"I lost 75 lbs on Wegovy. It wasn't worth it. People assume I have all this energy now. I feel like a shell of my former self. Run down, no appetite...and just got back from the hospital, since I didn't have a bowel movement for almost 2 weeks once I was at the 2.4 dose. I can't recommend this drug. You will essentially give up your normal life to lose weight. To me, the benefits don't outweigh the risks."

"I have been on Wegovy 0.25mg for 4 weeks and started on 0.5mg today. I have lost 8 lbs so far and have had no side effects at all. I have noticed that I am not as hungry and do feel fuller with less food intake. I will continue with this and hopefully get to the weight I want to be."

"I love it! Wegovy did what I needed it to do, it calmed my appetite. I had zero side effects. I lost twenty pounds in one month. I only have one problem, I can no longer get Wegovy in my needed dosage of 0.25 mg. I will patiently wait for the manufacture of Wegovy to catch up to the demand for their product because it works that well for me. Thank you for creating a product that has worked as advertised."

"I started Wegovy Jan. 2022. I didn’t feel much effect for two months, although I lost a few pounds. Starting the third month it kicked in. The weight loss isn’t fast, about 4 to 6 lbs a month, which I feel is healthy. I’ve lost 27 pounds. Like others, I had some queasiness especially in the first few months, but it was quickly resolved with Zofran and has mostly disappeared. I now feel full after smaller portions than before and notice I eat about half as much as previously and feel perfectly satisfied. I’ve read that you tend to gain weight back if you go off the drug and that many doctors feel you should be on it forever, as with other chronic conditions. I hope that’s not the case, as I don’t like the idea of being on any drug forever. In fact I’m hoping I can also go off blood pressure meds eventually. My goal is to lose another 30 lbs which now feels entirely do-able. My excellent insurance covers it at $25 a month."

"Started taking Wegovy. First month, 0.25 dose. After injection, started with nausea and vomiting. As the week went on, it eased. 2nd and 3rd week were pretty much the same. 4th week had 2 days where I was really ill - vomiting, diarrhea, pains in the tummy. Finally, it went away. In the first 4 weeks, I lost 16lbs. Now on my first week of 0.50 dose, took the first dose of 0.50 as usual. The day after the injection, I got some sickness (vomiting), though it stopped pretty quickly. I guess my body is starting to adjust. It's not an easy journey, but the food I can eat is a lot less - smaller meals, high protein. The tiredness I find difficult. I would say, take supplements like B12 and a multivitamin, and drink plenty of water. This is by no means a quick or easy fix. Some days, it's hard, especially if you get the nausea, vomiting, and tiredness. But the weight loss is steady, so for now, my journey continues. It greatly reduces your appetite and the amount of food, but be warned, if you overeat, there are some nasty side effects."

"I’ve been using Wegovy for 12 weeks. I’m up to .50 and staying here. Tried 1.0 and it was too strong. Felt nauseous and experienced painful stomach cramps with 1.0. I have reached my goal weigh. I lost 35 pounds and I’m very happy with the process and results. The only negative is, I’m on thyroid medication and noticed hot flashes and heart palpitations I didn’t experience before. I had my levels checked and they are way off! Consulting with my doctor. Not sure if I’ll continue Wegovy."

"I'm in my 9 th week, now at 1mg. I learned very quickly to eat small portions, and slowly, because I would feel way too full if I tried eating as much as I used to. I tried a couple weeks ago to eat a whole Popeye's chicken sandwich for lunch. I felt nauseous all day afterwards. Half a sandwich is enough. I'm down 10%+ of my weight already. It is very easy. I am just not hungry. The hard part is changing how much to put on my plate. Now that I'm used to taking less, I'm totally fine and don't even think about hunger, cravings, anything. Wow. So happy."

"Wegovy is working great! Very important to hydrate and have a lot of fiber. Also, control your portion size; you cannot eat large portions. I'm following a strict 1300 calorie lifestyle change. From June 17, 2023, to present (Sept 19, 2023), I've lost 30 lbs. The injections are simple and virtually painless. I'm currently on 1.7 and I have little to no side effects. I inject every Saturday night before I go to sleep. I read that taking medication before bed reduces nausea and for me, it has worked. The only side effect is that I have absolutely NO desire to drink alcohol. The best side effect ever! I've already stopped taking blood pressure medication, cholesterol medication has been reduced to the lowest dose, and my A1C is out of the pre-diabetic range and within normal limits, and I'm only halfway to my weight loss goal. All medication has been stopped or reduced by my physician after blood work. Very happy!"

