Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Excessive daytime fatigue. I tried armodafinil 150mg first and it worked well by 2nd week, then energy uptake stopped and suffered through pounding heart, restlessness, anxiety and nausea. Next was Sunosi 75mg. It skipped the ‘energy’ part and went straight to all the awful side effects. I held on it for about 10 days before it was intolerable. Now taking Adderall , 10- 15mg, once a day. I experience a window of energy for about 2 hours ( nothing excessive, just alert like after a good nights sleep, which I haven’t had for 2 years). Sometimes with med I experience a ‘crash’ of agitation and exasperated cervical dystonia but that was pre-existing and is usually non- existent because of treatment therapy. The side effects of the non- amphetamine drugs were too much too tolerant, with little relief. I will stick to the occasional Adderall, which I take every 2-3 days , when my responsibilities become backlogged due to my inertia."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Sunosi was not my friend. Did help me stay alert, gave me an internal feeling of agitation. I appeared anxious but never felt any anxiety. At the end of the day I always had a crash effect but never felt any type of kick in effect after taking it in the morning. My hands would twitch and I would type incorrectly on the keyboard while working and the mouse would fly. All extremities had tremors. My sleep was only 3-4 hours a night. This was the only medication that ever gave me a single digit score on a sleep questionnaire with my doctor but the side effects were horrible. I’m now taking something else."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Narcolepsy "I absolutely love Sunosi and have been taking it for 3 years. It helps significantly with my excessive daytime sleepiness and I have no side effects other than keeping in mind to not drink too much caffeine with it or I’ll get jittery. I take 150mg though, 75 didn’t do enough for me."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "I’ve been on CPAP since about 2005. After years on this, I started having trouble staying awake. I would recognize the feeling before I would start getting drowsy. My job is my life; I drive a school bus. My doctor said we could try Sunosi, 75mg. He told me about the pros and cons, but it worked, and most days I only need half a pill. No side effects. I’ve used it for 3 years. Now I’ve got to start over because my insurance will not approve my prescription."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) "So, about 3 weeks ago, my neurologist gave me a trial for sunosi since Ritalin wasn't doing anything to improve my EDS. I have idiopathic hypersomnia, and it is honestly a struggle even with the medication I currently have, modafinil. I've been on modafinil for about 2 years now, 200mg twice daily. It helps, but it doesn't do enough. When the doctor gave me sunosi, I thought maybe this one will be the one that helps. I was wrong. I barely notice a difference in my wakefulness, and on top of that the side effects are awful. I feel like I can't catch a full breath, I'm getting dizzy all the time, my eyes feel like they can't focus properly, and the tremors are fairly severe. I can't hold anything steady, and my legs are extremely shaky as if I've just done a marathon. The headache is awful, and it makes me feel like I'm slightly detached from my own body. My chest feels tight, and I'm always nauseous. I have felt off for about a week now, with the symptoms worsening. Not the drug for me."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "We are not really sure of what my diagnosis is one doctor says the circadian clock no longer works because of the hypothetic disfunction the other says OSP. Side note 20 mg of sildenafil an hour before bedtime will bring you down to one or fewer events per hour. I am on sildenafil 20 mg a for for Pulmonary Hypertension. Sunosi was the third medication they tried on me for awareness. The first 2 did not work. My doctor slowly got me to 150 mg. It worked for about 2 weeks. Now I take it before walking my dog at 6:30 a.m, and my 8 a.m I am out in a deep sleep for at least 5 hours. All of our bodies are different. The problem with chronic fatigue is no one agrees on the source. Until we learn to treat the source, this is all a guessing game. Also be careful because it can raise your blood pressure. I am on a blood pressure medicine, and two with side effects to lower you blood pressure. I average about 170/90, and my cardiologist said there is noting which can be done."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "My PA gave me a couple of samples of Sunosi 150mg because I told him I was still sleepy during the day even though I've been on CPAP steadily for over a year. I'd seen the TV ads for Sunosi, so I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately, it's been a disappointment. I'm only somewhat less sleepy during the day since I've been taking it. I still find myself fighting sleep during what are supposed to be "waking" hours. On the plus side, though, I haven't had any side effects from it. I'll just have to find something else."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) "Dose: 150mg oral tablet x 1 per day (morning). Sunosi brand solriamfetol. Very easy to swallow. Obvious effects within an hour. The first few days were a bit strange - I was hyper-aware of my faster heartbeat, I had very shaky hands, I was tripping over my own words, and I couldn't sit still. I also woke up drenched in sweat and was having a hard time falling asleep. As it's calmed down, most of the cons have gone away. Pros: I am very focused and energized for the whole day. I feel motivated to work and stay tidy. I am in a better mood because I do not feel as tired or foggy in my head. My memory is working better and I'm able to pay attention for longer periods of time. Cons: Having a harder time falling asleep. Feeling hungry all the time. Hands are sweatier, mouth is very dry."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "It might work for a couple of days, then the helpful effect of keeping me alert stops, and I have to stay off it for an interminable amount of time before it returns to being effective. But while the positive effects may wane, the negative effects of nausea, depression, and insomnia may linger for hours. Worse, I have to wait up to 2 hours to discover if Sunosi - 75mg - will work that day. Thankfully, I have a doctor who understands this and gave me a prescription for Adderall, which works unconditionally."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Have obstructive and central apnea and have been diagnosed with hypersomnia. Have taken Adderall for close to 30 years, currently 60mg but as high as 90mg. Even with a Cpap tired all day. Last 8 years really needed to start taking naps mid-day. Has Provigal added, and at first it helped. Dropped the Provigal and prescribed Sunosi. I have to say that at 75mgs, this has been effective and keeps me up throughout most days without a nap."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Narcolepsy "Sunosi has been a life-changer for me. I suffer from narcolepsy, and my doctor added Sunosi to my therapy. It has improved my ability to maintain wakefulness. My only complaint is that my pharmacy does not carry it and has to order it every month, and I sometimes experience interruptions in my medication."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Narcolepsy "Personally, Sunosi has been life-changing for me. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy in college and tried a few other stimulants that only left me sick to my stomach, jittery, and constantly throwing up. My doctor gave me Sunosi about 4-5 years ago, and it makes a huge difference in my quality of life. No, it doesn't always last all day, but I am able to wake up (I take it around 7-8 am) normally, and it clears my brain fog. 75 mg didn't do anything for me, so I've been on 150 mg since I first started it. I do supplement with 5 mg Adderall when needed, such as in the winter and if I have to sit at my desk all day. I don't have any side effects either. I actually ran out today as I'm waiting for my new insurance to approve it, and I can tell a huge difference without it even though I have taken 15 mg Adderall. I have type 2 narcolepsy, so no cataplexy or random sleep spells, but my EDS (Excessive Daytime Sleepiness) is very bad. Hope this helps someone who is wanting to try it!"

