Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "It has helped me reduce my A1c to under 6.5. My weight has gone down by 54 pounds in 2.5 years. I do sometimes have an upset stomach, but overall I am very happy I'm using this product."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Like many others, I was very hesitant to even try this because of the negative reviews. I am under the direction of a licensed clinician and go in every month for weigh-ins and consult on concerns, side effects, and things of that nature. I inject in my inner thigh every Monday before bed. I then take a Zofran and a stool softener. To date, I am 9 weeks in and I have lost 14 lbs. I am at a desk 8 hours a day so there is not a lot of room for exercising. I carry Tums everywhere I go. In terms of side effects, there's not much to tell. I have gotten random bouts of nausea but quickly figured out that it was from not eating. I have never thrown up. Last week I added a B12 injection to my weekly regimen because my energy level was low from not eating. If I can give any advice to those who are afraid of the side effects, it would be #1 inject in your inner thigh, #2 eat carbs the day of the injection, #3 drink a lot of water, and #4 don’t even attempt eating anything fried."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Fantastic. Life changing. Lost 12 kg in 2 months. Completely changed my diet, healthy, loads of comments, really noticeable. I was considering surgery but no need now. Appetite has totally changed and very little inclination to eat rubbish like chocolate or sweets. Amazing. Occasional indigestion and odd headache at the beginning."

Rybelsus (semaglutide) "I am hypothyroid and have difficulty losing weight. I was overweight as well. I was prescribed Rybelsus by my doctor. From the first 3 mg onwards, it was extremely effective. I felt an immediate lowering of appetite. I felt very sleepy the first three weeks of the 3 mg dose, but then that quickly settled. My energy levels are now stable. I work out every day, a combination of cardio and weights. I have lost 7 pounds in 25 days. I am still on the 3 mg dose. My appetite is extremely suppressed, and I can go long periods without food. I have no dizziness or anxiety. I will stay on this since I have another 8 pounds to lose. This low dose worked very well for me."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I tried everything, almost getting gastric sleeve surgery. Thanks to my cardiologist, even my heart is fine, he doesn't want to give me clearance for the operation. He recommended Wegovy. I think this is the best decision I ever made. I started on November 2nd, 2023, and until now, December 20th, I have lost an incredible 30 pounds. I now eat only two times a day. I used to eat lots of sweet stuff, but not anymore. No more late eating. I eat very small portions and I feel full all day. I love you, Wegovy, it's real. I am on a 1mg dosage. I was 331 pounds and now I am 301 pounds, with a goal to lose 40 more pounds by July. Good luck everyone, there's a chance because of Wegovy."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Type 2 diabetic with recent congestive heart failure (Nov 2021). Age 53. I am carrying some extra weight but not a massive amount. Most A1c readings had been between 6.5 and 7.5. I keep my diabetes control tight as I love my eyesight and feet. May of 2023, got an A1c of 12.9. I knew something had been off (excessive thirst and some odd weight gain) but we had a recent and very stressful move cross country and I had started a new job. In fact, I couldn’t find my glucometer because it was still packed somewhere. Anyway, started Ozempic in addition to insulin and Metformin for control. As far as lowering my A1c? Amazing. In November 2023, my A1c is 6.3. Holy hell, y'all. Cut it in half. I've lost about ten pounds. Wasn’t looking to be ultra-thin and the little weight loss is nice, but I am most concerned about the drop in A1c. It did the job. Now, the downside. I was so sick feeling for a long time. Indigestion, burping, farting, bad heartburn, constipation, nausea. For 5 months."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Previous to Ozempic, I was on Metformin as my method of controlling blood sugar. It caused extreme diarrhea! My A1C was around 8. My doctor started me on 0.5 but I needed it increased to 1.0. Using Ozempic has lowered my A1C to a consistent 6 for the three-month periods over the past year of use. I have not lost any weight, which would have been a huge plus for me as a side effect. In looking over the listed side effects, I am pleased to see that I have none of them. It has come to my attention that we have a shortage of Ozempic in Canada because people are using it for weight loss, which means it is not always available to me. Not sure what is going to happen as a result."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I bought this drug in Mexico because I couldn't get it in the States. Well, I didn't think I could at the time. It wasn't available for weight loss anyway. I took it for about four months. I lost 30 pounds right off the bat. I'm not sure whether it was the first, second, or third month, all I knew is that it was gone next time I blinked. And I got sagging skin now and everything. I didn't have any side effects at all, none that I can recall, except for the weight loss. I can't get it in Mexico anymore, so I'm trying to get it from my doctor now. I seem to have plateaued and I can only get the initial pen from Mexico. Meaning, you know, the one that starts with a tiny amount and increases to the regular dosage. The maximum I took, I think, was 0.5 mg or I don't know how it's measured, but that was the most I took every week. The drug helped me with postmenopausal weight gain. After menopause, I couldn't believe the weight just appeared. Just like with this drug, it made it disappear itself. And it was great."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "8 months in and I lost 50 lb. 280 to 230 and I'm 6'2" male. Another 20 lb and I'll be done. This has changed my life. I've done diets before that must dominate your life in order to lose any weight, this drug just makes you eat less. The weight loss just happens in the background while you continue your life as usual. Some nausea at times, but the ends justify the means."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Starting the 2.4 mg this Friday. I have lost 31 pounds in 4 months. I never thought I would make it to this point, but I seemed to tolerate all the doses up to this point. I am 29 pounds away from my goal of 150, but I will be okay with 160. It was hard to believe this medication is working for me with minimal side effects. I do occasionally get an upset stomach and diarrhea, but a little Pepto-Bismol takes the upset stomach away. I do feel full after eating half a meal and remain full for long periods of time. I am excited that my clothes feel really loose now and I can fit things that I couldn't before or was too tight. This medication has changed my outlook on healthier eating and keeping the weight off."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Weight loss was very easy. In 4 months I have lost 35 lbs. I had to use stool softeners, one a day when I started having problems with constipation, and that took care of the problem. I have to pay $820.00 a month self-pay, and that was after the pharmacy having a $500.00 coupon to help lower the cost from $1300.00. My Medicare insurance will not cover it, nor will my Blue Cross Blue Shield supplement pay any on it because I am using it for a weight loss drug. I am on 170 mg at this time, and I am going to do one more month at 240 mg. I can’t afford to pay for it now, and I am just struggling to pay for it one more month. The doctor told me if I lost 50 pounds, it would really help me. I find it easy to use. I don’t have any problems slacking off on the food I eat."

