"DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing the gummies, I am currently covered in hives and a crazy skin rash on my torso region. I had a metallic taste in my mouth (I thought I was pregnant) and crazy diarrhea, I was always frequenting the bathroom. I have stopped taking them, and I am hopefully praying the rash on my chest clears."

"Started taking Nature’s Bounty Women’s multivitamin gummies Dec 9th, 2019, and shortly after, started experiencing intense itching of the scalp and skin. This was not happening prior to the vitamins, and it took a while to make the connection. I forget to take them every day, so the days off and after I take the gummies, from head to toe, there was an intense crawling and itching sensation. "Head started itching like crazy after 3 1/2 weeks of using the product as directed. Had my family check my head for vermin and any other scalp conditions, and they saw nothing. I was absolutely going insane. Kept trying to figure out what, if anything, had changed in my normal routine: medications, hair products, etc., and nothing had until I remembered I had started this supplement 3 1/2 weeks prior and did a search on side effects. "I was super slow at figuring out how bad these were affecting me. I started these 3 months ago after my mother-in-law said she took the gummy ones. The store only had these ones, not that I would ever take the others after my experience. I was insanely itchy at the beginning and had headaches every day for two weeks but thought it must have been something else. I stopped taking them after I forgot. Then a month later, I remembered them. Symptoms came back, not so itchy, not always a headache, but I developed a sore throat and mild nausea. I thought, oh no, I got COVID. Had a negative test. Bullet dodged. Then the yeast infection came on. Could not kick it. My doctor prescribed me meds, and I had stopped taking the supplement at that time. Then once again I remembered I had these horrible things! Developed a sore throat and a yeast infection within 3 days, and it all clicked finally. Stay away from these things. Not sure what other damage I did to my body..."

"I have been taking Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Softgels for 30 days now. I didn't realize the allergic reaction I was having was related to these vitamins until today. I have been to Urgent Care twice, the dermatologist, and my primary care doctor in the past month to address my swollen, numb, burning, peeling, stinging lips. I have been treated with prednisone and antibiotics and topicals. In addition, I have had diarrhea. I should have checked the side effects and reviews first!"

"The Hair, Skin & Nails product I bought has PABA in it. After several days of taking this multivitamin, I thought my hair was looking better, but I developed an itchy rash all over my torso (mostly on my back). I don't know whether to attribute this problem to the vitamins (and PABA in particular), but since I've stopped taking the vitamins, the rash seems to be healing."

"Purchased these to help with age-related changes to hair and skin - nothing major, just trying to get ahead of menopause. There’s WAY too much vitamin A in these supplements - the three-pill dosage gives you 167% of your daily recommended vitamin A. If you eat healthy like me, you don’t need that much. Add in retinoids like Retin A that I use to keep my skin smooth, and you’re getting way too much. My hair started falling out in clumps. I started having serious bone pain - it was terrible! My dr tested my vitamin A levels - very high after taking this medication for a month. Avoid this supplement!"

"I started taking Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Extra Strength 5000mcg softgels on April 24th, 2021, every day except for a couple of days I forgot. I stopped taking them on June 19th, 2021. I didn’t change anything about my eating or my exercise habits. I drink more than enough water. I’ve had constant extreme bloat for the last couple of weeks and gained some fat on my stomach area I have never had before until I took these pills. My hair seems slightly thicker, but that can be from me just taking better care of my hair since I started the pills in general. I will never take these pills again and won't recommend them either."

"I’ve been feeling bloated and so uncomfortable in my upper stomach the past three weeks. I was assuming maybe I just needed to eat better and exercise, so I have been like a maniac doing that, and I still feel the same way. "I had a horrific reaction to this vitamin. My eyes became very dry, and within 3 days, they were swollen shut!! So bad that I couldn’t even drive!! The excessive swelling has caused terrible dryness of my eyelids and underneath, which has consequently caused terrible wrinkles!! I’ve seriously aged 10 years because of this vitamin and the horrible side effects it’s caused. Take with extreme caution."

