For Bacterial Vaginosis "Yes-definitely tasted gross, but well worth it for the fast-acting treatment. I sprinkled it over applesauce and was surprised by how much was in such a little packet. It was hard to resist the urge to chew, especially with the applesauce, so I washed it down with water. I ate as fast as I could and probably finished the treatment within 30 seconds. Twenty-four hours later, and the majority of my symptoms have been relieved. I've had BV several times before, and it always presents itself with unbearable itching (my worst symptom), which sometimes is not relieved with other treatments. The itching relieved itself within a few hours and no sign of it the next day. My only complaint is that I had a slight stomach ache yesterday and a metallic taste in my mouth since taking it 24 hours ago. Hoping this relieves itself in a few days, but I would still rather have the mild metallic taste in comparison to the itching. Otherwise, HIGHLY RECOMMEND for fast relief. Who cares about not being able to drink!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I have read many of these reviews and wonder if the people without these experiences just don't report it. I thought there was no taste to the medicine, just have to fight the urge to chew. A couple sips of water to rinse the rest out of my teeth was all that was needed. No metallic taste, nausea, fatigue, or any of the other side effects mentioned. I will, however, not chance the alcohol. This is the 2nd time I've used Solosec and have had good results. Also, only a $10 copay at the pharmacy my doctor recommended."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Very bitter taste to it, took it with yogurt and had to swallow it down. Woke up with a metallic taste in my mouth. Made everything taste off, had a headache each day for 4 days, bloated, and nauseated. On day 3, I had 2 Coronas and we BBQ'd some hamburgers for dinner. 2 hours later, I was projectile vomiting my dinner. I felt better once I had vomited, but I was down the rest of the night. I thought maybe it was bad beef, but no one in my family got sick. I felt pregnant (which I'm not) or flu-like symptoms. I would not take this again as there are other Rx out there that can help with BV. Yes, the BV is gone, but feeling sick for 4-5 days was too much for me."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I made the mistake and read up on the reviews before taking this medication and was immediately scared about taking it. Up until I took it, I was panicking and super anxious because of how bad all the reviews were in regard to the taste. Let me tell you, I don't know what you guys are talking about, but I legit did not taste a thing! I ended up buying some yogurt land and decided to sprinkle in the granules in there. I did swallow each scoop as fast as I could to avoid any taste, but even then I get a little bit of a metallic taste from it, but nothing like the reviews. I literally just took the medication about 30 minutes ago, so I can’t say anything about if it actually worked or not. I just wanted to comment on the taste and hopefully put some of you guys at ease... super hopeful that this will work!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I made the mistake of reading reviews AFTER I had already consumed the medication and was super worried about side effects. I, fortunately, had very few. The medicine does not taste nearly as awful as some of these reviews portray. It doesn't taste great (it's bitter like crushed aspirin or Tylenol), and I wouldn't eat it on its own, but it's totally manageable in yogurt. I had a metallic taste in my mouth and experienced a bit of nausea and was aware of my stomach for the first 12 hours or so, but it wasn't horrible and I was fine when I woke up the next morning. I've not tried to drink alcohol and probably will not based on some of the other reviews. But this definitely was easier than messy creams or remembering to take a pill 2x a day for a week."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I took this medication yesterday. It was horrible. I mixed it with pudding and tried the first spoon and was almost gagging just trying to swallow it. I ended up drawing up the rest in a 20 ml oral syringe and took it like that. It was much easier to tolerate that way. I felt a little nauseated, but I was okay, so I thought. By the end of the night, I had a very metallic taste. I went to work today, I felt okay. Then, around 10 a.m., I developed a severe headache, nausea, bloated, and dizzy. I had so much indigestion, it was horrible. I ended up leaving work early because I felt so sick. I came home, took Pepto and Nexium, and fell asleep. I just woke up, I feel a little better, still bloated, metallic taste, and a very sour stomach. I feel like BV is slightly improved already, but it’s the burning in my stomach and taste that I can’t get over. FYI, I’m not a complainer. I have been through a lot of health problems and have taken a lot of medications, but this is honestly the worst medication I have ever taken."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Used to treat BV. To start, I'm allergic/have reactions to Flagyl, which is the same class of medication. I tried the gel inserts, same class as well. I used 1 dose (literally 5 mins after inserting) and had the same reactions. So I was sent this, same class... now I'm terrified to take it. I figured 1 day is better than 4 more of the gel. I bit the bullet. I put it in 1 container of chocolate pudding, mixed, fist bite... gross. So I mixed again, scooped, swallowed, gone in maybe 4 scoops. Just don't breathe through your nose. Have water on standby to rinse and swallow. Easy, done. That was last night. Immediately, I lay down for bed for fear of the reactions starting. I fell asleep, no notice of any issues. Thank you, God. Waking up this morning, I feel a little groggy or off-kilter? Nothing that stops me from going about my day. A slight metallic taste in the back of my tongue through the day. I don't drink, so no issues. No nausea. Maybe a slight headache. But that's a normal day for me."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was prescribed Solosec for bacterial vaginitis. Very, very nasty taste, could barely get it down with my applesauce, but I did not want to waste the medicine as it was VERY expensive. Gross metallic taste. It has only been 3 hours since taking it, so hopefully I have no side effects."
