"An update to my earlier progress: I have been on Saxenda for 10.5 months now and have lost 29 kg (64 pounds), and I only take 1/5 of the dose by staying on the 0.6 mg. I never got past 1.8 (briefly), as the constipation was too bad. Most of the time, I did not exercise - a combination of being hard as a big person, a bad knee, and working awful hours. I have started walking more recently, which feels great to be able to move more easily. I have moved from Obese Class 3 to Class 1; and in 5 more kg, I will move to Overweight rather than Obese - which I am excited by. At this stage, I expect to stay on this low dose approach to lose another 10-15 kg, then I will try to wean myself off and monitor what happens."

"I didn’t think Saxenda would work for me as I mainly eat out of boredom. My start weight March ‘24 was 83kgs & in 3 months June ‘24 is 77kgs. I find I can’t drink much alcohol & my meal portions are smaller. I’ve had a couple of episodes of diarrhoea when I’ve over indulged & early on heartburn was quite prevalent but found Gaviscon worked immediately. I haven’t been able to do any exercise due to a bad leg so I’m happy to have lost the 6kgs. The injections are simple to do, the biggest downside for me is the cost & I’m concerned about putting weight back on when I stop taking it. So apart from the cost I’m very happy with Saxenda."

"Have used intermittently over the last year. Am middle-aged and about 25% overweight. After a good period of use, I can get down to 15% overweight, but the weight returns when I stop taking it. It does work, and the headache and tiredness soon disappear. You get used to it quite quickly, but the appetite-suppressing effect gets weaker after about a month. For me, there was a strong relationship between the amount of nausea I felt and the loss of appetite. Put crudely, it makes you feel a bit sick, and with that, you don't feel as hungry. You also don't enjoy the food you do eat like you did before. Reasons I don't take it all the time: boredom, inertia, cost, loss of enjoyment of food, nausea, fear of long-term side effects."

"I started using Saxenda a week and a half ago. I'm very impressed. In the first week on 0.6mg, I lost 5kg. I wasn't expecting it, but it was a nice surprise. I've had some nausea, but nothing too bad. I also have constipation badly, but I find Caruso Constipation Eze works great. I'm now on 1.2 mg, and I get weighed every 3 to 4 weeks. So far, it's been a game-changer, and I can't wait for what's to come."

"I am starting week 3 of Saxenda and I like it because it makes me full, but I do force myself to eat 3 meals a day: small amounts, usually yogurt, fruit, veggies, protein. No bread or carbs. Drinking lots of water and I do add Wyler Light Straw Lemonade to my water once a day, no sugar. I am down 11 pounds. I was supposed to move to 1.8 this week, but I think I am gonna stay at 1.2 for one more week."

"I have been taking Saxenda now for 6 weeks and I have lost over 15kg so far! It has helped to control late-night cravings and also makes me feel full and satisfied while eating a lot less at each meal. So far, it has helped with my blood glucose levels. Before Saxenda, if I skipped a meal, I would almost inevitably end up with low blood sugar. It hasn't all been smooth sailing though, the bouts of nausea have been bad, especially when I have overindulged in my favorite chocolate! I've learned that if I just have a small amount as a treat instead of eating way too much, I can mostly avoid the nausea. So far, I am happy that I've started this journey with Saxenda and the results speak for themselves."

"Perfect!! No side effects. Maybe a few, but when you start losing weight yourself. There are also some side effects. I lost 10 kg within 8 weeks. But please note that I am very motivated! There are periods when my weight is frozen. It takes 1.5 weeks before I see weight loss again. But then I go with 2 kg in 2 to 3 days. I can recommend it."

"I began my journey with Saxenda in June of this year, having a meltdown episode with the doctor. I started on the lowest setting for a month, increasing bi-weekly by a dose level until I was on the maximum dose. I have had no negative side effects to the best of my knowledge. I began my weight at 365.5 lbs and have lost 38.5 lbs."

