Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I had terrible rosacea flare-ups in lockdown and tried Soolantra. Days 1-3, a glimpse of the future! The most amazing baby skin overnight! The next couple of weeks, tremendous die-off flare-ups, itching, red, spotty, dry, and awful. Now, week four, my skin is clear and baby soft. I do not think it has looked like this for 40 years!"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Me again! The last time I wrote here was after being on Soolantra for 3 months, and my skin was perfect! Because of that, I thought I could stop using it, however, I wish I never had because now my perioral dermatitis is back with a vengeance and ten times worse than before! I’ve been on Soolantra again for just over a month, and it’s not getting any better. I have huge pustules, redness, and scaly skin on my chin and lots of papules. It’s even spread to my forehead this time. It’s really upsetting as I’m only 20, and all through my teenage years, I had perfect skin, and now it looks as though I’ll never have that again, or at least I’ll be forever dependent on a cream to get there. I will continue to use Soolantra for the recommended 3 months again and update you all in due course."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Just wanted to share my experience because these reviews have helped me so much. I'm on day 13, and my skin is clearing so well. The first few days (until day 10-11) were terrible!! I mean awful! Bumps everywhere, and redness and itching. I was also using Finacea gel during the day, and I believe that was making my skin worse. I stopped using that during the day and started using sodium sulfacetamide (Klaron), and my skin has made a turn for the better. I had some redness (butterfly rash) and tons of papules. They seem to be clearing up, and my skin is crazy soft. I'm using Neutrogena ultra-gentle wash in the morning and night, Paula's Choice 2 percent clear exfoliant everywhere except my cheeks day and night, the Klaron topical antibiotic in the day, then Vani Cream Lite in the day, and then Soolantra in the evening, no cream on top of it. Please try this routine if you are struggling!! I will update when it's been a month (:"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I am a 42-year-old female, with fair, sensitive skin. I am 105 lbs and about 5'2'. Increased skin symptoms over the last year. I started getting what I thought was hormonal acne on my jowls. I thought the acne-like symptoms were due to hormone fluctuations; my skin would clear during specific points in my cycle. Foods would trigger it. In addition to acne-like red bumps, pustules, redness, slight itchiness, swelling, etc., I also started to get these small, pink raised patches on my cheeks, up closer to my eyes. These were itchy; I thought it might be eczema. The acne-like symptoms spread to my jawline, then cheeks. I went to my derm and found it was Demodex. I was in disbelief that this could be causing my symptoms, as I am incredibly clean. Rx: oral Ivermectin (4 tablets 1x/week for 4 weeks) and Soolantra (nightly). Days 1 and 2 were okay. Days 3-5, my face got worse. My face was probably reacting to Demodex dying. By day 7, my face was completely clear and has been since (4 wk Tx completed)."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I have been using Soolantra for my perioral dermatitis for 4 days now, and so far, so good. Immediately after night 1, my skin was less red and bumps lessened. However, I know that it gets worse in weeks 1-3 before it gets better, and I could already see by day 3 I had a few more papules than usual! I am going to stick with it for the recommended three months, and I will keep everybody updated over time! Also, I can't believe how expensive it is for you Americans, that's awful and so unfair! In England, it only costs £9!"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Today I feel sad. I have been using Soolantra for 7 weeks now. The first 3 days were terrible, with major redness, itching, and lots of pimples. But then they disappeared, and also the bumps that I have had for several months started to reduce in size. My cheeks have had a very strange texture because of the rosacea, but they now got smooth and less red. I have rosacea on my nose and cheeks. So I was happy until now, week 7, when suddenly it seems to go in the wrong direction. I have a breakout that is really bad, with itching, pimples, and more redness than before I started. I know it says that you should continue for 12 weeks, so I will do that. I will come back and tell what happened. But I wanted to share my experience since I know how hard it is to have rosacea and also to read only stories that include people who got rid of it only in two weeks. I have type 2 with p&p, but I also have redness with broken blood vessels."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Entire face covered in red patches and breakouts, several lumps under the skin, especially along the jawline. It was terrible. Started Soolantra, and it was worse for about a week and a half. Nearly quit. But then... my skin started to clear a little. I kept going, and slowly it worked better and better. 5 months after starting, only the visible veins on my nose are there, no breakouts, no lumps or pustules. Skin has healed so well. Watch your diet too. Less wheat is important, amazing product. It changed my life. I’ve used it for 7 months."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I never had suffered from rosacea until I started taking Accutane for acne. The doctor mentioned a side effect was redness and increased sensitivity to the sun, but I assumed this would wear off or go away once I finished the dosage. How wrong I was! I took Accutane for mild acne, which I hugely regret, as the lasting effects have been much worse than the original spots. I stopped taking Accutane 2+ years ago. The spots came back after 12 months, and now I cannot tan. I burn in the sun very easily, blush all the time, especially after a few drinks, and overall have a lot more issues with my skin. I live in the Middle East, so as you can imagine, not an easy place to suffer from this. I started using Soolantra after reading these reviews, and one week in, it's working great. My skin feels smooth, and the spots have gone. Redness I can see is starting to reduce. I just hope this can assist with the flushing also. I have never suffered from this, and it affects me socially quite a bit."