For Birth Control "I am currently 19, in good health, not taking other medicines, have been tested negative for STDs, and sexually active with one partner only. I am taking birth control mainly as a contraceptive and partly to regulate my irregular periods. I have just completed my first week on Tri-Sprintec and have not experienced any significant changes. I have not had any mood swings in the past week, nor experienced drops/spikes in libido. No significant weight gain in this past week, however, I do feel my sports bras tightening up. (Hopefully, my breasts are growing?) No breast tenderness. No change in appetite. Complexion looks better if not the same. I will continue to share my experience with this pill. Currently, very happy with it."

For Birth Control "This is my third type of birth control pill over the last 4 years. I've gone on and off birth control, mostly because I'm not sexually active very much unless I have a boyfriend. Currently, I'm on my 5th packet. Pros: CHEAP! $9 at Wal-Mart. No taste. Easy to swallow. Periods reduced to 4-5 days when they were lasting 7-8 days before. Cons: Bad nausea and headaches on the first 3 packets. Slight breast tenderness upon resuming a new packet. Usually only lasts for a couple of days. Delayed periods. On my old birth control, I would get them the next day after stopping a packet, but now it takes 3-4 days for it to start. Painful cramps for the first day of the period. Overall, I'd recommend it. All types of birth control will give you some of these side effects."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for a year now, and it's been great. The first month or two, the side effects were definitely there. I had mild cramps pretty constantly, and my boobs hurt, but it wasn't anything debilitating. The worst part was during the first month I was a bit dry down there. But that's all since cleared up. My period has been very constant and never late or early. I didn't gain any weight, and my anxiety hasn't elevated at all. This medication has been good to me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Third month of Tri-Sprintec for heavy periods, and I have not had very much side effects other than a bit of breast tenderness that went away after a month. My periods have gotten significantly better, and I have been complimented on my skin after years and years of acne (I’m 39). It’s been kinda nice to get compliments on my skin. Everyone is different, and don’t let another’s experience keep you from trying something new, you never know if it’s going to be right for you."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for 3 months now, it seems to be effective. I am baby-free, and my periods are more regulated now. However, I have noticed that I am hungry ALL the time... all I want to do is snack and have really intense cravings. I haven't gained any weight because I try to keep that under control, but it is hard. I have also noticed that this birth control has helped with my breast soreness/tenderness before my period. Now they do not hurt nearly as badly, whereas before I was in terrible pain, so bad that it hurt to put a bra on. Oh, and this medication is free, so that's a plus."

For Birth Control "Just like many things, everyone's experience will be different. It is my first time ever taking birth control, my boyfriend and I are very sexually active, so I wanted to be safe and get on the pill. We have unprotected sex all the time without him ever having to pull out. Despite all the negative reviews, I gave Tri-Sprintec a try. I didn't really notice the 'side effects' until the third month in, which is normal. The only negative thing I can say about this pill is that it has increased my appetite. I gained roughly 5-7 lbs, I found myself snacking a lot more and just having an appetite all the time. My boobs also grew a bit, and they're more tender. As far as acne, I haven't broken out at all on this pill. It works, and I'm not experiencing mood swings or anxiety, I take it at 4 PM every day."

For Birth Control "I've been through the mill with birth control pills. I've probably tried and quit 10 contraceptives. I LOVE this pill, though. It helps with regulating my periods since I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), and now I'm actually able to get pregnant. I might mention that I'm a decently sized woman, too. It completely stopped my acne. I've never, knock on wood, had any problems with blood clots, quickened heart rate, high blood pressure, headaches, increased appetite, decreased appetite, tenderness of breasts, or an increase in the depression I already suffer from. I would recommend this contraceptive to any woman. Get this birth control! You will not be sorry."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Tri-Sprintec when I was 15 years old to regulate my period. I turn 20 in two weeks and have been taking this birth control consistently. I have had minimal issues (occasional breast tenderness-no big deal). All birth controls have their side effects, but to say that this would alter my decision to take this birth control is bizarre. I have sex with my partner about every other day, and we NEVER use condoms. However, he only 'finishes' in me once or twice every few months. Even then, I have (luckily) had no problems. I have had no weight gain or mood swings or any other side effects. It has also kept my face perfectly clear since it doubles as an acne fighter. Very impressed and would HIGHLY recommend to younger people."