Sunosi (solriamfetol) "I recently was given samples of Sunosi for horrible fatigue, which is a common problem for those of us with MS. I have been taking 150 mg around 8:00 am. It seems to start working 45 min to 1 hr later. It helps tremendously with daytime sleepiness. It works pretty well for most of the day, but by late afternoon, I'm crashing with fatigue again. I was on Adderall previously."

For Narcolepsy "I started with 1/2 of a 75mg solriamfetol pill which seemed like it helped, but it was over a weekend when I could sleep in. No noticeable help during weekdays, so I tried 75mg on waking at 4:30am. It was barely noticeable. I tried taking 1/2 when I woke up and 1/2 around 9am. Still very sleepy in the morning and afternoon. Doctor told me to try 150mg so I am trying 75mg on waking and 75mg at 9am. Still foggy and falling asleep at work but now I am having horrible headaches, my jaw is sore from tensing, and heart feels like it’s racing or trying to come out of my chest. I’m not thrilled but I’m going to try a few more days and hope it gets better."

Sunosi (solriamfetol) for Narcolepsy "It takes a while for it to work. I also do not metabolize it very well. I have to take it every day, and so if I miss the dose due to oversleeping, I have a very short window to take it. After that time has passed, it's too late. I'm a single parent, so it's very inconvenient. It increases the incidence of insomnia and this year I have had a significant increase in migraine breakthrough as well. However, it has been available whereas the generic Adderall has not been. This was a better option to stay awake and somewhat functional than nothing at all. But I will request to switch back once the shortage is corrected. This is just not working. Also, my insurance barely covered this, and I will be losing my coverage at the end of the year since I am disabled and there was a mix-up with the state and the end of some pandemic funding."
