For Birth Control "I took Taytulla for around 8 months and honestly have no idea how I did it for that long. I went from Minastrin to Taytulla due to insurance issues and had the worst transition. I had severe depression, my anxiety was worse than it already is to the point where I would cry all the time, I had insane mood swings, I was always angry, headaches, acne, which I have never had in my life, and I gained weight. The depression was so bad to the point where I was suicidal. After that, I switched back to Minastrin and my life was so much better. Do not take this!!"

For Birth Control "I have never been on birth control and was always kind of opposed to it, given the horror stories of side effects I had heard of. However, my gyno talked me into trying Taytulla. I was so nervous to try it, especially after reading some of these reviews, but honestly, I am so glad I did. I just finished the first month, and so far the only side effect I've noticed is an increase in appetite. That's it! No nausea, mood changes, headaches, or anything like that. There was one day with some random, very minimal spotting. Right now I'm on my first period since starting Taytulla, and it is drastically a lighter flow, which is really nice. Another perk I've noticed is clearer skin. It has only been one month, so I really hope things continue this way and no worse side effects present themselves. Based on my experience so far, I would definitely recommend it, but it seems it's different for everyone."

For Birth Control "Update: I previously wrote a review for Taytulla that I thought was befitting at the time. So fast forward, I’m 6 months in and I swear I’m starting to have nausea, vomiting, headaches, mood swings, no sex drive whatsoever, and I’ve gained 17 pounds. Now the funny thing about the weight gain is that I follow a strict diet, work out 4 times a week, and walk on average 12 miles a day on my job. I constantly feel bloated, and I’m not doing anything different than I was when I first started them. My doctor said it’s water weight and retention, but carrying around the extra weight is making me feel bad physically, as well as being a mental challenge when I feel like I’m working out and watching what I eat is all in vain. Just know that these symptoms can hit you at any time."

For Birth Control "After reading so many negative reviews, I have decided to come back and update my experience on Taytulla. First and foremost, please, please give your body at least 3 months to cope when starting a new pill. This birth control has been nothing short of amazing. Goodbye, acne. Goodbye, cramps. Period only lasts 2 days, and it's barely enough to have to wear a panty liner. The first few days out of a new pill pack give me very mild headaches, but hey, I'll take that over painful cramps. I have been taking it for just over 4 months now, and Taytulla has changed my life for the better!"

For Birth Control "Typically, only people with negative reviews leave comments...however, I’ve been taking Taytulla for about 3 months now, and it’s been great. No breakouts, no headaches, no weight gain or food cravings. I have actually lost weight while on this pill. So far, so good."

For Birth Control "I was given Taytulla after using Minastrin 24 for a year (which worked great). After taking it for a few months, my anxiety (which I had before taking it but was under control) became so much worse, and I began having panic attacks every day, and I actually became depressed despite having no history of it. These issues, along with extreme mood swings/irritability, frequent headaches, fatigue, and lack of motivation to do anything (despite being a motivated person before), caused me to switch back to Minastrin, even though I had to pay more because my insurance doesn't cover it. To me, paying extra is way better than having to go on this pill again, which I would not recommend to anyone, especially those who have anxiety/depression to begin with."

For Birth Control "I have PCOS, and this is easily my 15th BC I have been on since I was 16 (25 now). I have been on it for 5 months, and I'm lucky if I even get spotting. It skips periods, which is not safe to me. I have horrible headaches, some weight gain, breast tenderness, and exhaustion. I am a very active person, typically 4-6 days at the gym, and can't find motivation to do ANYTHING anymore. I have 0 motivation for life. I would stay away from this pill if you're sensitive to birth control side effects. My OB is switching me to OVCON 35, fingers crossed. Any other ladies face issues finding the right BC who have PCOS?"

For Birth Control "First birth control medicine and the worst thing ever. Went on to regulate periods. That was the only issue I ever had. Now, after being on it for 7 months, here is what’s happening: increased heart rate, headaches, anxiety, and constant breakthrough bleeding for 10+ days a month on top of the actual period I get. Called the doctor, and they just keep telling me it takes a while for your body to adjust to birth control. That is ridiculous since it has already been 7 months. Hoping to either get new medicine or I will be done with birth control pills for good."

For Birth Control "This pill is awful! Wish I would have read these reviews before starting. THIS IS ALL TRUE-- depression, anxiety, headaches, nightmares, nausea, weight gain, sore breasts, tired all the time. I've only been on it 3 days (just threw away the pack) and very in touch with my body. I knew immediately that this was the cause of all these negative symptoms. I will NEVER ingest this pill again!"

