Systane (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "Have been using SYSTANE on & off for a few weeks and have experienced severe redness, swelling & itching around my eyes. Couldn't figure out at first what was causing, so narrowed it down to this product, and made note WHEN I used it. Sure enough, SYSTANE seemed to be the cause. While using this eye gel and naturally blinking after it is placed in eyes, some gel gets onto the surrounding skin around the eyes, and it has caused the redness, itching & swelling. So, be aware of this side effect."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I have gotten broken blood vessel in my eyes two or three times. I was wondering if it was from the systane drops. I just started using them recently as my eyes were dry. Has anyone else had this side affect."

Refresh Optive Mega-3 (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Two weeks after eye surgery (cataract)I went in to see my eye doctor. My vision was great. He said my eye looked wonderful and was now completely healed. I was delighted! Then he gave me these Refresh Optive Mega-3 eyedrops to use. I told him I finished the other eye drops and didn't want anymore due to the filmy cloudless they caused but he insisted I use them. So I go home and put one drop into my eye and oh, was that a HUGE MISTAKE. My eye turned red, swelled up, and it felt like someone had punched me in the eye. Watering, burning and PAIN! I returned to his office and he told me to go home and hold an ice bag on my eye for 15 minutes at a time. It's been six hours and still no relief. BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT!"

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Use it to clear my dry eyes and thought it's doing good. But no...I am experiencing blurred vision now. Reading all the reviews I have proven it is from the use of this systane balance eye drop. So sad...instead of helping my eyes it made it worst."

Refresh Tears (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "My eyes occasionally become dry. I have used many brands of eye drops over the years. I recently purchased Refresh Tears Lubricant Eye Drops (because of good price). As soon as I put a drop in each eye, my eyes immediately became very red and painfully sore. I have never had such an effect with other brands of eyedrops, including Equate."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I recently went in for an eye exam and was told my eyes were dry. Optometrist told me to start using systane ultra a few times a day. In the first 4 days of use I've noticed my vision blurred and my contacts bothering me substantially. I've been using the same brand contacts for years and nothing else has changed, so it has to be the drops."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "I have used Systane for about 9 weeks and have been experiencing severe swelling and irritation of my eyelids, including splitting of the skin and drying out of the sore areas. Have narrowed down the cause as Systane, and not blepharitis."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Two years after an "outbreak" of dry eye had come and gone I went to the eye Dr. inquiring about lasek and long story short, she told me I should start and continue using eye drops because my dry eye could flare up again and etc etc For whatever reason I listened to this stupid advice and started using Systane even though I would normally think "why tx it if it's not even a problem. Well, the first day of using Systane, my dry eye symptoms all came back and I've been dealing full blown dry eye, tearing like crazy, raw in the corner of my eye, and eye lashes falling out from constant moisture and itching all night. THANKS DOC.! and Systane."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "My optometrist suggested I use Systane Ultra in the evening try ease my mild dry eye issues. She suggested that we do not produce tears while sleeping and these were more long lasting than the usual eye drops used for dry eyes. I immediately noticed my eyes were dryer and itchier than normal. I would not recommend these drops , have discarded them, and have informed my optometrist of my experience."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "Was prescribed this for dry eyes by optometrist, told to use twice daily. Ever since 1st use, eyes stung and got extremely red, vision got worse, blurry vision, redness, itchy, and sensitivity to light. Did not realize it was this until I stopped use. Was told to use every 2 hours and vision was getting worse. This product did not work for me."

