"I started this pill a little less than a year ago, about six months after becoming sexually active. I have never had any problems with this pill. I was on Accutane for almost a year and even it didn't clear my face up as much as Tri-Sprintec has. It has also made my periods perfect, they last 5-6 days and are super light. My weight has not changed at all. I have noticed my sex drive has gone down but it works great for a contraceptive. I stopped using protection (condoms) about 4 months ago and am still baby free! This pill is wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap and effective contraceptive or acne fix."

"Been taking since August of 2014. LOVE IT. Haven't gained any weight but I also work out regularly and eat healthy. Went up one cup size so far and they seem to be getting a little better which I don't hate! My acne has gotten a lot better. But there was about a week when I took it late everyday and I started breaking out bad. Sex is great, body looks good. Just a little more emotional than before too. Great for everyone!"

"I've been on Tri-Sprintec for years and my period is extremely regular and I get it on the same day every month. Acne has always been an issue, but it has definitely lightened up a bit since taking this birth control. If I miss a pill, my body lets me know. I get very nauseous and experience cramping just because I am so (reliant) in a sense, on it. Also, I never had any significant weight change at all while taking it. I also have gone up a cup size too! I've had no trouble with Tri-Sprintec and would recommend it to others."

"I am 28 years old. I have never felt any side effects from any birth control I have ever taken. My Doctor, however, switched me to this one because of the price I assume. Since I began taking it a month ago, I have been extremely emotional, crying when I'm happy, crying when I am sad. My mood swings are having an affect on my relationship, my kids and husband, as I am less patient and more tired. My face is also breaking out, which normally only happens when I am PMSing the week before my period. I called my doctor today to switch me off of this. I am only stating my experience, to reassure others if having the same side effects that it is not you coming down with depression. It is only the pill. "

"I switched to Tri-Sprintec because I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and it was getting too expensive. I was terrified after reading reviews so thought I needed to post mine saying I noticed no change. I've always had blemishes so I don't blame Tri-Sprintec for that. It's not any worse. No bleeding, period the same time and length and flow as before. No moodiness or cramps. My experience (two months so far) is that I feel like I'm still on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, my side effects didn't change at all but I'm saving so much money!"

"I was switched from TriNessa several months ago. I know they are supposed to be the same, but where I had no issues on TriNessa I experienced multiple issues on Tri-Sprintec. I really wish the company had not discontinued TriNessa and all the others. Tri-Sprintec is awful."

"Well I'm an 18 year old teen just trying to be safe and smart, but continue a normal life with little side affects and this pill definitely did that for my twin sister and I. We love it. It's small and easy to swallow. No mood swings, no cramps, no sleepiness, or confusing abnormal bleeding that worries you for days it's wonderful. We both recommend this to whoever is looking for a reliable contraceptive pill."

"I've been on Tri Sprintec for a year now and it's been great. The first month or two the side effects were definitely there. I had mild cramps pretty constantly and my boobs hurt but it wasnt anything debilitating. The worst part was during the first month I was a bit dry down there. But that's all since cleared up. My period has been very constant and never late or early. I didn't gain any weight and my anxiety hasn't elevated at all. This medication has been good to me."

"With every online review you have to take with a grain of salt. Everyones bodies are different. I was prescribed with tri-sprintec when I was 15 and have been using it for the last 5 years. I rarely had any skin problems, besides the monthly pop-ups everyone gets. Stress, food, genetics and physical health are contributors to breaking out too. I didn't gain any weight, I didn't get sick (unless I took it on an empty stomach), and for being sexually active for a few years, with this pill I haven't gotten pregnant. There are several reviews out there that are horrible, but my experience has been a good one. I am sorry for those who experiences otherwise but don't let all the negativity deter you from choosing something that could be good for you."

"This is my third type of birth control pill over the last 4 years. I've gone on and off birth control, mostly because I'm not sexually active very much unless I have a boyfriend. Currently I'm on my 5th packet. Pros: CHEAP! $9 at Wal-Mart No taste Easy to swallow. Periods reduced to 4-5 days when they were lasting 7-8 days before. Cons: Bad nausea and headaches on the first 3 packets. Slight breast tenderness upon resuming a new packet. Usually only lasts for a couple days. Delayed periods. On my old birth control I would get them the next day after stopping a packet but now it takes 3-4 days for it to start. Painful cramps for the first day of period. Overall, I'd recommend it. All types of birth control will give you some of these side effects."

"I love Tri-sprintec! It has regulated my cycle and cleared up my skin. The first couple of months I was a little nauseated when I took it, but that has gone away. This pill helped to balance out my hormones and actually helped me to lose weight. No complaints other than the 1-2 nights of nausea I experience when I start a new pack. Oh, and it's FREE. "

"Please, listen to you doctor and do not read reviews. I was scared to death when I was reading all these horrible reviews. I've been on this pill for a month now and it's been wonderful. Not moody, I feel it has actually made me more relax and layed back. No bloating. Have not gained weight. Take it correctly and take it at the exact time and everyday."

"I am 34 years old. I have 2 children one is 8 and one is 6. I switched to this birth control from Ortho. I got pregnant on this pill. I had to have a abortion because I am not able to have another baby. I was 6 weeks pregnant. I took this pill everyday I never skip one pill. This has put me in a depression and now I can’t get out of it."

"I have been on this pill for about a year now and I just cannot deal with it anymore! I used to be so happy but lately I'm a different person, someone who is not nice. At first I thought just I hadn't gotten used to it yet but as more time has went on I am hateful, severely depressed, nauseated, very tired, and constantly just an unhappy person. It has effected my relationships with everyone and the next chance I get I'm switching to something else. I'm not saying it will do this to everyone but I know it has been awful for me. One thing it had done is what it was supposed to do, it kept me from getting pregnant."

