"The pro of this pill is it did regulate my period, but that's the only pro. I was on it for 6 months and stopped. It made me sick all the time I gained 15lbs if not more and stay bloated. My mood swings were out of control and I'm a pretty chill person. It may worked great for some but just not for me."

"I knew there was going to be a little nausea at first, and yes, t was bad. But it cleared up after the first week. The next month, it came back worse, and extended into the month past that first week. The third month, my first week I could only lay around and vomit. Pros: my breasts and butt look great, good birth control, regulated period with wayyy less pain. Cons: severe nausea & vomiting, couldn't eat right for months, my normally short periods became long. If you are still dealing with nausea well into the second month, consider changing medications."

"I have been taking Mononessa for about 6 years now. I have had no undesirable side effects. My periods are always on time, there not heavy at all, and last generally 4 days, sometimes 5. I have experienced no nausea, and no cramps. I have acne, but I had acne as a teenager, and then it went away and came back years later, so I don't think the birth control is the culprit. I pay nothing out of pocket, and the one time my insurance did get cut off, it was $28 which I did not feel was completely unreasonable. And most importantly, I have not gotten pregnant since being on it."

"Severe nausea and multiple near-puke experiences. Almost threw up on a kid at my job serving him food, made certain foods sickening to smell or look at. Craved unhealthy foods which I did not partake in, so no weight gain. Did its job to regulate periods, not sure about the pregnancy prevention since my doctor recommended still using condoms for the first month. I liked this one, it sucks that the doctor switched my birth control pills to something else right when I had stopped getting the overbearing, chronic nausea. If you feel nauseous, wait it out. It will pass. Maybe try an anti nausea medication with it until the first month is over."

"I got my prescription from PP after previously using Chateal and having an awful experience so my expectations were not high. However since using Mononessa for 3 months now, I have had the best experience. No weight gain, feelings of depression, or pregnancy. My period is a day longer but all in all it is lighter and less painful. The only negatives I have noticed is that I have small breakouts and cravings."

"I was originally on Lo Loestrin Fe which made me bleed like crazy and once I started this pill it stopped it. PROS: No weird bleeding, normal period. CONS: I feel like I am going crazy. I am an emotional wreck and I am normally a very calm person. I feel like crying every minute and not to mention that but my sex drive is completely gone. Birth control just isn't for me I am going to stick to condoms."

"I was on Trinessa but since it has been discontinued I switched to this. Its working great for acne on my face but I am getting back acne more than usual. The main problem I am experiencing with this birth control is that I am so tired all the time. No matter how much or how little sleep I get I feel like a zombie."

"I read a review before I started taking this that I relate to so much....all I think about is food on this pill! Luckily I haven't had any other side effects, I'm almost done with my first pack. I'm constantly thinking about food, I'm talking 24/7. Even right after I've eaten I'm back to craving salty, fatty foods that I normally didn't crave before this. Worst of all is that I'm craving MEAT. I've been vegetarian for over a year and never craved or thought about meat the entire time until I started this pill....I hope it stops soon because it's disturbing for me."

"I've been on this pill for almost a year now, and this is the only birth control I have ever been on. My period is erratic, and has been 4 days late before. I have insane cravings, and went from having regular light easy periods to long painful ones. The second month out of the three month pack is always the better month, but I am certainly switching. Also lost about 10 pounds, and nothing I've tried works to gain it back. Every body is different though! Good luck on your birth control quest!"

"I agree with Rebecca. So far no pregnancy, and I hope it continues but I have been on the pill for 10 months and my period is still messed up. I've been on it for over a week now. It'll come a week early then a couple days later. I was really moody, but it's gotten better. I was going to switch birth control methods but am very relieved that someone else is having the same problem."

"When I started Mononessa a year ago, the first month I had headaches and cramps, but they went away after 1 cycle. Sometimes I get breakthrough bleeding, but for the last 2 cycles I have not had any breakthrough bleeding. My skin has cleared up with no acne."

"I’ve used this birth control for about a year. I constantly would get my period with a week left of active pills so I always found that odd. I didn’t gain weight but I did get melasma on my upper lip. With the constant getting my periods earlier than expected, I finally switched to something else."

"It has worked incredibly well for me, and I rarely ever get pimples. I have never gotten sick, either and my periods have been manageable. I've been on this for about 5 months now, but one thing is I did gain a ton of weight. It wasn't really a bad thing because I already was incredibly skinny. I started out 100 lb and I'm now 115. But the problem is that all the weight went straight to my stomach. I look incredibly bloated all the time and have to suck in to try and look normal. I have a feeling strenuous workout is necessary to make the pill worth it."