"I started Saxenda 7 weeks ago at 128kg and just weighed in at 119.6, so happy to report an 8.4kg loss. I have had a great experience so far - I describe it as 'there is silence in my head' instead of always wondering what is in the pantry or what my next meal is. It is amazing, and I would estimate I am eating 1/3 of what I used to. I have stayed on the 1.8mg so far as it seems to be working well. I will increase later if I think I need to. I have not exercised (yet). The only side effects are both constipation and diarrhea - not pleasant but not unmanageable. So far, I am a big fan. In Australia, I paid $380 for 5 pens, and based on a dose of 1.8mg ongoing, I am estimating $250-300/month, then minus what I am not spending on food."

"A recap: I started taking Saxenda 4 months ago. I'm after thyroidectomy because of thyroid cancer, and I have hyperinsulinism. After 4 months of taking Saxenda (3 months on 0.6 dose, and now on 1.2), I lost 18 kilos (39 lbs). At the beginning of my journey, I weighed 141 kg (310 lbs), and now I weigh 123 kg (271 lbs). My insulin levels went from 48 to 27, which is amazing. My blood sugar is perfect. I have no side effects. I think that's maybe because I started really slow, and I took the lowest dose for 3 months. I don't intend to increase my dosage right now because the 1.2 dose still works for me. I eat around 1800 calories per day, no exercise at all. Will be back with another update after 4 months from now. Take care."

"On week 1. So far no issues at all. I followed my doctor's advice to make sure I eat 3 meals a day, whether I am hungry or not. Small meals. I like how I don't have an appetite and I pick better the foods I am going to put in my mouth. Protein at each meal so there is no muscle loss. I put electrolyte drops in my water once a day. 4.2 lbs loss so far in the first week. I notice the water loss in my ankles, etc. I look forward to week two. I like that the needle is so small you barely know it's there. I am taking my vitamins. I started riding my indoor bike every couple of days. I will update on week 2 next."

"Love being on this, appetite has diminished, and at times wondering if not eating enough, try to ensure fruit veggies daily including yogurt have started on protein shakes. Dosage is at 1.8, however, since increase to 1.8 have begun to feel light-headed and dizzy. Not sure if I should drop back to 1.2. Have lost 12 kg in 4 months, very happy with loss though seems to have plateaued and is now a lot slower. Should I increase up to the full 3mg?"

"5 weeks in. Have lost 24 pounds in the last 3.5 weeks. Plateaued about a week ago at the 21 pound mark. Struggling to break through the barrier. Finally lost 3 more pounds in about 7 days. I eat so much less than what I used to. Sometimes just a strip of chicken in the morning and a 1/2 pint of beef/potatoes/vegetables at night. One snack. 1/2 pint peanut butter/raspberry preserves/peanuts/coffee creamer. I am slightly nauseated off and on. Tums help. I am delighted and excited. Goal=200lbs from 390lb to 190lb."

"Started Saxenda about a month ago, lost 2.5 kg - noticeable inch loss, pants no longer fit! My best advice: don't obsess over the scale. Eat a high-protein breakfast, chicken, fruit, yogurt, balanced dinner. I run 3x/week because I am training for a half marathon. Moving your body also helps, it does not have to be running, just walking is great! Saxenda benefits: 1. No more obsessive food thoughts, less emotional connection to food. 2. You will feel satisfied way faster while eating. Some other advice: increase your dose only if needed. Listen to your body, rest, eat mostly unprocessed simple foods, but don't forget about the occasional treats for the mind. Remember, Saxenda can help with weight loss by reducing food-related thoughts and promoting smaller portion sizes, but maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and mindful eating are also crucial for long-term success!"

"So I'm from Poland and I was very afraid of taking this drug. I'm 37 years old. 5 years ago, I underwent total thyroidectomy after thyroid cancer. I'm also insulin resistant. When starting Saxenda on July 8, 2023, I weighed 141kg (310 pounds), and my height is 169cm (5'6). I also had my gallbladder removed in 2019, and it's the reason I was so scared to begin Saxenda. I think that I have a higher chance of developing pancreatitis. 13 days have passed, and so far, I've lost 5kg (11 pounds). I'm still on the lowest dose of 0.6. I don't feel hungry anymore, and the best part is that I don't have any bad side effects, only good :) I stopped taking my drugs for hypertension because now my blood pressure is perfect (105/72), and I don't feel sleepy in the middle of the day. I eat roughly 1700 calories per day. My blood results are perfect. I will continue taking Saxenda and will report back in the future :)"

"I have been taking Saxenda for 5 months and have lost 28 lbs in total. Weight loss has been consistent at 1-2 lbs per week, and I feel this is going to be sustainable for me. I had some mild side effects (heartburn and nausea) when I first started taking it, particularly on the days I increased the dose when I would feel quite sick. Taking it at night and following the plan by increasing the dose each week helped with this, I'm sure. Now I am at the full dose, and I have no side effects. This has definitely helped me reduce the amount of food I eat and has reduced cravings considerably."