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Soolantra isn't nothing short of miraculous. I have had rosacea for the last 6 years. I tried everything. I was using Clinique products for the last 2 years, and they seemed to stop working. My face broke out so badly that I canceled my plans for about a week and would only leave the house if forced, with heavy makeup. I went to a new dermatologist expecting the same old options. She gave me a trial-sized tube of Soolantra, and I saw results almost immediately. My skin tone is so even, it's amazing. I went without it for two days, and the redness started to come back with some blotches. It took about three days using the medication, and it cleared up. I use clear zinc oxide cream over it (SPF 50), and there are days I actually go without makeup."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I know that people read these reviews with doubt. I am also aware that what works for one won't always work for another. Based on my own experience, this cream has been amazing. I had, for months, persistent redness and lesion-type marks on my cheek, and they have dramatically cleared up since going on this cream a month ago. It's important to say I am using an antibiotic (Tetralysal) too, but as I understand it (not that I am claiming great knowledge), it would take months for the antibiotic to really kick in. On that basis, I am attributing the immediate improvement to the cream. I am from Ireland, and the cream is dear, c. €40, but to be honest, I'd have paid more for the improvement! I genuinely hope this helps someone else!"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I woke up with a random small rash patch that spread over two months to both sides of my cheeks. Apparently mild rosacea... bumpy red blotches, enlarged pores, just horrid skin. I’ve been on doxy for a month and azelaic acid 20%, which calmed the redness but wasn’t clearing the bumps. I’ve been using Soolantra for 4 days, and my skin has gotten so bad... lots of bumps which you can see in sunlight, which I never had before... will it get better?! I can’t take much more of it."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Possibly Soolantra is the only thing to properly clear my rosacea up. First 8 days were awful as my skin was red and crusting over. Day 9 all dried up, day 10 woke up to clearer skin. Day 11 and 12 redness subsiding. I'll never touch antibiotics again as it ruins your body. Use omega 3 with cod liver oil tablet, apple cider vinegar with mother (natural thing in it) plus antihistamine. Good luck to you all."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I took this on the recommendation of my doctor, and my rosacea had really cleared up after 15% mandelic acid serum since April 2018, and pretty much weaned myself off the antibiotics. Stopped dairy and sugar, too, stopped getting major red bumps, and the mandelic acid really took the redness away, but still had minor bumps and slight redness. Took Soolantra July 25 only once, and had a bad feeling after reading things here. Had mild rosacea and mad at myself for not researching it first. It is now 3 weeks later, and my face has major redness and cystic acne bumps, with one between my eyes that is painful to touch. Worked so hard to clear up my skin, and one application of this stuff and I’m ruined. Once the mites die off in the third week, will these bumps keep reoccurring after I stopped the medication? Or is this die-off a one-time thing once you stop? I had these mites under control, and now I look worse than ever. Can someone please tell me if they stopped using it and what happened? I haven’t had bad rosacea like this in 5 years!"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I suffered from inflammation and dryness for a number of years. According to specialists and doctors, the only viable solution for such a condition was to take a course of Roaccutane. After using Soolantra for 2 months, it completely changed my skin. I had pretty severe dryness from the age of about 18 to 22 and had to moisturize heavily anytime I showered. Soolantra has literally cured this. I think it's been over a year now since I used the cream, and I haven't experienced any dryness since. The redness has been dramatically reduced and is more or less unnoticeable. Irritation is non-existent. Occasionally, I flare up, but that's as worst as it gets."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I have been struggling with my skin for a year from long-term use of topical steroids. It has been such a roller coaster. I've been on many regimens of antibiotics and creams, nothing worked. My self-confidence was so low, and depression was at an all-time high. My doctor wanted to put me on Accutane, but I declined because of the numerous side effects. I started yet a new regimen of Tetracycline and Soolantra on 4/27/18, and my skin has improved 95%. The first 3 days, my skin purged with small white zits, then each day they were less noticeable. After a week, they were gone, and my skin was smooth. I'm experiencing redness and mild itching, but remember my skin is hypersensitive due to steroid use, so this may just be me. I will take red skin over 'frog skin.' The price was $160.00 with insurance, but it was worth it. I'm a little scared to write this review so soon, but I know how it feels to think that nothing will work. So far, it's amazing! Don't give up hope."