Systane Hydration PF (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "The drops were recommended by my eye doctor, and they're quite good. That is, if you can get them in your eyes. The bottle is hands down the worst dispenser I have ever used, half of the time resulting in these rather expensive drops missing my eye and running down my face. They REALLY need to change the bottle to make it safer and more accurate."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "Doctor said my eyes were dry and scratched. Said to use Systane. Now my eyes are dry, scratched, puffy, and red. Eyes worse now then before Systane. Will never, ever use this product again. Into the garbage go these overpriced eye drops. They said other drops were all marketing - guess what, my eyes didn't get puffy and red. "

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I used Systane eye drops for my dry eye and right away noticed that my vision was blurry so I stopped using and at the same time my eye lashes on both eyes fell out. I was puzzled more about the lashes than anything as it was very concerning. My eyelashes grew back in about 2 months, and one morning I grabbed what I thought was my re-wetting drops only it was the Systane. I put it in one eye when I immediately realized that I used the wrong bottle, and guess what.....in about 2 days, my eyelashes in the eye I used the Systane fell out again!!! Very upset about this!! I threw the bottle in trash which is what I should have done in the 1st place...."

FreshKote (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "Using FreshKote is helping drastically. Especially At night. I would randomly wake up in the middle of the night feeling like somebody tore the skin off my cornea because my eyelids would stick to my eyes and FreshKote coat has prevented that. I am also using a humidifier at night and throughout the day in the house to keep my eyes feeling comfortable."

Systane Ultra (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Good lord. How can you market a product to cure dry eyes which does the complete opposite? Isn't that fraud? The makers of this stuff better watch out for a class action lawsuit because this stuff is awful and the company is guilty of false advertising. Have used for only one day and my eyes are getting worse by the minute. They feel dry, sticky and sore. Not the least bit moisturized! Just decided to discontinue."

Regener-Eyes Lite (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I suffer from MGD and ocular rosacea, and I've been using Regener-Eyes Lite and Professional Strength eye drops for over 18 months. My dry eyes are much more manageable and feel well-hydrated now. My eyes have never felt better, and I'm incredibly grateful to my doctor for recommending these drops. Nothing else has worked for me."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I was advised to use Systane ultra gel for dry eyes. I woke up one morning and my eyes were blood red! I stopped using Systane for a few days and I was fine. A week later my eyes became dry during the night so I used the Systane. Sure enough, the next morning my eyes were blood red again. In the trash is where these drops will go."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "In preparation for cataract surgery my ophthalmologist told me to use Systane four times a day. After the first eye was done I was also told to use it in the operated eye for irritation as needed. So now after repeated use and both eyes getting worse and worse in terms of dryness , irritation and light sensitivity I finally had the DUH moment and figured out the Systane was making my eyes miserable. It's now been about 19 hours since I stopped the drops and both eyes are SO, SO much improved. Maybe this stuff is okay for an occasional dose, but most certainly not repeatedly."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I’ve only used these drops a few times for my dry eyes, as doc recommended, but what I find is they seem like they are just “sitting on top” of my eye without actually absorbing for a long time. Does not feel hydrating, more like irritating. I don’t have any problems with itching or burning, but they do seem to make my eyes blurrier after I put them in for quite a while, and my eyes will not focus as well. Last night, when I was driving home at night after using these about an hour prior to that, it was harder to see and the lights had more of a halo effect. I have had much better luck with simple artificial tear drops."

Systane Ultra (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Purchase Systane and new bottles were half empty and the label hides the half filled bottle. It's very misleading. Will never buy again and will look for another brand since there are a lot of other options. No one likes to be fooled no matter if it's effective. It's not that much better than other brands to justify getting deceived."

FreshKote (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "I have Sjogrens and extremely dry inflamed eyes. I have used plugs and a lot of different eye drops including Restasis. My doctor added Fresh Kote to my Restasis and Altrex. As badly as it stings, it coats my eye and has provided more relief than the plugs. Unfortunately I have to change insurance and it will not be covered, so I will have to pay for it on my own. I highly recommend you try it."

Oasis Tears (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "For me and my doctor oasis tears are the best in the market, however they are extremely expensive. The vials are a disaster, they are difficult to close and you lose a lot of product which at the price they sell, it is too much this is the reason I would not recommend them There are many products in the market who can do similar job don’t waste your money as I did"