"Started taking Saxenda 8 days ago. Absolutely no appetite from the second day. Have struggled to try and eat. Protein yogurts and fruit and finely diced salads. I’m trying to maximize the good stuff for my body when I do eat. The only side effect was on day 7 when I upped the dose, mild waves of nausea throughout the day which I managed with sparkling water. I’m not weighing myself as I’m not going to be a slave to the scales. I’ll see if there’s progress when I next go to the clinic. I’ve tried everything over the years, and this so far helps me not overeat or have cravings. 10/10 for me."

"I have been on this for 23 days and am down 10.8 pounds. I have felt nausea and fatigue, but it is getting better. I have increased from 0.6 to 1.2 and have done the 1.8 a few days. But I have decided to take my time increasing since it has been so effective. I cannot emphasize how much this has cut down on cravings and the feeling of hunger. I had already been improving my eating habits, so I feel like I had a jump start (down a total of 30 pounds since April). I normally feel hungry and go back for seconds or want a late-night snack of popcorn and a glass or two of wine. Saxenda has practically eliminated those cravings completely. I eat a small or reasonable portion and feel full. I am definitely happy with the results. I have seen other comments where people were not happy, but it seemed like they jumped from 0.6 to 1.2 quickly or were still overeating. My results have been great, and the side effects minor. I would not recommend overeating since that happened to me one night and I got sick."

"I have taken Saxenda for 3 weeks and have lost 12 lbs. I am walking as much as possible, maybe 1 hour 4 days per week, and eating 3 meals. Saxenda has stopped the binge eating disorder voice in my head. I seem to be full and have no desire to snack outside of the 3 meals per day. I am on 2.4mg and will stay on that unless I feel I need to go to 3. I started out at 15.5 stone and am now 14.7 stone. I hope this drug can help get me to 12 stone. I am 5 foot 6. Side effects have been minimal so far. I feel a bit full at times, but I'm happy to feel that way. This medicine works, just a shame it's so expensive. It costs me 150 euros for a 3-week supply."

"Ontario, Canada. Started June 21st, 2023 at 192 lbs. Today, July 10th, I'm down 17 lbs. No side effects. After bumping up the dose, I started taking it in the morning instead of at night. Now, my big mistake was pushing the dial on the injecting button and taking it out quickly. Then I read to push the button until it goes back to zero, wait 6-7 seconds, and then remove it. I'm up to 1.8 sometimes with a little headache, but I nibble on grapes or yogurt. I used to drink a bottle of wine every night. Since I started, to be honest, I took a taste of wine and it tastes horrible. My plate size is pretty small. I have noticed the weight coming off my belly. I have to be honest, I was thin most of my life, but about 15 years ago, I started gaining weight little by little. When I first started, I thought I would like to look better. Then I thought of all the fat surrounding my organs. My blood pressure was high, so I had to do something. This seems to work for now, so I'm trying 4 more pens!!! Fingers crossed."

"I started Saxenda last week, Thursday, at 133 lbs and have already lost 5 lbs. I am currently at 127 lbs. I am planning to lose another 10 lbs in the next 2 weeks. My plan is to lose a total of 27 lbs and reach my target weight of 100 lbs. I will definitely update in a week or two and until I reach my target weight. Keeping a low-calorie diet is very important. I haven't had any side effects as of yet apart from feeling tired, which is good as I need the sleep and have been sleeping really well."

"Been on this medication for a little over a month, lost 10 lbs. However, I am not obese to begin with. But I've been trying to get rid of the 15 lbs I put on over the last year or two with no luck. Ordered these pens online myself. Yes, I lost weight. However, the reason you lose weight is because they make you very nauseated. Feeling that way all day also makes you not want to do anything. So you decide if it's worth it."