"Wegovy has agonizing side effects. I had to quit after 2 months. Constant uncontrollable vomiting, I vomited at work, and while driving (which was horrific and dangerous). I essentially became bulimic, and afraid to eat. I lost 20 pounds but put half of it back right away. Not worth the agony."

"I started the 0.25 on April 1 at 158 lbs. Moved up to the 0.5 after 4 weeks. Today is June 14th, and I am down to 141. Down 17 pounds in 8 weeks. Sometimes the days are rough, but the side effects occur depending on how poorly you eat. I'm going to stay on the 0.5 for another 4 weeks since I am having great success. I will up the dosage if I plateau."

"I took my first 0.25 shot of Wegovy 4 days ago. Everything is going great so far. I experience a very small amount of nausea in the morning but it is completely manageable. I have noticed that I am more content throughout the day and my portion sizes have gone down. I have also had a lot more energy and don’t feel so tired all the time. I know that it is very early to really give a review for this medication so this is more directed to those individuals who are nervous or scared to start the medication. I was terrified after reading some of the “bad” reviews but I finally did it. I know we will all have different experiences but it was definitely worth trying in my opinion!"

"I love the effects of Wegovy, however, my stomach felt upset the whole time I took it. I lost a lot of weight, pretty quickly. It happened so fast; I could not keep up with clothing size changes. I lost about 50 pounds in 3 months. I tried to eat, but the weight kept coming off. I would recommend a probiotic to help with the stomach issues, but overall, I am happy with the experience."

"Personally, I would recommend Wegovy to anyone struggling with weight loss. I'm 6 months in, a 41-year-old man. My starting weight was 14 stone 9.5 lb, and I'm currently 13 stone 2.5 lb. I'll start with the negatives: 1. Cost - this is very expensive, especially at the top dose, which is what you'll likely stay on for the longest. 2. Side effects - everyone is different; for me, it was indigestion and occasional nausea, but it's been perfectly manageable and worth it considering the benefits of the weight loss. The positives: I rarely feel hungry; I often have to force myself to eat. My portion sizes are much smaller, and I no longer go for sweet treats before bed. I haven't altered my diet at all; I still eat unhealthy food when I want, just less of it, and less frequently, so I don't struggle with cravings for foods that I'm not allowed."

"I have lost 19 pounds in the first 4 weeks on 0.25 dosage. I have found that low-fat cottage cheese with some fruit is good around noon as a brunch, with a high-protein dinner and a small salad. I was 2 weeks in over Thanksgiving and was still able to enjoy most everything, but just in much smaller portions. Eating out, I order fish or chicken and ask for a box with the dinner and split it for leftovers. Absolutely no side effects - except for the first day each week after the shot, I find I burp after eating. Also, note: the effects start off very strong during the first part of the week and taper towards the end. I do find myself able to eat more on the last day before my next shot, but even still no major hunger pains. Eat high protein and low-fat, and drink lots of water. I weigh myself every morning and find I lose more on days I drink at least 50 or more ounces of water the previous day. My goal is to lose 40 pounds, and at this rate, I think it will only take me about 70 days. Best journey ever!"

"Tuesday was the second shot. So far, no headaches, just upset stomach now and then. I really like that it takes all hunger away. Now I just focus on eating healthy and much less. I'm a 60-year-old man, started at 293 lbs. Tuesday, before the shot, I weighed 283. I feel better when I drink water, which I drink at least 10 bottles a day. Eat more fruit and veggies."

"I’m on Week 15 of treatment and have lost nothing. On the first dose of 0.75 mg I experienced heartburn, fullness, and zero appetite for 5 days. I was hopeful that it had finally started to work. On subsequent doses of 0.75 mg and 1 mg, and now on 1.7 mg I’ve felt no effects from Wegovy. I’ve tried switching injection sites from my abdomen to my arm with no effect."

"I have been on Wegovy for 5 months. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have lost almost 50 lbs and it has given me my life back. I was overweight and depressed for years after having my last child. The only side effect I have had is some occasional constipation. This medication is amazing!"

