Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I was 63 yo female when I started ozempic. 5'2" 208# A1C of 7.2. History of stroke, cardiovascular disease hashimo, fibromyalgia, and list goes on. At the beginning I had some nausea but not terribly. Have been on it for 14 months and have lost 85#! From 208# to 125#. Average about 5#/month. When increased to 2.0 had some issues with constipation but worked through it. Now with normal bmi A1C is at 4.9 and steady. Continuing at 2.0 to maintain. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Following recent labs endocrinologist sent msg, "diabetes is in remission " woohoo! Good luck everyone!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Tuesday was the second shot. So far, no headaches, just upset stomach now and then. I really like that it takes all hunger away. Now I just focus on eating healthy and much less. I'm a 60-year-old man, started at 293 lbs. Tuesday, before the shot, I weighed 283. I feel better when I drink water, which I drink at least 10 bottles a day. Eat more fruit and veggies."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I take 2 mg per week for well over a year and have never had any side effects. I haven’t lost weight like I’ve read about other people. In this time period I might have lost 8-10 lbs. It has lowered my A1C to 6. In previous years 7.5 A1C was as low as it had been for years."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Well today I’ve taken my second needle. I think it’s working great. No side effects as of yet, feeling good, not eating much food. Bonus! I hope this works for me, just retired and put more weight on."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I call this a wonder drug. Dropped my A1C to 5.8, so far, and I barely have to worry about counting carbs or finger sticks. I didn’t check my BG levels once the last 6 months and ate pretty much what I wanted “within reason”. I still stay away from sugary drinks and limit my carb intake but other than that I feel back to “normal”. The only side effect I’ve experienced is the appetite suppression. Lost 40 lbs because of that side effect. I happily tell all my family and friends who are also type 2 all about my experiences. Some have also begun to take Ozempic as well. I can’t endorse this medication enough!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This is the first week at the 1mg dose, I lost 8 pounds last week. Before this, I was too scared to get on the scales, but I can feel I have lost significant weight. I have reduced appetite and cravings for sweet things that started almost immediately upon starting the drug. The only side effects I have had were, around week 3, constipation and trapped wind that caused waves of stomach pain for a few days. In the UK, you are supposed to be able to get this on the NHS if your BMI is over a certain level with associated health issues. However, no funding has been provided, so I am paying around £150-200 per month. This is offset by reduced food costs and alcohol costs that make it almost pay for itself."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Started with the 0.25 dose & after 5 weeks went to 0.50. Side effects were minimal, mostly just an upset stomach for the first day after a shot. Pens were easy to use & directions easy to follow. My A1c went from 10.3 to 6.2 after 90 days & I lost 22 lbs. I made significant dietary changes, which were helped because overeating gave me that 'too full to move' feeling you get on Thanksgiving, even with small portions. I eat 4-5 times a day but in small portions & calories under 1200 daily. Constipation was avoided by an increase in fiber/vegetables and water."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Ozempic is a godsend! It lowered my sugar considerably, to the point that I had to lower my Trulicity. I have lost weight, about 15 lbs. But the biggest thing is, I am an alcoholic and have cirrhosis, but was still drinking my two glasses of wine every night. After being on this wonder drug for 6 months I suddenly had no craving for alcohol! A miracle! Thanks to all who made this possible!"

