevented any pain or if the product just didn't get worse, but I wasn't in pain at all while using this. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe the Tylenol helped. Don't be scared of using this product because of all the reviews, there are plenty of people like me who are fine and probably don't take the time to review it as they have happily moved on with their lives (pain, burn, and itch free)!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought the Monistat 1 (6.5) yesterday because I had gotten a pretty bad yeast infection and just wanted it gone! Here's what happened... I read all of the instructions before bed (around 11 PM), and it seemed pretty straightforward. I grabbed what I needed (panties, panty liner, and meds) and laid on the bed. After the meds were in, I was scared to get up. I know there was a time where this stuff would rub like the Dickens. I had some itching and discomfort about 10 minutes into the process. The pain wasn't unbearable, but it wasn't a walk in the park either. I ignored it until I fell asleep. This morning, I am pleased to say I have no itching, no burning, and after a great shower, I have no discharge. Seems to have worked fine. I recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't feel burning but deep internal itching. How can this be? The YI was nowhere near like this. It is very, very, very uncomfortable. Woke me up out of my sleep 2 hours after I inserted the ovule. I should've stuck with regular treatment. I thought something was wrong, so I went back and read the instructions and saw where it mentions side effects. Should've been in large writing in red. I'm doing my best to bear it, but I definitely would NOT recommend this to any other woman. It's crazy!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat 1! This medicine is unbelievable! First of all, it puts you in more pain and discomfort than you were already in! The burning sensation is unbearable. I'm literally sitting on the toilet trying to push it out. I can't even sleep, it's been in for about 2 hours. Use the 3 or 7 day, it is less harsh."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "About 30 min after inserting this Surprise Egg of absolute awfulness, I began experiencing the true trials of Monistat 1. First, the itch of death came, I yearned for a scratch so hard a cactus would seem like a good option. Up next, Mordor was relocated to my cave of wonders with burning sensations so hot and swelling with so much pressure the Helzberg and IDC were calling to harvest the diamond forged from it. After desperately pleading with every god of every religion, as well as soaking in the hot water and rinsing what was left of my mangled bits, the side effects subsided some, but are still rather uncomfortable and present. At this point in time, I have reached hour 3 and hope that it only gets better from here. 10/10 would not recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got Monistat 1 and inserted it before I read any reviews. Once I had inserted it, I went online to read reviews (which I know is typically backwards). Once I read these reviews, I became very nervous that this terrible burn and itching sensation would occur. About 1 1/2, maybe 2 hours after I had inserted it, I started to feel uncomfortable, but it did not get worse than that. I had no serious itching or unbearable burning occur. I believe this is because I caught my YI early on and treated it at its beginning stages. Although the next time I would probably insert this before bed instead of during the day, I would use it again as it did solve my problem."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Because I have kidney problems and recurring kidney infections, I'm often prescribed antibiotics, causing frequent yeast infections. I use Monistat EVERY time I've gotten a YI. Yes, the burning and itching are intense, but I'd much rather have extreme symptoms for 1 day than itching and discomfort for a week from an untreated YI. I even go to work with the ovule in, it's not that much more intense than the YI symptoms alone. And no, I do not have a sitting-down job."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I inserted the ovule around 6:30 p.m., immediately followed by the external cream. Around 9:45 p.m., I began to feel an intense burning sensation. Like others have claimed, I have a high tolerance for pain. I did not cry, and I did not show my family that I was in extreme discomfort (I REALLY WAS). It is now 11:30 p.m., and I am feeling a little relief; it is much more bearable. I think the medicine is very highly concentrated, and it bothered me so much as it started working. I hope I continue to feel better. The discomfort was not worth the cure, though. My YI symptoms felt better before. I will definitely go to my doctor next time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 1 yesterday around 3 PM and didn't feel any tingling until 3 hours later. I have to agree that it is uncomfortable, but it is bearable. It has to get worse before it gets better. The cottage cheese-like discharge is starting to come out today, and it feels very uncomfortable. I will be much happier when the irritation inside the vagina goes away. I would still consider this product because the warning labels do say that the side effects cause intense burning."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had some irritation and discomfort from a YI. I've used Monistat 1 day in the past, so I purchased it again in hopes of getting relief as I've gotten in the past. Instead, I got the worst itching and burning my vagina has ever had. After reading the reviews, I became very concerned and tried to wash as much of this product off as I could. I pray this medication doesn't cause any serious problems. I can't even sleep because the burning is so uncomfortable. Sooo disappointed. I DO NOT recommend this product even though I've used it in the past to cure my YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had never had a yeast infection in my life until two days ago. I decided that I would try Monistat 1 because I wanted it gone quickly. I went to the store the morning after symptoms started, and I inserted the ovule around 11 a.m. and applied the cream. I took a nap for a couple of hours and could already feel some relief from the itching and burning. When I got up, I did feel some slight leaking, and I still felt a little discomfort, but it was nowhere near what it was earlier that day. I was getting some discharge and a little itching, but nothing major. By bedtime, the itching had gotten a little worse, so I applied more cream, took some Aleve, and crawled into bed. I got up this morning, and all itching and burning are gone. All in less than 24 hours."