For Acne "I started Tri-Sprintec 3 months ago for my 15-year struggle with acne. I am 35 years old and haven't been able to battle acne until now... sort of. It has cleared my acne by like 90%! It probably would have been 100% if it wouldn't make me stay on my period for 3 weeks at a time. I have ALWAYS been regular with no cramps or period problems until now. I still have no cramps, but my period comes on whenever it feels like it! So annoying. I also have had tender breasts. I'm already a DDD, so I don't need any growing there, please! Other than that... I love the fact that my face is clearing up... I can deal with the other problems as long as my acne is GONE!!"

For Acne "I'm almost finished with my 3rd pack. I have nice skin again, and my periods are regular. No weight gain (I sort of wanted some), and my breasts have gotten somewhat fuller, but that's no complaint. I have had no side effects on this pill that affect my life, the 3rd week my breasts get a little tender, but I'm not in horrible pain. I think I'll be staying with it."

For Birth Control "Tri-Sprintec was my first birth control. I'm 15, and I'd never had a regular period until this contraceptive. I haven't had any side effects except for breast sensitivity, but even that hasn't been severe. My periods are also shorter, they used to be 6-7 days, but now they are 4. I definitely love this birth control and will be sticking to it for a while."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm 16, almost 17, and I went on this because I had really heavy periods with bad cramps and would pass out regularly. I've been on this for a little over two weeks, and my period hasn't stopped. It was heavy for the first four days, and then it became really light. For the last week, it's almost like spotting, which has never happened to me before. My breasts hurt really badly. I'm not sure if I've gained or lost weight because I started dieting right before I went on the pill. So far, I hate the pill, but it's only been a month. I'm hoping the next months will be better than this one."

For Birth Control "I just want to point out that every girl experiences different things with all types of birth control. About the pill Tri-Sprintec, I've been on it for over a year, and it's been great. I'm 19, and I got on it because my fiancé and I became sexually active. I never had a regular period, and this fixed it right up. It also got rid of my acne. I actually lost weight and went from 115 to 107. I have not gotten pregnant, and I don't have mood swings. I do get a sweet tooth and a salt tooth sometimes. Before I start my period, my breasts get tender, and I get emotional, but once I begin bleeding, both are gone. I do want to say that if you catch yourself craving more food, just get some gum."

For Birth Control "I'm on my fourth month of Tri-Sprintec, and things are looking up!! The first month was definitely pretty torturous, I had a headache pretty much every day, and my breasts hurt so much that it hurt to walk too fast. My period came as scheduled, and I decided to keep on it. The second and third months were a breeze. Breast pain vanished, and my headaches are back to the frequency they were without Tri-Sprintec. This is definitely a pill for people that do not already have mood swings or heavy periods. I have noticed absolutely no changes to my mood, even during my bleeding week, and in general nothing has changed in my day-to-day besides dismissing a birth control alarm every morning. My skin has cleared up and is glowy, but I *think* I have noticed a larger loss in hair, like while washing or brushing it. Otherwise, a very good fit for me, someone who is very chill, never had mood swings, and doesn't have difficult periods. I just had to take away one star for that awful first month!"

For Birth Control "I'm 18, and I've been on this pill for 1 year now, and at first, it was for my irregular periods. It was the first birth control my doctor put me on. In the first week, I noticed my breasts were sore, but it lasted 1 day, and I haven't had it since. My periods were 12 days long and heavy. Now my periods are 5 days, and I hardly notice my cramps. I'm not moody unless I'm PMSing. I've never had any negative side effects. I would recommend this pill to young people who don't have insurance or their first time on a birth control. AND! I have not gotten pregnant."

