Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "On the good side, I have lost 15 lbs in 4 months, and after 3 months on Ozempic, my HgbA1c went from 9.1 down to 6.6 (normal range 4.6-5.6), which is the lowest it's ever been since I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 17 years ago. On the downside, lately, I have been experiencing dizziness/vertigo and hoarseness since last week. I take 0.5 mg, I started at 0.25 mg. I love that it brought my A1c down to almost normal. I go back to the doctor in 3 weeks to check my A1c again. It's easy to use once weekly. My doctor never increased my dose, she's thrilled."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Have been taking semaglutide for 4 months. I have lost weight, which was my main reason for trying it. But I feel amazing! I have more energy. I am sleeping better at night. No afternoon naps. I don’t crave food like I did. I eat normal food. I just stay away from sugars and carbs. I just wish I could afford to continue. The cost is outrageous."

Ozempic (semaglutide) "Taking a 1 mg dose weekly, exercising twice a week. Was 200 lb, now 165 approx after 6 months. Eat smaller meals, three times a day. Rarely feel hungry. Occasionally feel nauseous if I try to eat a large meal. Cut out alcohol, but will enjoy one alcoholic drink with friends."

Rybelsus (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Lost too much weight, lost my appetite for food and life, until my diabetic nurse told me to stop the tablet at once. I had to go to A&E with a UTI, but while there they told me to see my GP and get a two-week referral. I looked so ill they thought it was cancer. Thankfully, it was not cancer. I’ve been off Rybelsus for three weeks and I am eating normally and feel much better. I believe in all honesty it would have been a close thing between me and death."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Wegovy, and this is the beginning of my 3rd month. I have lost 10 pounds and some inches. I found that a good multivitamin, and I take a prenatal pill every morning, helps with my energy level. Sometimes I feel like I have too much and don't know when to sit down, lol. As you may know, the medicine isn't for everyone, but your health is important, so do what your body tells you, and good luck to the ones that are successful."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I used to take 0.5, now I take 1 mg for 2 months, and I have started having heartburn even when I haven’t eaten. It’s very painful and feels like a heart attack, no other side effects. Ozempic helps control my blood sugars, which is good for me."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Hashimoto's, 5'3" overweight. Not yet obese, but pretty close. Lost 17 pounds in 6 months. Effortlessly. I thought I only lost 5 pounds. I noticed a difference in my clothes but thought it was my imagination. Didn't really modify my diet, just stopped eating when I felt full. Best dose, max dose. Side effects are heartburn, but that's if I ate like I did before. Calories a day: 1700, desk job, not a lot of exercise, and still lost weight. Before, 17 pounds larger, fasted for 20-24 hours at 1200 calories and body inflamed. My cholesterol now is healthy. Sleep is better. Less apnea episodes, to my surprise."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Fantastic. My dietitian and my sports medicine advisors ramped me from 0.25 to 1.0 mg over 3 months, for 7 months total use. Stabilized dose at 1.0 mg. Optimal results. Lost 55 lbs within 4 months, switched exercise regime from cardio only to cardio + strength training. Increased muscle mass while maintaining the same weight. Very happy with the results and treatment option (1.0 mg subdermal injection every 7 days)."

