For Performance Anxiety "I started getting panic attacks when I was 12. Every time I had to present something to my class, it felt like I was having a heart attack and my hands and voice would shake uncontrollably. I couldn't get through the presentations most of the time, and the kids would make fun of me. It was dreadful. Finally, when I was 14, I saw the doctor who prescribed this. It was a life-changer. There was a speech I had to give as an 8th-grade project, and while I was up at the podium, I could actually organize all my thoughts. No shaking. No heart palpitations. No sweaty hands. I could have stayed up there for hours! I even remember thinking, 'this stuff really works!' I'm 23 now and started taking it for work-related situations."

For Performance Anxiety "Was very anxious and became depressed after my father was diagnosed terminally ill. I started a new job which didn't help with the stress. Was having often panic attacks. Now I feel amazing. I now have my life back. Without this I think I would have had to be hospitalized. Thank goodness. Life is good again."

For Migraine Prevention "I have been on APO-Propranolol for almost 2 months. I haven't had a migraine for 37 days! That is incredible. I have barely even had a headache. Just had a very mild headache on the weekend - took some aspirin and it was gone in minutes! It's such a relief. However, I have gained about 10 kilos. I'm exhausted all the time. Can't sleep properly anymore (I used to be a deep sleeper). My heart feels fluttery and I actually feel anxious and a little depressed. I have always been an upbeat, highly motivated happy person. I'm torn because the medicine is working to keep the migraines away, which is fantastic, but I feel fat and in a low, sad mood. Not sure what to do - whether to stay on them or not?"

For Anxiety "I have had anxiety problems my WHOLE life. I would try to manage as best I could, but after being diagnosed with a chronic pain condition in my late teens, things just got out of control. Whenever I would have a flare-up, I would truly believe I was dying in that very moment, even though I clearly wasn't. One time, my panic attack was so bad my blood pressure was 156/90 and my heart rate was 113!! I am in my 20s and do not have heart problems. Propranolol 20 mg has truly saved me in those moments where I felt out of control. When things got bad, I would take one 20 mg tablet with a full glass of water and just try to breathe. Within 1 hour, the panic attack would always be 100% gone. It has absolutely allowed me to physically calm down and thus mentally calm down as well. It's awesome knowing I have something considered non-addictive that can save my sanity in such terrible moments. I wish you all the best luck on your journey."

For Migraine Prevention "I have suffered from migraines for years! Aura, vertigo, confusion, I mean you name it. It would last for days sometimes. I've been to the hospital several times with debilitating migraines, I've had every test under the sun. BUT here's the kicker, I also suffer from anxiety and panic, and for years, I was terrified to try new medications. The only thing that would remotely help was naritriptan but that's obviously not good to continue taking. So I finally, after being suggested on multiple occasions, decided to try propranolol. Because I was so scared, I just started by taking 5 mg and for the first time in my entire life, I have been over 10 days without head pain. I'm still in shock. I literally cannot believe it. If you are someone who is scared to take medication like me, please give this medication a try because it has been life-changing for me. I rarely ever write reviews but I felt it was so important to share this because all of your reviews have helped me so so much."

For Performance Anxiety "Okay... wow... just wow. I have been struggling with social anxiety my whole life: blushing, trembling, not good in groups, shaky voice, and hands. Because of some bad experiences, I have a major fear of having these symptoms and making a complete idiot of myself. I now take 10-15 mg an hour before the social event and all the symptoms are gone! I felt such relief after this. There is hope! No more lying awake for days because a social event comes up. It doesn't help with the anxiety itself, but propranolol keeps your body relaxed so your head stays relaxed too. Wish I knew about this 25 years ago. This is actually saving my career at this point..."

Inderal (propranolol) for Performance Anxiety "This drug is a miracle! Imagine every time you're about to present in front of people - the panic creeping in, heart racing, visible trembling almost to the point of convulsion with a lump in your throat and cracking voice. Imagine what everyone's thinking as you choke trying to spit out words on a piece of paper, who knew reading could be so difficult. Think about the embarrassment and how incompetent you feel when in reality you actually exude confidence. Why is my body attacking me? Why is it impossible to simply read off a piece of paper and not turn into a shaking wreck. This was me...and I had tried many therapies I read online before, trust me. Long story short...I was cured first dose of Inderal and never looked back. I hope others find relief."