For Birth Control "At first, I was pretty hesitant to try Taytulla after all the horrific reviews I read. But I figured I would give it a shot. I tried Seasonique for over a year, I would get a lot of clotting while on that pill and gained about 25 pounds. I was also getting a lot of hormonal acne, so I decided to switch to Trinessa. Five months of Trinessa, my period was all out of whack, my acne was worsening, and I had terrible mood swings, which was not ideal. I switched to Taytulla after two months of this new birth control, my first period was very light, no headaches, my coworkers say I'm happier, and no cramps. I feel everyone's body is different, so hopefully, others don't think all the bad reviews will happen to them and that they try for themselves. Also, my insurance covered it at 100%."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla for 3 months and finished my last pack 2 weeks ago. The past 3 months I... have had shorter cycles but spotting in between cycles each month, so shorter cycles mean nothing to me if I’m just going to spot all month. increase in headaches, NO SEX DRIVE, like at all! This is NOT normal! Especially for us newlyweds who waited."

For Birth Control "I am a first-time birth control user, and I wanted a more natural pill. I have been taking Taytulla for almost a year now. The only symptoms I noticed after I first started were occasional nausea, headaches, and random spotting. Now I don't notice any side symptoms, and I don't have a period unless I don't take Taytulla for a week. Even after missing a week, I didn't experience any side effects again. Just that my painful period came back. I'm not entirely sure that this birth control doesn't affect my emotions/moods because I have had a life-changing year. All in all, I love not having painful cramps or periods anymore and feel safe."

For Birth Control "I was almost too scared to try Taytulla after reading the horrific reviews, but I’m on month three and Taytulla has been working WONDERS!! I switched from a very high dosage birth control, and I was really scared my body would go whacky on this. My only side effects have been acne and more frequent headaches around the time of my bleed within the first two months, but it’s gotten so much better. My periods are really light and painless. My mood is so much more stable, my anxiety has decreased, I feel a lot more full of life and energy! This pill is the one for me. Everyone’s body responds to these medications differently, so don’t let bad reviews scare you away from giving this pill a try. So far, it has worked wonderfully for me!"

For Birth Control "For the girls thinking about starting Taytulla and reading the reviews from people who stopped it too soon. (with reason, of course - health first) I stayed on it for my body to adjust and didn't stop a few weeks or months in because of side effects. Yes, you're going to get side effects, you're messing with your body's hormones, expect them. For the first few 2-3 months, I got headaches constantly, almost zero appetite, and my anxiety had hit panic levels, paranoia, and light mood swings, on the side of crying more. But after the side effects wore off, it's perfect. I never gained weight, (had acne as I did before) no cramping, light periods, I went up a cup size, and not pregnant. Personal warnings: I will warn about coffee and caffeine, one of the side effects is a type of sensory overload when mixed with caffeine. I switched to decaf as I drink coffee for taste. Read what interacts with Taytulla, types of teas, and detox. Side effects with medicine, vitamins, and herbal supplements."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever used. I used Taytulla for 5 months. At first, my skin cleared up, my periods were light, and my hormones were under control. Then I had migraines, constant headaches, nausea, and my hormones changed. I had really dark thoughts, depression, anxiety, and severe mood swings. Sex drive went way down. Then really painful sex. I did research on Taytulla and saw similar experiences. After 5 months of taking it, I stopped, and my symptoms improved days after stopping. Except painful sex. I went to my OB/GYN and was diagnosed with lichen sclerosus. This is an autoimmune disease that can be triggered later in life and can be triggered by high levels of hormones. There is no cure and only treatments that can be used to help reduce the pain while having sex. DO NOT USE Taytulla. Get your partner to use condoms. Women shouldn’t deal with this. My husband now wears condoms, and I will never use birth control ever again in my life."

For Birth Control "This is the 4th birth control I've tried. I get terrible cramps, vomit, headaches, etc. while on my period, and while other pills have alleviated those issues, they had their own side effects (moodiness, anxiety, weight gain, etc.). I got an IUD 8 months ago and cramped every day, PLUS I got terrible cystic acne, so I got that out. I got put on Taytulla immediately after getting my IUD removed. I was super skeptical from all of the bad reviews, but this pill is AWESOME. No change in mood, I've definitely had an increased appetite, but no weight gain, no change in drive, no headaches, no cramps, it cleared my acne, and my breasts went up 1/2 a cup size. Only cons: noticeable breast tenderness, and I have not had a period since taking it. (My gyno said this was normal, and I am not pregnant.) All in all, super happy."

