Ozempic (semaglutide) "I noticed my husband, who is diabetic, losing weight even though his food intake was not lessened much. For myself, I exercise for approximately 2 hours every day, eat very little, and my weight does not shift. So, in trying Ozempic, in one month, I have lost 10 lbs (eating some naughty things) but mostly just eating like 'normal' people. I feel like I can cheat a little, and my body still eliminates the calories. Being tired of not enjoying food and feeling guilty if I did was a terrible trap. This weight loss keeps me encouraged. I feel no side effects that I have not had from dieting in the past, like diarrhea or constipation, but the diarrhea only lasted a day. The constipation lasted 4 days, and then I was fine. I am a normal, healthy person, so using this drug does not cause me any other side effects. Listing every possible side effect is just a legal requirement, in my opinion. I take a 1 mg dose, am a 67-year-old woman, and have tried every possible form of weight loss. In 67 years, I finally feel free!"

I have insurance, and I am a senior. I have been on it for about 4 to 6 months, and it seems to work for me. I lost about 15 lbs. on it so far. Easy instructions to follow."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have taken 1 dose of the 0.25 mg. Tomorrow I will be taking my 2nd dose. So it has been 6 days for me. I have already lost 4 lbs. I was very nauseated and had some heartburn the first 24 hours after I took the dose. It got better with Pepto-Bismol and Tums. I didn't really get sick after that day. I don't have an appetite at all. I eat enough to keep me healthy, no more. I have gotten mild nausea once when I ate some chocolate chip cookies, but no nausea with healthy foods like fruit and veggies. I haven't done much exercise either."

I am borderline diabetic and could not get on top of my weight no matter the diet or exercise program - nothing was sustainable as only extremes worked. Ozempic (semaglutide) "I started on June 8, 2024. I have stayed on the 0.25, and today is July 13, 2024, and I have lost 21 pounds. I do not have diabetes, but I do have CKD from open-heart surgery. I started with the injection in my thigh and NO SIDE EFFECTS. You don't feel hungry or anything, and you can't overeat, or you will wake up in the middle of the night, vomiting, and feeling really bad. My husband found out after overeating at Texas Roadhouse. I am going to start the 0.5 next Saturday."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. The weight gain brought on joint pain, trouble breathing, sleep apnea, afib, raised blood pressure, and cholesterol. Hopefully in 6 months, I will be down 40-50 lbs."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am pleased with the results so far but I have had some stomach pain. I also suffer from constipation, so my usual daily dosage is a Magnesium 250 mg gel tab. I have now added 2 teaspoons of Benefiber to my diet. It does help to process the food along my upper stomach. The pain is not all that bad for the benefits. I really do not have an appetite like I did before. I have included more protein and salad and seafood into my diet."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Have been on this for about 2 years. Blood sugars were 11 before taking, now average about 6. Really need to watch how much I est or will throw up. Blurry vision, stomach aches occasionally . Generally this has been a great med for me, reduced the medications I was taking for diabetes. Now I take 10 mg jardiance and 4 mg glimiperide. No more insulin!!"

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I just started Ozempic 1 month and a week ago. I have Type 2 diabetes and am very overweight. I haven't had any negative side effects that I realize. I do know that I am not wanting to eat as much as I was as I'm feeling fuller faster and not wanting snacks during the day. I also know that home scales and doctor's office scales don't always agree with each other, but I weighed myself at home today and my scale says I have lost 5 lbs! I sure hope the doctor's scale says the same or better! I am really optimistic about my A1C being much lower as well as my weight for my next visit! Thanks, Ozempic, for possibly being the life-saving aid I needed!"

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "So far, so good. I have had to decrease my insulin from 44 units to 22 units and stopped 500 metformin. Lost 10 lbs in the first 1 1/2 weeks, then plateaued; now weight is dropping again (4 lbs). I've been on it for 4 weeks and will increase to 0.5 on the next shot day. Got the prescription from my doctor and will see him 3 months from starting Ozempic. Really watching what I eat. Only side effect so far is feeling tired a lot, but I can live with that. Oh, and I am 71 years old and obese with a body mass index of 49. Ouch, I know."

Rybelsus (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Short story is this drug worked for me! 242 lbs Started 7.4 A1C. 3mg Rybelsus. I was really trying hard. Fast food I cut and was exercising 3 days a week. I have a sweet tooth and my wife is a great baker. She had something ready for me all the time. Sunday doughnut trips. Dairy Queen etc. Cut but not cut all out. 30 days later I did lose some weight. A1C 7.0. The Doc told me the prescribing was 3mg for 30 days then 7mg. I did exercise 4 days a week and cut the sweets some more (that was hard lol). Then the magic happened. In 150 days from start 3mg to 7mg, my A1C 5.1, 195 pounds. 5 more to go. I'm 6 ft tall. I was a fat boy at 242. Now all my old clothes fit with a belt. I know this drug won't work for everyone. However, it worked for me. It will work for you if you try hard. Don't just take the drug. I do get an upset stomach from time to time but worth it!"