For Anxiety "This drug is an amazing drug for anxiety. I've been on it for about two weeks and I feel so much better. I cannot take an SSRI or SNRI for anxiety because the side effects are too bad. This drug keeps my body from reacting to stressful situations. For years, probably 30 years, I have had physical problems because of this stress: irritable bowel and many other physical problems. I have a very stressful job, and it was getting so bad I didn't want to go to work. Now I don't react physically to stress, and I am feeling like I did as a younger person. This drug has so few side effects, and it's been around for a long time. I wish I would've tried this years ago."

For Anxiety "I am a full-time nursing student with PTSD. I have terrible test anxiety and am always in a state of fight or flight. I learned to deal with my PTSD but the high anxiety of exams sent me straight back to an anxiety attack. My doctor prescribed 10mg of propranolol, and it didn't help. Before I wrote it off, I took my doctor's advice and moved up to 20mg. It was amazing. Guys, I can't tell you how nice it is. Sometimes I feel like I can't breathe, like the world is crumbling, and I am unable to move. This also helps me with the nightmares. I used to have dreams where I was in danger and my feet were stuck to the ground, and I had no voice, so I couldn't run or scream. It was terrible. I am thankful for the tools the Lord uses!"

For Performance Anxiety "This drug saved my life. I am 40+ PhD senior manager in a major company and I have had speaking anxiety with big crowds that goes way beyond normal nerves. I have tried every type of therapy and public speaking training. 18 months ago I gave a review to 70 people that went so badly (I will spare details) and left me so full of shame. I went home and considered ending my life as I could see no way out or ability to face my wife and beautiful children. I saw a doctor who gave me propranolol and now I am a flawless speaker who is referred to as one of the strongest speakers in the company! Preparation and knowledge are 100% critical, but this drug removes clinical, crippling inhibitions and lets me show who I really am. Life-saving!"

For Migraine Prevention "Went from getting migraines 3 times weekly (lasting 12 hrs), to less than 3 times yearly on the propranolol and I experienced zero side effects that I am aware of. Extremely life-changing as it pretty much alleviated this debilitating condition completely. Would recommend propranolol for Migraines"

For Anxiety "Propranolol is excellent for dampening down anxiety (actually eliminated mine). In a past life, I used alcohol to attempt to deal with anxiety. I was put on propranolol for a liver disease issue, but it had the unexpected benefit of getting rid of the anxiety I was feeling altogether. I take 10 mg in the morning and 10 mg at night. It helps with sleep too. I owe so much to this medication."

For Performance Anxiety "My entire life, I have had a fear of public speaking that is so intense I would literally shut down and stop talking in the middle of a presentation. My heart feels like it is going to jump out of my chest, my mind goes completely blank, I turn red-faced, and my body and voice begin to tremble uncontrollably. I failed college courses, changed jobs, and altered my entire life just to avoid speaking in public. It was such a difficult and embarrassing problem that filled me with so much shame. One day, a friend told me about propranolol and so I went to the Doctor. The Doc prescribed and I can now present like a professional with zero anxiety. Simply put, this medicine changed my entire life and I would recommend it to anyone with anxiety."

For Anxiety "After 7 years on various SSRIs and many other tried and tested medicines, I finally stumbled across propranolol. A truly life-changing medicine for my anxiety disorder. I always presented with high blood pressure, and my belief is that hypertension is an underlying cause of crippling anxiety. If it isn't, then it is most certainly involved in the anxiety circle: more hypertension, more anxiety, more hypertension, etc. Anyway, this is the best medication I have ever taken... my mind and body seem to be healing in a way I can only describe as miraculous! Please bear with this medication, although it does work immediately, I'd say it takes around 6 weeks to fully bed in."

For Panic Disorder "Been taking propranolol for around 3 years. It has worked wonders for my panic disorder. I take it every morning at 10 am at 40 mg. As soon as I've taken it, I feel calmer and my anxiety and racing thoughts go away. I can control my anxiety attacks a lot better; it takes away the racing heart rate associated with panic attacks. There are some common side effects of this medication; these are drowsiness, a slow heart rate, and mild dizziness when you stand up, but apart from that, it has been very effective at dealing with my panic attacks. I highly recommend it to people with anxiety issues or fears of going in for a job interview or on an airplane. It works really well for these things."

For Performance Anxiety "This drug has saved my life and career. I was bullied a lot in school and experienced severe trauma with presenting in school, which followed on to uni, work, and life. At one stage in my life, I avoided presenting for years, calling in sick at work or doing all other parts of uni assignments instead of presenting. But you reach a point where you understand that presenting is the only thing holding you back. Long story short, I discovered this drug last year through Google (lol) and it's honestly been a lifesaver... reading other comments, I seem to take a higher dosage than others. 20 mg 90 mins before presenting, 40 mg 60 mins before, and anywhere from 20-40 mg 30 mins before. I sometimes experience a bad night's sleep on the days I do take Propranolol and sometimes feel a bit fatigued 3-4 hours into the drug (but that could be because of my higher dosage). I hope to one day take less and less of the drug to alleviate some of the side effects, but for now, I'm happy with everything."

