For Birth Control "I took Taytulla for around 8 months and honestly have no idea how I did it for that long. I went from Minastrin to Taytulla due to insurance issues and had the worst transition. I had severe depression, my anxiety was worse than it already is to the point where I would cry all the time, I had insane mood swings, I was always angry, headaches, acne, which I have never had in my life, and I gained weight. The depression was so bad to the point where I was suicidal. After that, I switched back to Minastrin and my life was so much better. Do not take this!!"

For Birth Control "On Taytulla for 3 years and stopped 1.5 months ago. Here were the side effects I was having: little to no period, gained 20 pounds in just 1 year with a total of 40 pounds to date, frequent migraines, constipation, mood swings, agitation. In the 1.5 months that I’ve been off of Taytulla, I have fewer migraines/headaches, have more frequent bowel movements, and my mood is a little more stable. My weight hasn’t changed yet, but I do see a difference in the way I look and feel. Why didn’t I stop sooner? I honestly didn’t put two and two together. I didn’t keep track of the side effects. At the time, not many reviews on this product were out. Everyone is different."

For Birth Control "This birth control is an amazing match for me. I started this pill 4 months ago and was honestly scared - lots of my friends told me about their weight gain, anxiety, and sudden waves of sadness. This pill has had no impact on my emotional state, and I personally have lost 16 pounds (with no lifestyle change). Overall, my periods are really light, I’m happy, and protected! Love this pill."

For Birth Control "My doctor put me on the Taytulla pill at age 45 to alleviate heavy periods. This pill has caused me to gain 80 pounds over the course of three years. I was constantly bloated and had “puffy face.” I eat clean and run 3-6 miles every day. As long as I took this pill, getting the weight off was impossible. Since stopping Taytulla a couple of months ago, I feel so much better, and the weight is starting to come off. Please do not take this pill!!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for almost a year now, and this has been the only one to work for me without any spotting or nausea, etc. I love the gel capsules, they do not make me sick at all. I suffer from migraines but haven't had many since being on this pill. My acne has gone away, and I have picked up a little weight gain that was much needed, as I was only 107 lbs. My breasts have increased a size and a half, and I love that too. As with any birth control, some is not for anyone. If it doesn't work for you, that doesn't mean it's a poor product. Everyone's body is different and will react to medications differently. For me, this was the only birth control that worked for me, and I love it."

For Birth Control "Most people leave reviews only if something is bad, so I figured I'd come to leave a positive review so fewer people are scared to try this birth control. I have only had positive experiences with this BC. I never had bad cramps or long periods before I took the pill, and this pill has kept it that way. I haven't gained weight, I haven't gotten more acne, and my mood hasn't changed. This pill works great for me."

For Birth Control "I have PCOS, and this is easily my 15th BC I have been on since I was 16 (25 now). I have been on it for 5 months, and I'm lucky if I even get spotting. It skips periods, which is not safe to me. I have horrible headaches, some weight gain, breast tenderness, and exhaustion. I am a very active person, typically 4-6 days at the gym, and can't find motivation to do ANYTHING anymore. I have 0 motivation for life. I would stay away from this pill if you're sensitive to birth control side effects. My OB is switching me to OVCON 35, fingers crossed. Any other ladies face issues finding the right BC who have PCOS?"

"I was put on this pill after experiencing an ovarian cyst. I gave the pill time to adjust in my body, but after three months, I still had irregular periods with spotting for up to 10 days in a row in the middle of my cycle-followed by a heavy and painful period two weeks later. I am a very active person and work out 6 days a week, but could not lose weight to save my life on this pill. I probably gained 10-15 pounds since I started taking it 8 months ago. I also have pretty bad hormonal acne, and this did nothing to improve it-it may have even made it worse. I did not notice it totally at the time, but this pill definitely caused me bad moods and depression over the past 8 months. It also caused me to be constantly bloated. Just overall a terrible birth control for me. I just switched to Beyaz, which seems to have better reviews all around."

For Birth Control "This pill is awful! Wish I would have read these reviews before starting. THIS IS ALL TRUE-- depression, anxiety, headaches, nightmares, nausea, weight gain, sore breasts, tired all the time. I've only been on it 3 days (just threw away the pack) and very in touch with my body. I knew immediately that this was the cause of all these negative symptoms. For Birth Control "I have been using Taytulla for just over 6 months. It is by far the best experience I have had so far using birth control. Other birth control left me with a wide range of emotions and random crying. I consulted my OB-GYN, and she recommended Taytulla, which has a lower estrogen level. I feel like a happier person, and my emotions are much more stable! The only side effect I have experienced was weight gain. I live a very active lifestyle and gained about 7 lbs."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla after I had my first child, and it was good for about a month. Then I started gaining a whole bunch of weight, and I didn't know why. I did not eat much junk, and I had a pretty balanced diet, but with all the weight gain, my doc prescribed me a diet pill. It worked, but I never lost more than 10 lb. Now my husband and I are trying to conceive and have been off the pill for 5 months, but I have not had one period, no spotting, nothing. I feel like this pill messed up my ovulation. I don't know if that is even possible, but once I got off the pill, I did lose some weight, but still no period."

