For Influenza "I started taking it on day 2 after the doctor prescribed. Although I gained some strength back, the tremendous headache, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea were horrible. The worst part was insomnia, I could barely sleep, only slept 2-3 hours at most each time, body still aching."

For Influenza "The only symptom I had not had from the flu was vomiting. I brought the Tamiflu home and took a pill. Within an hour, I was feeling very nauseated. I tried my best to ignore it and keep my stomach down, but within another hour, I was in the bathroom vomiting horribly. It continued the entire night. Now, the next morning, I still cannot hold down anything. $100 down the drain, can't even take it."

For Influenza "I got more sick taking the generic version of Tamiflu. Awful! Migraine headaches, stomach cramps, vomiting. I felt no improvement until a friend of mine brought Black Elderberry cold and flu relief for flu symptoms. I called the doctor and the pharmacist, letting them know this product should not be marketed. Shame on them! Where is the caring of human health? My ER visit and pharmacy cost close to $300."

For Influenza "I went to the doctor because I was having chills, high fever, and muscle pain. They tested me and said I got the flu. They prescribed me Tamiflu, but before I left the doctor's, they gave me 600 mg of Motrin, which immediately resolved my fever and muscle pain. Later, when I got home, I took Tamiflu, and the next 2 days I had extreme abdominal cramps. On a scale of 1-10, the pain was a 10, and this was continuous the entire day. I would constantly wake up in the middle of the night due to my abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting. I have never felt a worse pain in my life until I took Tamiflu. I was way better off without it, the medication was expensive as well."

For Influenza "I will never ever take Tamiflu again! After the first dose, I had stomach cramps and diarrhea. But after the third dose, I’ve been so dizzy I can’t even close my eyes, nauseous, can’t sleep. I took it at 8:30 PM. It’s currently 2:30 AM, and now vomiting. Had I known any of this prior, I would’ve never even started taking it, and I will not continue to take it either!"

For Influenza "I started feeling the symptoms on Monday mid-afternoon. Got a prescription for Tamiflu and took it by noon Tuesday, and by Tuesday evening I felt much better. Didn’t think it would work that fast. No vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea. Although the doctor told me ibuprofen and Tylenol for headaches and fever, so I’ve been taking that with it to help."

For Influenza "I just got diagnosed with the flu yesterday, but have had the symptoms since Wednesday night. I got prescribed Tamiflu, and it made me feel 150 times worse. I took one dose yesterday, couldn’t eat or sleep. Every time I ate, I threw up all of my food. Couldn’t risk throwing up the medication. I woke up today, and I felt so much better. I ate, took an Advil, and took Tamiflu, and now I feel bad again. Every time I take it, it makes me feel awful. I just wanted to be able to eat some real food besides popsicles. I am miserable."

For Influenza "After 3 days of coughing, I finally started running a fever and went to the doctor. I was diagnosed with flu type B. Tamiflu was prescribed for twice a day. Two hours after taking the first dose, I noticed that I was extremely irritable and began vomiting. I won’t be taking any more. My sister had a similar experience. Unfortunately, I don’t know how effective the drug is. It works well for my mother, who didn’t experience nausea. Be aware of the side effects. For me, I would rather have flu symptoms than have nausea and vomiting."

For Influenza "I began Tamiflu on my second day of fever. Vomiting/nauseous within an hour of taking it. Keep at it for 3 more doses then this morning didn't take any. I'll consider the vaccine next year! Other products you can return for a refund if dissatisfied. Wonder how that would go over?"

For Influenza "Symptoms before Tamiflu - body ache, earache, persistent fever, coughing - feels burns inside and it hurts, vomiting while coughing, head pounding. Took only two doses so far and I stopped. I got insomnia - I could not sleep - I need sleep to rest. I would lie in bed and be unable to sleep. Also, I got nauseous, not for the whole day though. The medication is excellent in response to the flu!!!! My fever broke down after four hours. The coughing stopped except for the stuffy nose. It stopped the earache and body aches! Besides that, I drank lots of teas or water. I ate a bit."

For Influenza "I have taken this medicine twice. The first time I took it within the 48-hour period, and my symptoms were gone within 3 days and made a full recovery over a 6-day period. Now, as I write this, it is a different experience. My flu symptoms started two days ago with body ache, chills, headache, throat ache, and vomiting. I started Tamiflu later that day. My body ache and chills have gone away, but I have been throwing up more and feel so lightheaded. I have been drinking tons of fluids and Pedialyte. These meds are extremely powerful, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm petite, but my doctor told me to discontinue these meds (day 2 now), and I feel very uneasy on them. Godspeed if you try them!"

For Influenza "Fever, chills, nausea, pounding migraine. Friday, took a dose Friday night, Saturday morning, and by Saturday night was feeling better. I was skeptical about the drug and scared of vomiting/nausea/diarrhea side effects but glad that I decided to try it. To those who get nauseous taking it, take it with a piece of bread and ginger ale. LITERALLY with a piece of plain bread (I had Hawaiian sliced) and ginger ale. DO NOT eat a heavy meal. The RX says, 'Take it with a meal or a piece of bread.' Nope, do not eat a meal, you will get nauseous. I do want to add that those who are more nauseous than others probably have more mucus in their stomach. Just my opinion. I was taking Mucinex at the same time, so it helped with being nauseous from mucus greatly."

For Influenza "Both my husband and I were diagnosed with influenza A and prescribed generic Tamiflu. I experienced severe vomiting about 60 minutes after taking each dose. Vomiting is the most frequent side effect listed in the insert. Not sure if the few doses I took did anything at all, except for completely clearing out my stomach. My husband did not tolerate the medicine well either, although he did not have the vomiting that I experienced."