Ozempic (semaglutide) "I am a 47-year-old woman taking Ozempic for 4 weeks now. .25 doses. I started at 300 lbs at 5.7'. Week 1 and 2, I had no side effects, week 3, I was a bit bloated and constipated. But I increased my water intake and walked for 40 mins 3 times a week, and it was gone within a few days. I lost 5 lbs in week 1 and 2, nothing week 3 (I assume due to the bloating and constipation), and another 5 lbs in week 4 for a total of 15 lbs in 4 weeks! I am very excited and motivated. I have always struggled with my weight, I was never a huge overeater, just very bad choices due to a lack of willpower! But since taking Ozempic, although I still get very small cravings, I find it so much easier to control. I can have a bag of chips in the house and just have a cup for an after-dinner snack and not go back for seconds! It is amazing! I can promise I have tried this before… many times… and it never worked! I would go back for seconds and thirds until the bag was gone! Lol. So far, worth the cost (no coverage)."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I can only thank the makers of these drugs. For 30 years, I have suffered from what is now known as food noise. Now, I feel normal. I can say no to foods that before I craved all the time. I still get cravings, but it's amazing that I can have a protein shake or something small and that feeling goes away quickly. Now, Wegovy wasn't easy at the start. I had bad symptoms at the start… very bad. I was often sick or had sulfur burps. It wasn't until I spoke with a well-educated nutritionist who supports these drugs that explained I needed to drop my dose below the 0.25. As soon as I switched to 0.10, then 0.20, then 0.40, this slower transition helped a lot. He also explained I should try a liquid diet… which I didn't like the sound of at first, but he explained if I had a small protein shake before meals or when I was hungry, it would be easily digestible and force me to eat very small solid food meals. My god, it helped. Now, after 9 months, I've lost 20% of my weight. Couldn't be happier."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have tried multiple different medications to aid with weight loss. They were all expensive and negatively impacted my mental health, and I did not lose weight. So, I was skeptical when trying this. I have had minimal side effects and have averaged 1 kg weight loss every week from the very start. I feel in control of my eating for the first time ever. For me, it’s working, so happy to keep paying for it."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I have been on Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes. Was overweight as well, I am 4'11 and had ballooned to over 170 pounds. I was taking medicine for blood pressure, anxiety, depression, you know, all the things. I started in March 2022. My A1c was 7.9. Today I am down to 105 (hold up, that is normal for my height). No more high pressure. Beginning, I wasn't sure I would get past the nausea, but I fought through it, and yes, it does go away. I have been on stool softeners for a while, so I have never had any issues going to the restroom. My A1c is 5.4 now. I don't feel good, though. I can't put my finger on it, but I am severely exhausted and fatigued. I will not trash this medicine because I think it works as it should and has been amazing for diabetics. I just wish I didn't feel like poo all the time. The side effects do subside over time. My doctor and I have found the perfect dosing and schedule for me to keep my blood sugar under control."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed Wegovy on July 3rd for weight loss and A1C levels in the diabetic range. I started month one at the lowest dose of 0.25 mg, increased month two to 0.50 mg, month three at 1.0 mg, and the last two weeks at 1.70 mg. My total weight loss as of 2 days ago is 51 lbs, and my A1C has dropped into pre-diabetes levels. I have had zero side effects, with the exception of while I’m cooking, the smell of food makes me feel full. I don’t eat right away after cooking, and my portions are extremely lower than before. My doctor last week informed me of the weight loss and BMI down 6 points, and that if I continue at this rate, he will refer me to an orthopedic surgeon for knee replacement by this coming spring."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "My doctor started me at the 0.25 mg dose for the first 2 weeks, then increased it to the 0.5 mg dose after that. Having taken the Byetta injections over 10 years ago (had to stop due to developing pancreatitis), using the Ozempic is similar, except for taking only once per week instead of taking several times a day with the Byetta. When I first started the Ozempic, I had nausea and constipation symptoms. At times, I still have some nausea, but it subsides quickly. After several weeks of being on the Ozempic, the constipation has decreased and I have developed a once-daily routine for bowel movements, which is okay by me... LOL. (Had my gallbladder out a year ago.) I have lost 14 lbs. since the start (over 4 months ago). I am still trying to regulate my diet to get the best advantage of the medication, but I work the night shift. I am happy with my Hemoglobin A1C levels, it dropped from 6.7 down to 6.2 in 1 month. Hoping it drops even further with the next lab work."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Ozempic was initially prescribed by my personal physician to lower my elevated A1C as a result of my type 2 diabetes condition. In addition to lowering my A1C, Ozempic also resulted in reducing my weight by 70 lbs. Weight reduction was not the intention of taking this drug."

Rybelsus (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I was on one 3 mg tablet daily for almost a year and went from almost 16 stone to 11 stone 10 lbs. I felt amazing, but as my blood sugar dropped so that I’m borderline, my doctor took me off Rybelsus. That stopped in May, and I have put a stone and a half back on. I will ask at my next diabetic review if they will prescribe them again, but I am only borderline because I’m still taking Metformin and Dapagliflozin. So I need to get back on this Rybelsus."