For Birth Control "I am 18 and have been on this for nearly a year now, and originally started this due to severe period cramps that became unbearable. It makes them less severe, but I still have them, it's bearable now. The only side effect is the breast pain and swelling. I get sore before the placebo week, and my breasts have gone up literally 2 cup sizes. At first it was okay, but now it's annoying. I haven't gained weight, and I think I've lost weight instead, so that's a plus considering the breast increase. For birth control, it works well, just the breast soreness and delayed period on the placebos caused worry for a while, but now I know it's just the pill. Overall, it works good, and I'll continue to take it!"

For Birth Control "I'm 19 and have been on different birth control pills and also shots. I have been on this for about 3 years now, and it has cleared my face nicely only a couple of months after first starting. Downsides: a week or two before my period, I feel nausea and a little dizzy, also, a couple of pimples do show, and I have sore breasts. In the emotional state, I have been on it for a good amount of time, but I feel it only changes my moods close to the times I'm near my period. I do get very depressed randomly, but again, it could just be a personal thing. Upsides: the clear skin overall, also, I know when my period will come every month. I have not gotten pregnant and have been very sexually active for the last 2 years. Don't plan to switch anytime soon."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 5 years now, it's the only one I have ever tried, and I'm sticking to it! It has completely prevented any pregnancies, and I never had one negative side effect. I've never had any mood swings, depression, headaches, nausea, breast soreness, or anything. This drug hasn't affected my personality or body at all. Occasionally, I get mild period cramps, but nothing worse than the norm... you can't escape all the blessings of being a girl!"

For Birth Control "In December of 2018, I was forced to switch from Tri-Nessa to Tri-Sprintec, and I was not happy. I didn't realize that Tri-Nessa was being discontinued until after changing it for a few months. Come February 2019, I started getting terrible breast tenderness for weeks at a time. I mean, terrible. I couldn't even wear a normal lightweight bra or sports bra without them hurting. Acne was consistent as before, but I couldn't handle the breast pain. My husband also noticed that I was more irritable, and I have not wanted to have sex with him in months. I would not recommend this birth control after using Tri-Nessa."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Tri-Cyclen until they switched me over to Tri-Sprintec. At first, I hadn't noticed a difference between the two, but about a few weeks in, I noticed that I started to feel a lot more nauseous. Now that I am about a month into Tri-Sprintec, I've had about all the symptoms in the book. I have had increased negative mood swings, which have put a big damper on my relationship, almost causing me to lose a person I love over dumb, stupid fights, which are caused by me being very irritable throughout the day. Every night this week, I've cried for no reason, and I constantly feel depressed, and my anxiety has been very bad. My boobs are constantly sore, my discharge smells disgusting, I can barely eat, and I'm always angry. Do not use!"

For Birth Control "This is my 6th month on Tri-Sprintec. Overall, it's been a positive experience. The first 2 months, my breasts hurt - they grew another cup size - but after that, there's been no extra tenderness at all. I didn't gain any weight, didn't have any abnormal cravings. Didn't go crazy, no change in libido (still high). My periods were heavier the first 2 months, but then evened out; now they're light and only last 3 to 4 days. I had moderately bad acne around my jawline and cheeks, and it disappeared completely in about a month and a half. It's been effective against pregnancy. Not sure if my regimen made a difference: I started taking the pills the 2nd day of my cycle and I take the pill at noon. Downsides: stiffness in limbs."

For Birth Control "As of today, I have just started my first placebo pill in my first month of Tri-Sprintec. For the first week or two, I noticed increased nausea and breast tenderness, the nausea subsided, but the breast tenderness still lingers (just not as bad). I got on this birth control in June to prevent pregnancy, so far, for the whole preventing pregnancy, it's wonderful. Periods come right on time, and I had no clue of her arrival (no cramps, moodiness, etc.), which I love! Since I've been on it, the past month I have actually lost 16 pounds, and I am quite alright with that. I have decreased appetite, which is also a good thing because before I started birth control, I would eat every chance I got. Overall, this pill is great! You just have to try it out for you!"