For Birth Control "This birth control is absolutely terrible. I was prescribed Lo Loestrin Fe about 6 months back for excruciating cramps, but it did nothing, so I was prescribed Taytulla recently. I cramp almost all the time now, my breasts are tender, I get sharp, stabbing pains in my lower abdomen, uncomfortable back pain, I have severe chest pain (especially at night), and overall, I've just been feeling really down. It's caused me to gain so much weight as well; in fact, I've gained almost 5 pounds this week! The only good thing about this medicine is the fact that it cleared my skin. Everyone has different experiences, though, but mine was awful. I do not recommend this medicine."

For Birth Control "I started this two months ago, and at first, was apprehensive with the great or horrible reviews. People either loved it or hated it. Luckily for me, I am quite fond of it. It has helped my acne and overall skin. I did have slight breast tenderness and growth the first month (from a small B to a large B, sometimes C). Period-wise, my periods are shorter, and cramps aren't as bad, but not nonexistent. I have had slight weight gain (120-124). Overall, I really like this birth control, it has done its job in not getting me pregnant!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control for a couple of months, and it has been an emotional rollercoaster. Shortness of breath, nausea, weight gain, horrible menstrual cramps, periods in between periods. It's been awful. I would not recommend this pill to anyone."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for 3 months now after my pharmacy told me Minastrin 24 is being discontinued. I had a smooth transition from Minastrin to Taytulla, meaning no breakthrough bleeding, but my actual periods have been a lot heavier and my cramps a lot worse on Taytulla. In addition, I've experienced periodic breast tenderness and am sometimes overly sensitive. I have also gained five pounds after starting this pill (105 lbs to 110 lbs). I'm sure no one else can notice the change in weight, but I certainly do when my shorts no longer fit me. I am going to give it one more month and then will consider switching to another generic of Minastrin."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Taytulla for about 8 months now, and let me tell you, it’s been a roller coaster ride. My original birth control I was on, I never had any side effects or anything wrong except for gaining a little bit of weight. The doctor switched my birth control to Taytulla, and it’s literally been the worst thing ever! I am a very happy person, and this pill made me extremely depressed, and also my anxiety went skyrocket and through the roof! I thought I was like this because I went through a breakup after 4 years, but no! After reading the reviews, it all makes sense. I am definitely stopping the pill and do NOT recommend Taytulla to anyone!"

For Birth Control "After being on Loestrin for 10 years, my OB switched me to Taytulla in July, and it’s now mid-October, and I have gained 20 pounds on a near-perfect diet, with weight lifting and cardio 5-6 days a week, with no changes to lifestyle except this awful pill. I’d rather have a period every 2 weeks than feel like this. Also, I have seen changes in my mood and acne, which I haven’t had since I took Accutane 6 years ago. 10 packs of Taytulla are now in the garbage where it belongs."

For Birth Control "This is the 4th birth control I've tried. I get terrible cramps, vomit, headaches, etc. while on my period, and while other pills have alleviated those issues, they had their own side effects (moodiness, anxiety, weight gain, etc.). I got an IUD 8 months ago and cramped every day, PLUS I got terrible cystic acne, so I got that out. I got put on Taytulla immediately after getting my IUD removed. I was super skeptical from all of the bad reviews, but this pill is AWESOME. No change in mood, I've definitely had an increased appetite, but no weight gain, no change in drive, no headaches, no cramps, it cleared my acne, and my breasts went up 1/2 a cup size. Only cons: noticeable breast tenderness, and I have not had a period since taking it. (My gyno said this was normal, and I am not pregnant.) All in all, super happy."

My insurance covered most of the prescription. It still came out to $60 a month. This drug is not worth the money or your time."

For Birth Control "I hated my experience with Taytulla. Two weeks into starting the pills, I was hit with severe depression and anxiety. I gained about 15 lbs, and my face exploded with acne. I have previously never struggled with any of this on other forms of birth control and was shocked when it happened. I have since dropped the medication and feel like my old self again. Be cautious when taking this. It works, but the side effects made it not worth it."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about three months now. It's my first type of birth control I've ever taken, so I have nothing to compare it to. The first two months, symptom-wise, were horrid. I got extreme mood swings, horrid acne (my skin has always been clear), weight gain, and tender breasts. After the two months, however, the symptoms went completely away. I did have irregular periods before, but now they come at the exact time thanks to this pill. That's why I gave it 5 stars."

For Birth Control "I got put on Taytulla because my body is sensitive to hormones. I’ve always had problems being on birth control with bad mood swings and depression. My doctor recommended this to me because it’s a low dose. I’m on my 3rd pack right now. The first month I broke out on my face really bad, but it cleared up on the second pack! It completely stopped my period, I have no PMS symptoms at all! I take my pill every day at the same time. I took a test just to make sure I’m not pregnant! I did gain a few pounds, nothing too major. Other than that, I love this birth control!"

For Birth Control "I’ll start off by saying this pill gave me all the side effects, but at least I didn't get pregnant, which was the point. I’ve gained 17 pounds of weight in the 8 months I’ve been on it. I'm ALWAYS bloated, my anxiety is on 1000, and it’s hard for me to do simple tasks without being overwhelmed by my emotions. Other than the weight gain, anxiety, and extreme mood swings, the pill did what it was supposed to do. Every body reacts differently."