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Background info: I've suffered with rosacea (subtype 2) mildly for 3 years, but this time last year it got much worse. I had red papules on one cheek, which spread across my face. I was prescribed metronidazole gel, which may have helped a little, but it was still really bad. I then tried azelaic acid, which didn't work. Then I read about ivermectin (Soolantra) online and requested it from my GP (in the UK). They agreed to prescribe it. Results: To say I'm happy with the cream is an understatement. The papules are gone! My pores are still larger than before I had rosacea, and I have a little bit of redness, but I can deal with those by using makeup. I'm just so pleased the bumps have gone. I would definitely recommend this cream!"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I had a terrible experience with this medication. The first two days, my skin looked and felt great. From day three to nine, my face erupted and was covered, literally covered, in bumps and red, raised patches. I even had bumps in my eyebrows and on my neck. I understand that for some, who persisted, they saw favorable results, but please do not assume this is the case for you. I met with my dermatologist today, and he said that none of these awful side effects are shared in the journals or by the Soolantra reps. He said I could try to continue, but that he'd recommend stopping. If your gut says this is not a helpful reaction and that your face is worsening, don't continue. You know your body best! Also, who wants to wait one to three months without a guarantee of things getting better and feeling self-conscious to leave the house."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Going into my 8th week, and so far, so good. The 2nd and 6th week, I felt like the cream wasn't working, but I knew going in that there were going to be highs and lows, and I would have to hang in there for the 12 weeks. I have subtype 1 with redness and flushing. The redness is still there, but I'm happy that flushing is 75% better."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "After reading so many negative reviews, I was afraid to start using this cream. I bought it in February and started to use it at the end of May. And it definitely changed my life in a good way. Most importantly, I don’t get that redness and burning sensation anymore. In the first five days, I experienced itching and redness, couldn’t apply any other product, and felt the skin was very reactive but not necessarily worse than my worst times with rosacea. In the first 6 weeks, bumps showed up every day (2-3) and my skin was very oily. In my case, I have demodicosis associated with rosacea. I could see demodex with a zoom mirror (you can search on Instagram, there are many dermatologists that post photos on how Demodex could be seen on the skin when it's an overpopulation). I also removed any foundation, as I have oily skin and using foundation added more oil and fed the Demodex. I used a minimum of cosmetic products on my face: Metrocreme Ivatherm in the morning, mineral SPF when out in the sun, and washing with Avene cold cream."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I've used Soolantra for 3 weeks, but my skin was getting worse and worse progressively, so I stopped using it. It got better since, but I still had redness and itchy pustules popping up every day. Now my skin is in much better condition. My regime is changed: diet (less sugar), washing with Avene moisturizing cream cleanser (super gentle), Dermiq Capilite night serum (saved my skin literally! No more itchy bumps and less redness), and taking calcium tablets."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "It's now been 4 weeks today, and the improvement is visible! Please hang in there, even if it gets worse in the beginning. Less redness, fewer bumps, etc. I only apply sparingly after washing my face with a mild face wash at night before bed. This is a great product, which takes time, but it does work. Good luck! :-)"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I was put onto Soolantra at the request of my doctor, who wanted me to take a break from the Efracea 40 mg doxycycline tablets. I was very skeptical, as I had previously tried various gels and creams, and all had aggravated the rosacea. I stopped the tablets, once daily application of Soolantra as instructed. First week all okay, skin felt softer, but occasionally itchy, slightly redder, and a little tight. For some context here, I have type 2 rosacea, slight reddening, but pustules and papules, over my 'T' section (nose and cheeks). From the start of the second week, skin definitely started breaking out more, to the point that by day 12, itching and tight all over also. I called my GP, explained what was happening, and he issued a prescription for Efracea again. Starting to slowly heal again now, one huge red lump is still quite nasty though, wish I'd stopped the cream before I did! For me, not a good result, would say give it a go, but go with your gut feeling, rather than persevere."

For Rosacea "Update from my last post a month ago! I'm on Rosiver (ivermectin) for more than 8 weeks, and I have to say this stuff works pretty well. I still have tiny pimples on my forehead and some red spots on my cheeks, but those are barely noticeable. I think it's more me focusing on my skin! My skin is not perfect, but now I feel confident doing errands without makeup. I can't wait to see the result at the 12 weeks...maybe the scars left by the pimple will be gone :)"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "My experience with Soolantra is similar to Grateful’s. Skin reddening and becoming more sun-sensitive, bumps and pustules got me to the GP, a disastrous prescription of flucloxacillin that multiplied the bumps and pustules a hundredfold and caused me to have 2 weeks off, but fortunately got me to an excellent dermatologist. The dermatologist prescribed washing with Dermol500 and applying Soolantra. I have been using it now since 17 April (today is 23 May) and in that time, it has cleared all lumps, bumps, scales, rash, redness and amazingly (to me) stopped the strange flushing feeling that would creep across my face like an allergic reaction several times a day. I have been almost crying in gratitude with the relief from the pain and itching."