For Influenza "For the people who are worried about taking Tamiflu because of vomiting or worse symptoms, there is no need. I was worried about vomiting when my doctor prescribed it to me. To lessen the chance or basically exterminate the chance of vomiting, have a snack or a meal, and you won't feel a thing. It will feel like you're taking a regular medicine."

For Influenza "I was diagnosed Thursday with Flu B. The symptoms started the night before. The Dr. said I would be 150% better 24 hours later. It is now Sunday, and while I have managed to keep everything dosage in, it has been a struggle! I did have a flu shot, so between the shot and the Tamiflu, I thought I would be better off. I have not left my bed except to go to the bathroom, as moving my head makes me feel like I have to vomit. I am not sure if I could say this nausea and dizziness is from the flu or Tamiflu, but I am afraid at this point it may be making me more sick than I would be otherwise."

For Influenza "I tested positive for flu on my second day of being sick. The doctor told me I must eat something before taking Tamiflu or I could possibly have violent vomiting. Even though I was very dehydrated and nauseous already, I managed to eat a few saltines with ice chips. The only issue I had was strange dreams. By the second day of taking Tamiflu, I felt 80% better. Highly recommend, but difficult to get unless you test positive."

For Influenza "Currently 27 weeks pregnant, and I’ve contracted the flu, so the doctor gave me Tamiflu to take twice a day for 5 days. Took one last night and started vomiting and sweating uncontrollably, that I had to be taken to the hospital to check on myself and the baby. We’re both fine, but Tamiflu is way too strong for me to take, I’d rather take paracetamol and rest. Wouldn’t recommend."

For Influenza "I'm no health guru by any means, however, I caught my flu symptoms early on, at day one, and tried to avoid going to the doctor. By day two, I had been vomiting and experienced a hellish fever. I went to the doctor and was prescribed Tamiflu. The dosing stated I take two pills per day for five days. I pretty much Googled home health remedies for the flu, and it all worked out along with Tamiflu. I took one pill in the morning after eating (at least 10 min later), kept myself well hydrated with water, orange juice, and ginger ale. I also made sure my protein intake was at least 16 grams. I took the second pill in the late evening after eating dinner and drinking a full glass of water. So here I am on night three with the flu, and I feel great! I can breathe!"

For Influenza "Within hours of taking Tamiflu, I was hospitalized because I could not breathe from throwing up so much. My nose was stopped up from the flu, and throwing up blocked my airway. Honestly, paying this much money for a medication that made my life worse was not worth it. I would never recommend this medication to anyone. Yes, the flu is terrible, but with this, it was worse. At one point while vomiting, my eyes were so glazed over that I almost passed out because I was so weak. My husband was terrified for me, and I honestly felt like I was having an out-of-body experience. Worst mistake ever."

For Influenza "Came down with the flu and felt like I was dying. My niece told me she took Tamiflu and felt better. I went to the urgent care facility near me where I tested positive for the flu and was prescribed Tamiflu. It wasn't long after taking the first pill that my symptoms seemed to subside. I did feel nausea after the first dose, but those side effects disappeared with subsequent doses, as did most of my flu symptoms. I stopped vomiting, didn't feel achy, didn't have chills, and was able to get back to work and function normally. Tamiflu is a miracle drug!"

For Influenza "I think it is fair to say that the purpose of this drug is to alleviate the symptoms of the flu, and it does a great job of that. But at what cost? I am in the high-risk group, and I had to come to a decision. Almost immediately, this medication had me vomiting with a complete loss of bladder control for the 34 hours that I was taking it. At the time, I thought that I was just that sick, although in all of my 54 years, I had never experienced this. The headache was massive, and I was unable to sleep longer than 2 hours at a time, but the fever was gone, and the coughing decreased. I decided to stop the medication, and 24 hours later, I have my bladder control back, and the headache is gone. I'm still unable to tolerate anything but water, and a bad fit of coughing will still have me vomiting. Unless your life depended on it, I would stay away from Tamiflu."

For Influenza "I got diagnosed with the flu and was prescribed Tamiflu. I took it and my flu symptoms went away, but I vomited twice about 2 hours later. After that, I had the worst diarrhea I’ve ever had. It felt like, since there wasn’t much to expel from my body, stomach fluids were just pouring out of me along with sharp, barely digested bits of food. It was so bad my anus started bleeding. The pain was so bad I could barely walk. Don’t know if it’s worth it."

For Influenza "I was prescribed Tamiflu earlier today, and I took it. I had started displaying symptoms of the flu about 36 hours before I visited the doctor, and she recommended Tamiflu. I had high hopes it would relieve me of the illness sooner, but I can't take this. About an hour or so after I took one capsule, I began vomiting 2 to 3 times an hour. The nausea is still bothering me, and it's been five hours."

For Influenza "I was prescribed Tamiflu in the morning on a Tuesday. Took before noon. This made me feel much worse. Vomiting, nausea, and headaches. Took four pills total, and after taking Tamiflu, each time made me feel terrible. I had to stop."

For Influenza "Woke up at 1 AM with chills. Later in the day, fever was spiking to 104, even with Advil, so decided to go to Urgent Care. Doc was nice but tried to persuade me not to take Tamiflu due to side effects and minimal benefits. I took the prescription but was undecided about using it. Anyway, after paying $161, I thought I would give it a shot. Took first dose at 7:45 PM, about 19 hours after the onset of symptoms. Vomited after 45 minutes and then again after another hour. I was really regretting taking it. Then woke up at 2 AM to find that I had no fever and no muscle ache! I feel 80% better already, just 7 hours after the first dose. Hard to believe how fast this thing worked. I will try the next dose with a meal and hope that helps reduce vomiting."