For Performance Anxiety "Anxiety ruling my life, scared to go to work, on my days off not wanting to go anywhere. I spoke to the doctor and he prescribed me Propranolol. Almost immediately I felt different, the shaking stopped. I felt different, more calm. It's early days, but is this the answer to all my prayers? We will see."

For Benign Essential Tremor "This is a miracle for my essential tremor. It effectively mitigates the tremors in all parts of the body. It used to be debilitating to face stressful situations at work or socially, as my 'shakes' would rear their ugly head in my voice and in any movement. Afterwards, the nervousness is still there, but the tremor is gone. 40mg 2x daily."

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention "Started getting severe migraines regularly at about age 27. By 35, it was debilitating, and I would not have been able to hold down a job. Several bad migraines each month. Imitrex would help, and I could function if I caught it early enough, but sometimes would wake up with them. Tried a lot of things, and finally at about age 45, started on Inderal. Changed my life, and now practically never get them, although I do think that menopause might have helped as it did for my mother. Highly recommend this drug and just wish I had started on it earlier. My kids would have had a more fun and reliable Mom."

Inderal (propranolol) for Benign Essential Tremor "My tremors were getting worse and worse so I went to my doctor. She thought I had Parkinson's and referred me to a neurologist. The appointment came through about 4 months later. The neurologist diagnosed essential tremor and prescribed half Inderal 80g once a day. After taking the meds, I felt so much better. I still get the shakes, but nowhere near as bad. My muscles are stiff though, and it's causing me problems walking far, and my neck and shoulders hurt too. I'll have to ask whether Inderal is the cause at my next appointment. All in all, it's been great. I especially notice the difference when cooking or eating a meal or drinking from a glass. I don't spill as much now, and it's less embarrassing when in a restaurant."

For Anxiety "I have suffered from anxiety and SEVERE blushing of the face & neck/chest for decades. I thought it was a lifelong curse, and that I just had to look like a complete fool whenever I was in public speaking situations, interviews, stressful interactions, etc. It was horrible! I FINALLY stumbled upon a forum about propranolol for anxiety & blushing. I would try anything at this point, and so thankful I did. It is literally the only thing that has EVER worked for me. 40mg propranolol immediate release tablets 2x per day (AM & PM) and I am a new person, there is occasional blushing and it's not a 100% cure-all, but NOTHING like the bright red tomato/hive look that I used to have when anxious. It has been a life-changer for me, especially since my job requires public speaking. I've gained about 5 pounds, and also have to sometimes monitor my heart rate to make sure it's not too low, which isn't ideal, but I will take that over the awful circumstances I had to deal with for years!!! Highly recommend!"

For Panic Disorder "I have had panic disorder my entire life, and racing heart never used to be one of my symptoms. About 23 years ago, when my mom was in the hospital, I had a horrible tachycardia attack with my heart racing over 240 bpm. I was in the hospital visiting my mom at the time, and they wrote it off as anxiety related. I have had benign tachycardia as a symptom ever since. When I'm anxious, my heart races and I cannot do anything. Getting on propranolol was the number one best thing I have done. I am also on a very low dose of Xanax (two to three quarter mg's per day). I take three to four 10 mg tablets of propranolol, more as needed. If I have something difficult to do or have to drive far, I need more. But if my heart isn't racing, then I feel more comfortable doing things. If I didn't have it, I would be completely housebound agoraphobic like I was when I was 18."

For Anxiety "I just started taking Propranolol 20 mg three times a day for fast heart rate due to anxiety. Day one I took 2 pills and felt a little dizzy and had diarrhea. Day 2 I took one pill in the morning and felt the same way and it gave me diarrhea. Day 3 I decided to stop the propranolol and didn’t take any more. This medicine has some serious side effects. Right, now I’m feeling so dizzy and maybe its a withdraw I’m not sure, but there’s no way I’ll take anymore. I check my blood pressure it was a little low so I ate a can of soup to bring it back up some hoping it would stop some of the dizziness but that wasn’t the case. The reviews say it takes about two days to clear your system but the side effects can last up to one week. Today, is the first day without it, and these side effects are no joke. Not to mention my head feels so heavy and burning feeling and my eyesight is blurry. Be cautious and do your research before taking this medicine. I don’t recommend it."
