"I just finished the free 2-week trial and lost 8 pounds! I couldn't believe it. I hadn't exercised either but will start incorporating it in a few times a week. Dr. prescribed me a 3-month supply, my insurance doesn't cover but the savings card from Belviq helps. I'll try one month and see from there."

"Everything described by others on Belviq, I agree. However, I will summarize my experience by saying I used to live to eat, and after only 9 days, I now can truly say I eat to live. Definitely I feel that I have full control over what to eat and how much to eat at every meal. I am a Type 2 Diabetic. I started on Belviq 9 days ago on 06/13/13. Fasting Weight = Lost 4.80 pounds down to 246 from 250.8 or -1.9%. Fasting Glucose down by an average of 49 mg/dL from a baseline point of 164 mg/dL on 06/13/13 = 115 mg/dL on average. Weight-promoting Insulin Intake was reduced from 100 units to 70 units = 30% decrease. Next appointment with my Endo on Sept/20, can't wait to see what my next HbA1c will be. Last on 06/04 was 7.2%."

"I have been on Belviq for seven months and lost 48 pounds. Started out at 219 and now 171 pounds. Still have twenty to go but am now able to do two-mile walks at a reasonable pace. Side effects a little dry mouth but otherwise feel great and sleep like a baby. Some friends have said I am more calm, but that is about it. Glad to have found this by a referral from a friend."

"I was waiting a long time for Belviq to come out. It's been close to a week and I've lost over 6 lbs. Pretty impressive. Yes, I am dieting and exercising, but I am eating less. I just don't feel like eating anymore! I am hoping to lose 20 lbs in 6 months. I got a real good chance here. I don't feel any headaches or nausea like my doctor said."

"Started Belviq 6/12/13. I have no side effects. It definitely curbs my desire to eat, but I don't think it would be as effective if I did not have a 'good' diet to follow. Lost 4 lbs since starting, and waistline is getting slimmer already. I'm not edgy and can easily avoid carbs. Hope this helps anyone considering taking the pill."

"I've been on Belviq for just under 3 months. I started out at 211 lbs (5'6'') and I'm down to 191. It definitely helps reduce appetite. Recently unemployed, I was petrified I would be sitting at home stuffing my face. But not with Belviq. I don't feel hungry. One thing to note, if I ignore that lack of hunger and eat (i.e. for emotional/stress reasons), the medicine won't stop me from overeating. This medicine isn't some sort of replacement for a stomach-reducing surgery, but it is a very good tool. It's been the jumpstart that I needed. I also work out 5 times a week at a gym, which I did before, but I increased my workouts, adding a class here and there. Ladies beware, a possible side effect of Belviq is urinary tract infection, which I've had."

"I am 31, 5'9, 270 lbs. I've been on Belviq for 8 days. On the 1st day, I experienced a slight headache. I've had no other side effects since then. After 4 days of Belviq, eating VERY healthy small portions & doing 40 min of intense aerobics, I had not lost a pound! I was discouraged & figured I wasn't a responder. My appetite wasn't suppressed either. Then I decided to take it on an empty stomach instead of with my meals. It works for me 100% now. Once I take it, I don't want anything to eat for about 3 hours. During that time, I just drink water. In the last 3 days, I've lost 6 lbs! I'll update again once my 30-day subscription is up. Feeling HOPEFUL again!"

"No longer in denial that I was really fat. 5'10 tall and 217 pounds. High blood pressure and overweight were other factors on the horizon. My joints hurt, and so did my back. Six months in, 58 pounds less, less medication, sleeping well, and had no real side effects. I no longer have joints that ache, and my blood pressure medicine was lowered. Glad I got talked into trying this great medicine."

"I started using Belviq 20 days ago. My starting weight was 244, and I am 6 feet tall. Today, I am 222.5. I lost about 22 pounds in 20 days. For those who say it doesn't work, I think you need a miracle pill that will burn your fats while you are in bed because you're such a lazy person. You just want to enjoy food and burn fats. Remember, you gained all these pounds in months and years, so you should expect some willingness and a good workout to lose them. You can't just expect everything to be perfect without moving your ass."

"I love it. Remember not everything is right for everybody; we all have different bodies. I can't take anything, I always have bad side effects. I am 3 days in now, I noticed I can go without snacking all day and night because for some reason I'm hungry all the time. By the 3rd day, I feel different in a good way. I'm going to wait until my 7th day to weigh myself; I just feel more positive or something. It's hard to explain, I guess like I have some hope now. I weigh 206 now, I want to be back to my normal weight of 130, and I have a feeling I may be able to do that now since now I can pass on the carbs without craving them all the time. I hope that other people who feel like there is no hope and feel like a prisoner in their body can use this also."

"I have been on Belviq for 2 weeks now. I do have some sleeping problems, but it is getting better. I was 246 lbs, and at my 2-week weigh-in, I was 233 lbs. I have changed the way that I eat and have had no time for exercise. I love this pill."

"I have been on Belviq for six months and was 229 pounds. Now I am 192 pounds, with lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol. Side effects early on were feeling a little tired and having a headache. My willpower and confidence are up by 100%, and my cigarette consumption has decreased by 65% from two packs. My cravings for food and cigarettes are pretty mellow, and I believe I will quit sooner rather than later. This is way too easy, and yes, I do ride my bike daily."