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "It worked great for my Type II to control my A1C. We are working right now to determine if my severe leg/muscle pain is being caused by the drug. I have now skipped two doses, and the pain seems to be getting less severe. I will continue to skip using Ozempic for a couple more weeks to confirm what I believe to be the cause of my pain."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I have been using Ozempic when available for 9 months. The only side effect is a reduction of 27 kgs and blood work to 5 mmol/L, which is normal. I am happy with the results. No metformin or other diabetic drugs now. I have been using 0.25 at a maximum."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Personally, I would recommend Wegovy to anyone struggling with weight loss. I'm 6 months in, a 41-year-old man. My starting weight was 14 stone 9.5 lb, and I'm currently 13 stone 2.5 lb. I'll start with the negatives: 1. Cost - this is very expensive, especially at the top dose, which is what you'll likely stay on for the longest. 2. Side effects - everyone is different, for me, it was indigestion and occasional nausea, but it's been perfectly manageable and worth it considering the benefits of the weight loss. The positives: I rarely feel hungry, I often have to force myself to eat. My portion sizes are much smaller, and I no longer go for sweet treats before bed. I haven't altered my diet at all, I still eat unhealthy food when I want, just less of it, and less frequently, so I don't struggle with cravings for foods that I'm not allowed."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Loved it. Lost enough weight to have both knees replaced. Now off several medications and reduced metformin. However, new insurance carrier will no longer cover this, so having to switch to Trulicity."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Best thing going so far. This is a lifesaver. They always start with Metformin. I thought I was going to die. Sick every day after taking it. Ozempic is a real lifesaver, controls the blood sugar better and no more curling up on the couch sick every day."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It’s just been a week and I’m at a low (received starting) dose, but I’m surprised at how well it’s going. I feel full after eating less. I also don’t really have any preference for a certain food. So I was actually at a buffet situation and the higher calorie food didn’t look or smell better than the fruit and veggies. It was a little weird, but I grabbed a salad and made sure to put some chicken and blue cheese on it. I really like fruit smoothies with yogurt in the morning. A few times this week I just had a snack for lunch. I’ve lost 5 pounds. Mood has been fine. I’ve been a little spaced out/sleepy but nothing concerning. Week 2 starts tomorrow. Feeling hopeful and am glad I gave semaglutide a try."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy on 1/31/2023 at 224 lbs. As of today, 5/2/2024, I am at 154 lbs. I have had minimal side effects. I do not have cravings and no longer do I think about what I am going to eat next. I work out 3-4 days a week but did that prior to starting Wegovy. On 0.25, I lost 6 lbs. On 0.5, I lost 3 lbs. In the first 4 weeks of 1.0, I lost 6 lbs. In the second 4 weeks, I lost 3 lbs. In my first 4 weeks of 1.7, I lost 7 lbs and in my second 4 weeks, I lost 2 lbs. I started 2.4 on 7/17/2023, and on that, I have lost 39 lbs. Some weeks the weight loss was larger than others, but there was always weight loss. I have no complaints and would recommend anyone to speak to their doctor if they are interested. We are all different, and for some people, it works and for some, it does not. Some people have terrible side effects, and some don't."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 44 years old and I've been on Semaglutide since January 2024 and was weighing in at 216 lbs. It is now May 2nd, 2024, and I have to say it works. I lost 40 lbs, weighing 176. I was wearing size 15/16 pants and now I wear size 8. I was skeptical about it, but I took a chance and it was one of my best decisions ever. My blood pressure is under control, I sleep better, and I am more active. The key to losing weight fast is healthy eating (no sweets, no soda, especially), lots of water, and exercise."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy 11 weeks ago (just had my last dose of 1mg pen) and have lost 9 lbs. I felt at first it didn’t do much but gradually by upping the dose felt my cravings and want for fatty foods has hugely decreased. The “food noise” was very real to me, now I never finish a meal and just don’t have the interest in food like I previously did. It’s much more convenient being a weekly injection and as someone who hates needles, it really is nothing to worry about. In terms of side effects, from week two I have suffered from sulphur burps (disgusting eggy smell) and excessive gas/belching. The day after my injection, I feel fatigued, so changed my injection day so it landed on a weekend, so I wasn’t at work and this worked well. I only feel sick if I overeat and at the start had some cramps on and off which have totally disappeared now. One week off upping to 1.7mg and other than sulphur burps, it really is amazing; the key I believe is patience, the side effects are worth it."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for about 8 months. My weight has dropped about 40 lbs. In the beginning, I did have upset stomach on occasion and found there are a few things I could not eat or drink anymore, but my blood pressure is a lot better. I feel good about myself. I don't need to lose any more weight. I am walking a mile a day, using my weights every morning, and I don't drink much alcohol anymore, not that I am saying I was an over drinker, but because of the calories and some of it doesn't taste good anymore. It has helped me eat better, rethink about how much I eat, and be healthier. My old clothes that didn't fit are now fitting, and I have a whole new wardrobe to go through."