"Trisprintec was the first birth control pill I used. I choose it because I was told it would help with acne. (And obviously as a contraceptive). At first, TriSprintec was good for me, it helped my acne (it didn't completely go away) and my boobs got bigger! And well, I wasn't pregnant. However, after two months I began to notice myself having mood swings. This was so strange for me because I am such a relaxed, chill person. I couldn't ignore that I was moody. Little irrelevant things that happened with my boyfriend would make me very sad/mad and well. I don't think I've ever cried as much as I did when I was on this. It was beginning to interfere with my relationship, so I stopped taking it. This was just me, so it may be different for you."

"I'm about too start on my 3rd month and so far I love it. On my 2nd month I had a little spotting but nothing big. It helped with pimples but they get worse before my period but after I'm over then they are gone. I've had sex many times in the 2nd month without a condom and so far I'm baby free so the birth control does work. It helps my periods and the reason I got on was so I can have a constant one. It helped this 16 year old real good!"

"Been on this pill for 6 months now. Never had any problems like everyone else. I always had trouble with my periods; lasted 8 days, super heavy, sick when I started and bad cramps. Plus my period lasts only 4 days. The only side effects I have is light cramps and not as hungry anymore. I weighed 160lbs and now weigh 147lbs. I love this pill and will continue taking it."

"I have been on this birth control for 3 months now, it seems to be effective. I am baby free & my periods are more regulated now. However, I have noticed that I am hungry ALL the time...all I want to do is snack, and have really intense cravings. I haven't gained any weight because I try to keep that under control, but it is hard. I have also noticed that this birth control has helped with my breast soreness/tenderness before my period. Now they do not hurt nearly as bad whereas before I was in terrible pain so bad that it hurt to put a bra on. Oh and this medication is free. So that's a plus."

"I started Tri-Sprintec a month ago, not by choice but because that was the only thing the health department had in their inventory. The nurse told me it was exactly the same as the other pills. I could definitely tell a difference in myself though just after starting them! My emotions were out of control and I kept going into deep depression mode! My appetite was pretty much gone too so I wasn't eating. A good tip is to keep a journal once you start a new pill so you can keep track of break downs, mood swings and how often they're happening. I had a break down at work, crying in front of my boss and everything. I decided to stop the pill and since then I've felt great. "

"Just like many things, everyone's experience will be different. It is my first time ever taking birth control, my boyfriend and I are very sexually active so I wanted to be safe and get on the pill. We have unprotected sex all the time without him ever having pull out. Despite all the negative reviews, I gave Tri-Sprintec a try. I didn't really notice the "side effects" until the third month in, which is normal. The only negative thing I can say about this pill is that it has increased my appetite. I gained roughly 5-7lbs, I found myself snacking a lot more and just having an appetite all the time. My boobs also grew a bit and they're more tender. As far as acne, I haven't broken out at all on this pill. It works and I'm not experiencing mood swings or anxiety, I take it at 4pm everyday."

"This drug is a life ruiner. I was on Trinessa for a while and doing fine before I randomly got switched to this for no reason. Since starting this drug, I have become nauseous, lightheaded, depressed, constipated, and extremely fatigued. I can only wear loose, flowy clothing or I will get heat flashes and pass out (I'm only 21). I have headaches regularly. Anxiety tics that I worked hard to get rid of years ago are back. I have painful cystic acne that I never had before and I've gained weight. Taking this drug almost made me fail a semester of school and it cost me multiple friendships because I was too fatigued and depressed to leave my room and socialize. My self-confidence is at an all time low. It is not worth it. This drug is cruel."

"I had a baby girl 6 months ago and I started this about 2 months ago and at first was doing great with it, but then after about 2 weeks of taking it have really noticed some not so great changes in me. My chin is constantly breaking out, so it did not help clear up the acne. I have really had some bad mood swings of just feeling really sad and my anxiety has been pretty bad. It has really messed with my sleeping patterns. I also gained about 16 lbs from the time I started taking this pill until now. I wear contacts and it really seems to dry my eyes out and make my vision a little blurry, which I haven't really had much trouble with before. I am seeing my doctor soon and we are planning on switching me to another birth control pill."

"This is my second form of birth control and I absolutely love it! My insurance pays for it, so it does not cost me one penny. When I did pay for it; it was less than ten dollars. I started on the Depo shot and I hated it. I gained 40 pounds on it, and it affected me tremendously. Tri-sprintec hasn't let me down. I have used it for little over two years now. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and we have been baby free. It continues to work for me. I haven't gained any weight. I don't get mood swings. The only difference I have noticed is a little bit more cramping, but nothing major. Cramps have been bearable. If you are looking for a steady birth control, than this could be for you."

"The first year of being on Tri-Sprintec, I did great. The second year has been rough. Bad anxiety, depression, and I'm just so freaking tired all the time, some days it takes everything I can do to just make it through a 8 hour shift an make it back to my bed. I'vee always been a very energetic person until this past year. I also haven't had a sex drive in forever it seems like. And these mood swings I can't even deal with. I've really been struggling the past year. Never really thought that it was the birth control doing all these crazy things to me."

"I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for about 5 months now, for bad cramping. I’d like to say that I am a lesbian, so this is not a contraceptive for me, it was just to alleviate my period pain & heavy bleeding. The first three months were the worst. I gained a little weight, was the most MOODY I’ve ever been, & was sad often. However, once you get past all of that in those 3 months, its a life saver. My period pain has decreased so much that honestly I’ll forget I’m on my period, it’s made them lighter, & shorter. My skin is clearer, the weight I lost from the first 3 months is gone, and I’m not moody anymore. HOWEVER!! It does kill my sex drive almost completely, so if you are worried about that, take it into consideration before trying this birth control."