"On day 6, I noticed a little more room in my belt and decided to weigh a day early - 194.5 lbs down to 187 lbs. I've lost 55 pounds from my tubbiest in 2003 (about 20 of that was water weight when I got my pacemaker replaced) but hit a plateau around 195 lbs for the last 6 months. My goal is 170 lbs by year-end. My trepidation about being a guinea pig for a new medicine is more than balanced by the ease and amount of the result. I'm expecting further improvement in backache and joint pain as my weight continues to drop. Now on day 14 at 184 pounds, I've lost 10 pounds, twice my stretch goal, and feel great. This is too easy!"

"I have been taking Belviq for 2 months. I love it. I did have a headache for weeks and felt tired. I slept. I weighed 226 lbs and now weigh 210 lbs. The only thing is you have to make yourself eat, but you will feel full quickly."

"I've been taking Belviq for 9 days now. It is amazing. I feel great and it has suppressed my appetite. It has really changed my eating behavior, and the most amazing part is I haven't missed it. I'm not one for dieting, but I've lost 8 lbs and counting. Good luck."

"I did have some significant side effects for the first two weeks, but I took only one pill a day for that time to get used to it. I am up to two a day now (recommended dose), and the side effects are gone except for slight nausea once in a while. I have lost 6 lbs in about 3 weeks. That is quite good for me as I am not very active. Busy but sedentary life."

"5'10' 55-year-old female, started on 11/5/14 at 217, today I weigh 206 (28 days - 11 lbs). Minor effects: dry mouth at first, going away now. This included a 6-day business trip to SF and Thanksgiving. I am extremely happy with results!"

"I am a 61-year-old, 5'3" female that started the 2-week trial on April 15, 2014, at 237 pounds. If I had any initial side effects, I don't recall them, so I must have had none or they were too mild to mention. I don't have any side effects now, which is a little over 3 months since I started. I lost 10 pounds during the 2-week (free) trial, so I was impressed and definitely ready to continue! I got a $75/month card (credit) from the pill company, so that was a plus. I still have to pay $163/month. My insurance does not cover it. They would rather pay for my cholesterol and blood pressure meds. So as of today, July 18, 2014, I have gone from 237 to 210 lbs. Not too bad with 27 pounds gone with no side effects and no exercise. Loving the results!"

"I have been on Belviq since September 2014 and have lost about 50 lbs. Today 1/27/2015, I weigh 195 lbs. Back in September, I was at 248 lbs. I love Belviq so much; it's one of the best prescriptions I have ever gotten. Because Belviq helps me control my appetite, I am able to eat less and I eat healthier food. Also, I have started working out for an hour a day, 6 days a week since I started Belviq. It's the most amazing medication that exists; it really has changed my life for the better."

"Just a 54-year-old, 5'9'', 244-pound guy. I was considering bypass and was advised by a friend that the surgery is not the answer. Well, 13 months later, I shed forty-nine pounds and feel pretty great. I am up to walking two miles a week, and please don't laugh. No big side effects except a little constipation. My doctor is now a believer that this can help. Wish me luck."

"I have been on Belviq for 8 days now. The first 3-4 days, I had headaches and a slight pounding in my ears. I do feel like I'm a little more forgetful than usual, but nothing extreme. I just make myself a list so nothing slips by. My joints are a little sore, but again, nothing extreme. My starting weight was 176.8, and 8 days later, I'm 171.2. I haven't changed my eating habits as far as what I eat, but I'm eating a portion of what I would normally eat. My 'obsession' for food has pretty much gone away. I can get through an entire day without having cravings. So far, the results compared to the slight side effects are so worth it for me! My Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance covers 65% of the monthly cost, so my monthly portion is $71.00."

"I reviewed this drug in August of 2014, also with a 9 rating. I want to update my experience, though. I went from 180 to 140 in around 2 1/2 months. I kept it off completely for 7 months (even through winter and the holidays) after discontinuing Belviq. However, I quit smoking 5 weeks ago, ordered about 5 lbs of gummy bears to help, and gained almost 10 lbs. I don't even care. It was worth it to stop smoking, and I started my Belviq again and it's working beautifully again. I want to add - my favorite part of this medication is how it eliminates my sugar and carb cravings, even alcohol, and instead makes me crave salads and protein. I don't know how it does this, but it's amazing stuff."

"Began to take two weeks ago (7/8) starting with 1 pill on 7/8, then 2 pills a day (morning before breakfast and evening before dinner). The first week was dramatic (lost 5 pounds). The second week was slow, only 2 pounds. It is my body's way of fighting back not to let go of fat. But 7 pounds in two weeks is amazing. The most important change is sleeping through the night. I used to get up in the middle of the night with a prescription sleeping pill. Then, I would go to the kitchen and eat some snacks. Yes, I am a night eater. Now, that habit is gone. The second night after sleeping through the night, I stopped the sleeping pill. I do not need a sleeping pill anymore and I do not eat in the middle of the night. I don't feel hungry anymore."