"4kg lost in 8 weeks. Appetite decreased significantly, some nausea. Slowed overactive digestion, no stomach pain or indigestion anymore. IBS gone. Bloating gone, stomach gurgling again. Easier passing of flatulence. No more food noise, go to supermarket, head completely quiet. I now say no to everything. Choices now based on my knowledge of what’s good and healthy rather than what I crave. It stops other addictions, I have no desire to smoke or drink which I did socially now and then. My desire for sex has also reduced to more adequate levels. I have had dips into hypoglycemia, I’ve restored my glucose levels with Lucozade and instantly felt better. When I got to week 6-7 there was immense depression and fatigue. And if I wasn’t expecting or used to it, it would have been harrowing. But I coped and it’s passed due to past encounters. Ran out of words here, but so far it’s a wonder drug!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost 19 pounds in the first 4 weeks on 0.25 dosage. I have found that low-fat cottage cheese with some fruit is good around noon as a brunch, with a high-protein dinner and a small salad. I was 2 weeks in over Thanksgiving and was still able to enjoy most everything, but just in much smaller portions. Eating out, I order fish or chicken and ask for a box with the dinner and split it for leftovers. Absolutely no side effects - except for the first day each week after the shot, I find I burp after eating. Also, note: the effects start off very strong during the first part of the week and taper towards the end. I do find myself able to eat more on the last day before my next shot, but even still no major hunger pains. Eat high protein and low-fat, and drink lots of water. I weigh myself every morning and find I lose more on days I drink at least 50 or more ounces of water the previous day. My goal is to lose 40 pounds, and at this rate, I think it will only take me about 70 days. Best journey ever!"

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I am on 0.5mg dosage and will step up to 1mg next visit to my Endocrinologist. I do have a bit of nausea that will increase with the new dosage. It tends to wind down as I tolerate it. New side effects are egg-smelling burps every day at 2 am with a stomach ache. Very bad-smelling flatulence and bowel movements started this week. Hopefully will subside."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was started on Wegovy because my metabolism came to a crashing halt. No matter how healthy I ate, I kept gaining and retaining water weight. I was 478 pounds when I started in April 2023 and have lost 85 pounds in 7 months. My goal is another 100 pounds, but I've noticed that the weight loss slows down on certain weeks and increases other weeks. I've been on 2.4 mg for about 5 months and haven't experienced many of the side effects that have been known to occur. The worst was the upset stomach and the body cleansing itself the first couple of weeks. I am now wearing clothes that I have not been able to fit into for almost 4 years. Wegovy may not be for everyone, but it has been a game changer for me!"

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I started on Ozempic in April of 23, also with Weight Watchers. I lost fifty-eight pounds and feel the best I've felt in years. I started with the smallest dose of 0.5 mg. Now I'm at 2 mg a week. I have read the side effects that other people have had, and I have not had any of the side effects. Ozempic has taken away my cravings for sweets and pretty much anything else. Now I eat to survive, not to enjoy. At times, I have to make myself eat. However, Ozempic appears to have diminished my sex drive; that could be a side effect. As a man, that is slightly disappointing. That was a side effect that was never discussed. Other than that, everything is going perfectly well. Ozempic has proved to be fine for me."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost 65 pounds so far on Wegovy. Keep in mind, I combined taking this medication with a change in my diet. I do not eat refined sugar, flour or starchy vegetables. Because of Wegovy, for the first time in my life, I experience fullness in my stomach and want to stop eating. I never understood how people could stop eating after one helping or how a plate of cookies could go uneaten by normal people. I do now. Wegovy sends the signal to my brain telling me I've had enough to eat! Wow! I'm so happy now that I don't feel like a slave to food anymore. The feeling of fullness didn't occur until I went from the 0.25mg to the 0.5mg dosage. I experienced diarrhea at first (not too bad though). And now I find stools a little more hard to pass. I also sweat a lot when I'm exerting energy if my dosage is too high. So figure out the right dosage so you don't feel hypoglycemic. The 0.5mg dose for me seems to work the best without these side effects. But everyone is different."