"I couldn't tolerate these vitamins any longer than a few days! They smelled horrible, and I began noticing that I tasted this smell in my mouth, and my skin also smelled just like the vitamins! "I have been taking Nature's Bounty gummies for over a month. I have experienced a dry, itchy scalp, dry peeling hairline, dry hard rashy patches on my neck, and severe sores on my scalp. My head is now discolored and very white. My head being on fire is an understatement, I have scratched until my edges have thinned out. This product should be taken off the market, and the company should be sued. Today was my last day taking the gummies, and hopefully my head will get back to normal. I'm glad I decided to read the reviews for this product because now I see I'm not alone, I have every symptom everybody else has, and now I know I'm not going crazy."

"I used the gel caps, and my hair grew great, and no side effects. I bought the tablets and had a severe reaction, rapid heart rate, very high blood pressure, and a feeling of passing out, no hair improvement. I thought I was going to have a stroke, and I do not have high blood pressure."

"I started taking these gummies almost 3 months ago. I didn't have any major side effects in the beginning, maybe just a sore stomach at first, but that's normal as your body has to adjust to this new supplement. I started to see around a month that my hair was getting longer. It used to be a little past my shoulders, and now it's halfway down my back. So I did see some results with these, but everyone's body handles stuff differently, so maybe it worked for me but won't work for someone else. My hair has always been extremely slow growing, but I noticed a faster pace with the help of these. BUT I did start to get nonstop itchiness all over my arms and legs... I kept putting lotion because doctors thought I had really dry skin, but it's these, so be careful."

"Did they work? Yes. My nails and hair were flourishing. But! I had a horrible reaction to them. Severe itching all over my body. Started with my legs. Went on for months because I didn’t think I could be allergic to a vitamin. Went to a dermatologist and everything and got diagnosed with atopic dermatitis. I’ve cut them out after finally getting the brains to read the reviews after a friend said she got bad acne from them. So I’m now waiting for them to get out of my system and weaning myself off the itchy allergy meds I’m on. Hope it doesn’t take long!"

"It's been a week since I started feeling itchiness. I thought it was mosquito bites or bedbug bites or ant bites. But it was really a different kind of itchiness. Also, the swelling on my neck and feeling bloated all the time. I thought I just gained some weight, but looking into the scale, it's the same number. Then I stumbled upon this website. "I started using this product almost a month ago. My hair was really thin, and I had numerous bald patches. It's even worse now since using it. "I have been experiencing what feels like cuts and rashes on my face, itchy scalp and skin at night, tight headaches, and itchiness around my lips and eyes. These 'vitamins' need to be taken off the shelves immediately. I couldn't figure out what was happening, I figured it was a reaction to an old foundation but realized these supplements had been something new in my routine. I will no longer be taking these and have been using Neosporin to help with the rashes. Just wash them with Q-tips and apply the ointment on like three times a day. It helps."

"I started taking the Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails pills, followed the directions (3 pills per day), and have broken out in red bumps that itch, turn into a rash, and then turn dry and flaky all over my body, even my scalp. It took me getting a biopsy from a dermatologist to figure out it was these pills! DO NOT take these! Like the other posters have stated, these should be taken off the market."

"I, like many others, could not understand why I was developing a rash on my arms. Well, needless to say, do not take these vitamins. They worked for a nail I need to grow back, but the rash is not worth it. Urine and bowel movements will smell horrible. Migraines definitely increased. "I took these after I had my son in March 2016. I was losing so much hair, I was going bald. These made my hair grow so fast, and they tasted so good. I took them for about two months with no problems at all. My hair grew, my nails were stronger, a 10/10, so I decided to buy these again now in September 2017, and the taste is awful. When I take them, I get nauseous right away, and my head feels like it’s about to explode. My stomach feels full of water or bloated, it’s a weird sensation. It really sucks because I was really looking forward to taking these again."

"I developed hives on my arms and chest. I wondered if it was due to this B12 supplement by Nature's Bounty I take oral pill. I switched to a sublingual product and had no problem. That vitamin needed a refill, and I had another Nature's Bounty in my closet, so I tried it again. Hives after the first dose, I ruled out every med and supplement. It’s definitely this product. I decided to Google it and came upon this site, my ah-ha moment. I plan to call them regarding this issue as I want my money back and to make sure they get comments regarding this product."
