For Birth Control "I started Taytulla to treat my acne and severe period cramps. I have been taking it for a month now, and it has helped so much. I no longer get any cramps, and my acne is getting much better. The only bad things about it are that it has caused me to gain weight, gassiness, and breast tenderness. But I would still recommend!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Taytulla in March. The first few months were okay, I noticed a slight change in my behavior, but I bounced back from that. It’s now late August, and I’ve gained 8 pounds. It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s noticeable to me. I used to never gain any weight, I would eat whatever I wanted and be totally fine. I’m eating healthier than ever, and if I eat a full 3 meals in a day, I will gain 4 lbs by the end of the day, and if I continue that the next day, my weight only increases from there. I work out and stay active, but nothing helps. The only way to maintain my weight now is by eating way less than I normally would, which is obviously not healthy. I’m stopping it in a few days once I finish my sugar pills, and hopefully my weight will go back to normal soon. It’s not the same for everyone, but Taytulla was not for me, the only upside I experienced was the regular periods, which I could do without."

For Birth Control "This would be my third time reviewing. I am a happy camper. I've been on this pill just shy of a year. Despite all of these negative reviews, I can personally say that this pill has done nothing but amazing for me. It prevents pregnancy, cleared my acne that I struggled with for years. Very light periods with barely any breakthrough bleeding. No mood swings or anxiety. My weight has stayed the same. My appetite has increased, but no weight gain. And I struggled with terrible cramps since being a teen, and with this pill, I have mild to no cramps at all during the placebo week. Before going off of all these negative reviews, give it a try. It's worked for me. Everyone's body is different."

For Birth Control "In the last 3 months, while taking this pill, I have gained weight (my mom keeps asking me why I look pregnant...I'm also 21 years old), my acne came back after years of clear skin, my depression and anxiety exploded out of nowhere (my therapist hasn't seen me in months because I was doing so well), I am overly emotional and cry for hours over nothing (and my doctor wanted me to go on this pill to reduce this, whoops), and the comments on this page make so much sense to why this is happening to me. It sounds like half of the people on this pill do really well or REALLY badly. When I told my doctor about my mood swings, she told me to try another pill, which gave me an allergic reaction and, even after the steroid shot, I'm still in a constant wave of slight discomfort. It might be from this pill, not too sure. I am getting off this pill at the end of my cycle, and I'll either try something new or not go on at all because I am sick of this constant battle with myself."

For Birth Control "Reading so many BC reviews, I was terrified of starting it. From the mood swings, gaining weight, horrible cramps. I'm already a temperamental person, so I did not need something to elevate that. So far, I have been on Taytulla for 1 month, and the first 2 weeks were great. No nausea, no headaches, NOTHING. Week 3, I had NO desire to have sex. Taytulla was certainly doing its job! I don't know if it was the stress of work/school, or I no longer wanted to be with that person, or if I didn't find them attractive anymore, or if it was just the pill overall. I did not experience any anxiousness or depression. Everything is back to normal right now. In regard to cost, apparently my insurance didn't cover it, BUT my doctor did give me a sample, and with that sample came a little savings card, registered online and got 3 months for $25. I had an activation code, but you can go to their website, and it gives you the same information to sign up. So far, I'm a happy camper with this pill."

For Birth Control "45 yrs old, Dr. recommended Taytulla to lessen heavy periods. I’m a runner, and it is extremely important that I continue being active, yet my heavy cycle was a HUGE problem! I’m finishing my 3rd month on Taytulla and decided today I’m done with it!!! Side effects: Gained 10 pounds, absolute exhaustion, lost interest in being active, and became slightly depressed. Also lost ALL libido!!"

For Birth Control "Worst pill ever. Taken it for the past 5 months - causes weight gain and depression, but the worst thing is that I am bleeding CONSTANTLY. I will literally bleed 22 days of the month and spot for another 6. I'm about ready to tear my uterus out."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Taytulla after having an ectopic pregnancy. My doctor told me that I needed to wait 90 days before trying again. So the first package of Taytulla that I took, I had no complaints. I'm on my second package, and I've had nonstop nausea, it's so bad I want to go to the hospital. Then I read reviews where women were gaining weight and having mood swings. Those things are now accurate for me. And I'm upset because I lost 100 pounds, so to turn around and gain 17 pounds is very discouraging. My poor husband has been the target of my mood swings. I would like to wait to try for another baby, but I am done as of today taking this birth control pill."

For Birth Control "Positive: I never once got pregnant while on Taytulla, and my period that used to be 8-9 days went down to 4 days! I have huge ovarian cysts that were blocking blood flow to my left ovary, which in turn caused me to have my period once every other month or so. After many years, I was happy that for once I wasn't in pain and that everything was finally consistent. Cons: It takes about a month or so to get used to the hormones. My stomach every night felt ice cold, and in the morning I was so nauseated. Once that went away, I noticed I gained about 5 lbs. Asked doc, and he said it should go away... Here I am about a year later and have gone from 130 lb to 175 lb. And let's not even mention not even two months into taking this OC, I have had a severe yeast infection on and off for the last 7-8 months or so. Overall, between the physical symptoms and the fact that it has made my depression more severe (diagnosed with MDD about 10 years ago), I am calling it quits. I am barely 23, I want to enjoy being a young woman."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I've ever been on! My acne is terrible, and I've gained 10 lbs since first taking it on December 1, and it's only January 12. I have had terrible anxiety and some bouts with depressing thoughts! I got on to stop my bleeding, but it's only increased! My boobs hurt, and I'm done taking it! I got my tubes tied 3 years ago, it's highly ineffective for me!"