"Mononessa has been great so far , I started with minastrin and then I switched to sprintec. I was experiencing serious weight gain from sprintec and finally made the switch to mononessa. I have experienced breakthrough bleeding but only due to my own irresponsibility . I am rating this 10/10 because my experience without the condom has not resulted in pregnancy. I am starting to have some concerns though. Sometimes I get these very weird headaches , its almost as if I'm dehydrated . I'll drink tons of water but that doesn't seem to help. And this month I have become very irritable and upset over just about anything . My moods are out of control and i just feel so hopeless sometimes."

"This is my first time on any birth control. My doctor originally prescribed Yaz but after reading the reviews I decided I didn't want to try it and asked for Ortho Tri Cyclen. The pharmacy gave me mononessa. The reviews were a bit better so I decided to give it a try. The first day I took it I was nauseas and had chest tightness and a rush of adrenaline for some reason! I don't know what happened but I felt on top of the world! The second day was a bit better and I felt normal. I'm on the third day now and I'm feeling a little nauseas but mostly bloated."

"I have taken and tried many different types of birth control pills and Mononessa had been the absolute worst experience of my life. 1mg of mononess and three days of taking it made me cramp daily and painfully. I thought it would get better but my symptoms contributed to get worse as my period got closer. It got to the point where I could hardly sit up right. A month into it and on my period I had to take days off work because the cramping was distracting and unbearable. It lightened my period but I would rather have a heavy flow than be in that much pain ever again. I recommend Levora for you ladies. Do not go through what I went through. Good luck."

"So I just finished my 2nd month of this birth control. First month was great, had a normal 7 day period but when my second months period came around it never stopped... I've been on my period literally alllll month and still no signs of stopping or slowing down. Its not a normal or light period either. Its a constant HEAVY flow. Changing super size tampons and pass like every hour. And I Am extremely tired. Falling asleep at 6 pm everyday cuz my body is so drained feeling :("

"I began taking Mononesse April 28th 2015. I was admitted to the hospital on June 10th with an arterial blood clot and hundreds of small clots in my right foot. It had cut off ALL blood flow to my foot. The doctors tried everything to get rid of the clots. They got the one in my artery to break up but couldn't get the ones in my foot as some were as small as a hair follicle. June 23rd I was in surgery having a below the knee amputation. I am 33 years old and been an athlete my whole life. So physically I have always been strong, so I expected no problems there. Whew, it is definitely a lot harder than what I expected. It has affected my entire life, as I have had to learn to do everything differently. No person should ever have to go thru it"

"I originally took Mononessa to help regulate my period. Started out great the first 4 months. By month 6th I was starting to have terrible mood swings, loss in appetite, and constantly fatigued. Symptoms of side effects intensifying but didn't realize it was my the birth control pills at the time. Got pregnant and miscarried twice by my 8th month on it. 10 months on it: I couldn't keep any solid foods down, hypertension, high blood pressure, lost the ability to even feel hunger, it conflicted with antibiotics causing muscle spasms and I was officially bed ridden for 6 months. After a year on it, only symptoms I didn't have was heart attack, stroke and death. Every side effect just compounded on itself. Took me 2 whole years to completely recover from the birth control and have my body go back to "normal". One lasting side effect is I still struggle telling when I'm hungry, and it's been 6 years. Only positive, it did actually regulate my period while I was taking it and my periods have been consistent ever since."

"Well, I did not get pregnant. I started this birth control on January 1st of this year and have been on my period ever since. It's now May 4th and I'm still bleeding heavily. It's not even spotting, it's just a full-on period for five months. I have spoken to my doctor multiple times and he said that it should stop but apparently it's not going to do that. On top of this, I have become extremely depressed and stressed out as a result. I just switched to camrese and I do not feel depressed anymore, though still stressed but that could be from the never ending menstruation. Literally the only good thing that has come from mononessa was the avoidance of pregnancy"

"Started this birth control is April 2015. Stopped after a Miscarriage in June 2015. Started back up in Oct 2015. I took it up until last month (Jan 2016) due to a 3 week long period. Doctor recommended me to stop taking it and I continued bleeding. Going on 4 weeks. I'm never in the mood to have sex, which totally sucks. This pill has its ups and downs but over all I would say I was satisfied to not be pregnant again lol but the period it's causing is completely costly and so inconvenient."

"I am a small girl 20 years old I weigh about 115 lbs and since I started 7 days ago all I can think about is food.. I eat allllll the time which isn't necessarily a bad think considering my weight and I wanted to gain a little but I swear food is the single thing on my mind and I don't feel hunger pain at all.. other than that I haven't noticed any other side effects."