"Started my journey 6/10/2024. It is currently 6/25/2024 and I took my 3rd shot last night. No weight loss yet but my appetite for food has completely died down. I will feel full for most of the day after eating two boiled eggs for breakfast although now I eat them for lunch bc I’m not hungry in the morning. No side effects so far, one more shot of 0.25 left then I will start the 0.5. Hopefully weight will start going down, I have always had issues losing pounds no matter how little I ate. I am 5 1, female, 37 bmi and 204 pounds. Wishing y'all and myself luck. If you’re afraid of taking your first shot, don’t be. It is virtually painless and most people don’t have side effects. I think it’s worth a shot for sure. I’ll keep y'all posted, update in a month."

"First few weeks, appetite started to fall away. Lost 6 lb, then the sickness started - nausea, bloating, and stomach pain. Certain foods make this worse, and the nausea is daily now. On week 6 and down 9 lb, going to keep going unless this gets worse. It's like being pregnant again!"

"Started with the .25mg dose and had very little side effects. A slight tiredness was felt but noticed immediately the reduce level of my appetite and hunger needs. I felt full sooner with smaller portions of food and had no cravings to nibble on stuff at night... which was the norm for me. Make sure to eat well with a basic caloric intake needed for your height and weight, drink plenty of fluids and get decent sleep daily. This along with a normal gym schedule works wonders! I have been on the medication for 5 days now and lost (I assume mostly water weight) 5 lbs in this short time period. I stay active which also helps with weight loss but have noticed a complete change in appetite and the lack of needing to snack during the day. I feel this plan will work for me in my goal to lose 20 lbs. and will help keep the weight off due to forcing a lifestyle change in my exercise and activity levels being increased. The key is having the desire for change and Wegovy assists in that."

"Started Wegovy 3 months ago using the gradual phase-up method. From .25 mg dose for 4 weeks to .50 mg dose for 4 weeks then 1.0 mg dose for 4 weeks. During the initial phase, I experienced mild nausea and some stomach irritation. With each increase the symptoms got worse until finally at the full 1.0 mg dose I was so sick I thought I had stomach flu for 2 weeks continuously. The belching was horrible. The nausea caused uncontrollable vomiting and I had frequent diarrhea. After 3 months I lost 12 pounds and felt horrible every day. I've now reduced the dose to .5 mg but still suffer from nausea and stomach upset. I might cut back again but I'm thinking I will quit. The way I feel all the time is horrible!! I'm thinking I lost weight because of all the vomiting. Not recommended."

"I'm a newcomer. Been taking Wegovy for 4 weeks now, lost 4 kilos so far. My problem is my appetite & overeating. Wegovy is a Godsend, it completely eradicated my appetite, so I only eat 2 small meals a day. I combine this with reduced carbs & 16-hour IF. I aim to lose 20 kilos in 6 months, which sounds better than drastic, excessive weight loss too quickly. I'll keep you updated."

"Pros- I've been on Wegovy for 7 Months. it Started Working right away. Lost between 8-15 lbs. a month. it mostly has effected my appetite. (not feeling hungry). have lost 65 lbs. thus far Cons- nothing noticeable until I made it to the 1.7mg dosage and it got worse on the 2.4mg.. severe diarrhea and cramps a day after eating. I noticed this became more regular after the 2.4mg dosage. it happens 4-5 days after the injection only for it to clear up after I give myself the next injection. any Bismuth anti-diarrhea helps to clear this but you have to remember to take with with almost every meal."

"I had been on this drug for 4 months. Typical escalation dose until month 4 I stayed on the 1mg. The side effects were rough since increasing to 1mg. So much nausea, worsened reflux, constipation, bloating, burping, and indigestion. I vomited once but there were a few times I almost did. In the last few weeks, I noticed hair loss. Noticed skin tags that I have never had...like 3 grow since the med. Weird. Oh, and I had serious issues with certain smells. I had to change out the hand soaps in my house 5 times. If I smell rubbing alcohol I am instantly nauseous. Just looking at the wegovy box before injecting would make me dizzy and nauseous. So weird. Difficult to eat healthy on this med due to side effects and only able to tolerate simple carbs, low-fat diet. Also hard to work out when feeling so nauseous...so didn't think it was contributing to my health. Has not really contributed to weight loss and appetite is almost the same as before med."