For Birth Control "My side effects on Taytulla are depression, uncontrollable emotional swings, irritable, weight gain, random periods, headaches, appetite change, cramps, weird discharge, and fatigue. My insurance covered most of the prescription. It still came out to $60 a month. This drug is not worth the money or your time."

For Birth Control "I started taking Taytulla 2 weeks ago to help prevent more ovarian cysts from popping up. There is not one thing I've liked about this pill. I get terrible headaches and nausea almost constantly, I've broken out in acne all over my face. I have been suffering with terrible depression, anxiety, lack of interest in anything, and fatigue. I forgot to take it one night, and the next morning I woke up with super heavy bleeding. I know the body will react when starting any new medicine, but this is miserable. Would not recommend, ladies!"

For Birth Control "So, I started Taytulla, and at first I was skeptical. I was so scared from the reviews, but I have to say (even though I've been on it for a little over a week) that this pill has so far been pretty good. I do have some stomach pain at certain times that is a little weird, but I can handle that. I do not really have nausea, and my anxiety has actually been better, I also sleep better. However, I must say, and this is in no way a bad thing, my sex drive has been through the roof. But I have also noticed that I have been hungrier. Food tastes even better than usual, but I can control myself with that. I have a little bit of a headache sometimes, but not very often, and they aren't bad headaches either. So far, I really like this birth control! I would definitely recommend!"

For Birth Control "I was on Taytulla for 3 weeks and stopped. I had a lot of hair loss, and it started my period after I just had my period and still hasn't stopped. I also had a constant headache. I was super tired my last few days on this pill before I gave up on this. Not sure about mood, but who would be happy with all these side effects? I'm happy I stopped taking this :)"

For Birth Control "I was taking Marlissa birth control pill for 4 years before it started giving me headaches. My doctor prescribed me this instead. It’s been almost a year, and my cramps came back worse than ever before. I’ve been having tons of anxiety, which I now know is a side effect after reading these reviews. I’ve been spotting with cramps in between periods, bad enough to bleed through my underwear during a workout. I asked to go back on my old pill."

For Birth Control "I have tried every form of birth control, with the exception of an IUD, and I find this pill to be the most successful one by far. It took my body just two months to properly adjust to the timing of the active pills. I've been on this now going on 5 months, and I couldn't be happier. My period lasts between 2-4 days, my cramps are very light. I do not get any negative side effects like some people have mentioned, I get less acne during my ovulation period, and my headaches have gone away. My bf and I have unprotected sex around 3 times a day, and so far, so good! I can't say that everyone will benefit the same as I have, but if there were a BC that I could recommend to anyone, it would be this one."

For Birth Control "After years of Mirena, I switched to this pill. I had been on the pill when I was younger and had mild side effects initially, but this pill is the worst. I've been taking it for almost 2 months and have missed 3 days of work from being so sick. I've actually lost weight from the constant nauseousness and occasional vomiting. Also, headaches, boobs hurt, mood swings, no energy, little sex drive. I finally called my doctor and we're switching to another pill. Based on other reviews, it sounds like my experience is not uncommon. My boyfriend finally convinced me to get off this pill and said he just wants his girlfriend back."

For Birth Control "I thought my body would hate this because of all the bad reviews I’ve read, but I’m on my second pack now and it has cleared up my acne and no weight gain. The biggest side effect I noticed is that it gave me a mild headache almost every day, but I’ve always been prone to migraines. The only other bad thing I have to say about it is that it made me spot for a week leading up to my period. I used to have extremely heavy periods, but my period now is very light and lasted only a couple of days. I would recommend giving this birth control a try because you never know how it’s going to affect you. And remember, all birth controls are going to come with some side effects."

For Birth Control "I had to switch from Minastrin 24 FE to Taytulla last month. Minastrin 24 FE is not covered by my insurance anymore. Taytulla is not either, however, there is a coupon that drops the price tremendously. Taytulla is the 'bioequivalent' of Loestrin 24 FE. I used to take Loestrin 24 FE before they discontinued it, so I felt a bit better about Taytulla, as Loestrin 24 FE worked wonders for me. I have been on Taytulla for less than a month. My first week, I experienced headaches, not sure if it was stress from work or the pill or both, but they eventually subsided. My breasts have been tender, but nothing crazy or painful. I'm starting on the pill where I will get my period, so I will update at a later time and let you all know how that goes."