For Birth Control "Our insurance carrier stopped covering the brand we usually have, so I have to change pills. That said, this pill worked for preventing pregnancy (awesome!), but did have some side effects. 1. Breast size increase—about 1 1/2 cup size. 2. I am pretty slim and gained about 5-7 extra pounds in hips/bum/tummy in 6 months. 3. Moodiness—now I have read about others' depression and anxiety issues and often wonder if maybe they were present before in the person, etc. I was not, but just felt way more triggered by things, if that makes sense. 4. Hormonal acne really bad around the 6th-7th pack. Huge bummer... ready to switch at this point. Would I take it again? Probably not. There are many pills out there to try if one isn't the best for you. Give it time and listen to your body."

For Birth Control "I was on Taytulla for a little over a month, and I would have kept taking it, but I developed the side effect of a DVT!! I would have kept taking this medication had I not, but after getting this diagnosis, I am not touching any form of birth control pill ever again! Some of the other reviews mentioned weight gain, hair loss, and anxiety/depression, but I never experienced these, could be because I wasn’t on it for too long. It actually did seem to help with my anxiety, though. I did experience some spotting and cramping, but I have been experiencing menstrual issues prior to the pill, so this was no big deal for me. I would have rated this higher because it worked pretty well, but for the fact that I could have died, I wouldn’t recommend. This, however, should be taken with a grain of salt because everyone’s body is different and is going to react differently!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Yaz for years but changed over to Taytulla 2 months ago after moving to the USA and needing a bit more progesterone than Yaz offered. I definitely found myself eating a bit more in the first few weeks, and I put on a couple of pounds, but I've got that back under control now, 8 weeks later. I also find that the week of ovulation I am a bit more short-tempered with my kids, nothing too serious. Yes, the first 6 weeks my mood was somewhat different, but that can be expected as you are changing the hormone levels in your body. Give it 2 months, and if you are still unhappy, then stop. I'm about to order my first prescription after using the 2 free sample packs."

For Birth Control "I kept switching BC pills because I always had negative side effects like constant bleeding, weight gain, acne, mood swings, etc. I’ve been taking Taytulla for almost a year now, and it’s great. I have monthly periods that only last 2-3 days and are VERY light. The only side effects for me are tender, larger breasts (which I don’t mind) and a slight hormone belly."

For Birth Control "This is my first time ever taking BC, and I was prescribed Taytulla. It's been about a week, and I haven't had any side effects. No headaches, no weight gain, no feelings of depression or anxiety, and no nausea. It's still early, but so far it works well. I was scared to try it because of the reviews, but just give it a chance."

For Birth Control "Prescribed by my doc to minimize bleeding due to fibroids. I’m on my second pack and still unsure because I bleed every day. Some days it’s heavy, but most days it’s not. I’m only staying on it for now because no hair loss, no cramps, no headache. I put on some weight, but I lose easily, so not too concerned. I’m taking with iron supplement for now, but can’t continue with daily spotting and bleeding until menopause. I’m on the fence recommending this, but I guess it’s a matter of your problem and what works. I honestly prefer minimal bleeding and some hair on my head."

For Birth Control "I wrote a decent review for Taytulla previously, but would retract it if I could. Since then I’ve experienced bloating, water retention, weight gain, joints aching from wrists to knees and ankles, muscle weakness, fatigue, and have noticed feelings of depression and anxiety. Rarely dealt with any of those before I started taking Taytulla. I feel terrible. Exercising has become grueling. At this point, I’m also suspecting DVT due to some strange tender spots that I’m getting an ultrasound for soon. I came here to make a decision whether to try this Rx or not and read the reviews carefully. Don’t take Taytulla. It’s not a good option. Choose something else."

For Birth Control "I started taking birth control about a year ago and got prescribed Sprintec. I had no symptoms other than a 6-7 day period when they were 3-4 days before starting the pill. I told my OBGYN this after taking Sprintec for 10 months, and she thought it would be best to try another pill, that’s when she prescribed Taytulla. I would 100% not recommend this birth control to anyone. I have been on Taytulla for 4 months now, and every month I will start bleeding a week after taking my placebo pills and continue to bleed until I reach the next set of placebo pills. For the last 3 months, I have had 3-week periods and then 1 week off. I have also noticed extreme weight gain in these four months and am constantly bloated, along with daily headaches. I am switching back to Sprintec and NEVER taking Taytulla again."

For Birth Control "I was on Taytulla for two years and stopped a month ago. The first side effect was depression. It wasn’t severe, and it balanced out within 2 months. My moods were stable and my period lightened up, although it never stopped (I didn’t have a very heavy flow to begin with). I gained 20 pounds, and my libido suffered. Despite the minor side effects, I would’ve continued with this pill had it not been for the headaches. I had never had a migraine before starting Taytulla. I then had an ocular migraine, but my doctor said it was unrelated to the pill. After that, I began to suffer from headaches 2-3 times a week and a migraine several times a month. I have not had one headache since I stopped this medication. If strokes or complex migraines run in your family or if you suffer from them already, I do NOT recommend this pill. I have read other reviews where other users began to have headaches as well, even though headaches are not a side effect listed for this medication."

For Birth Control "This was my first time on birth control, and I had an awful experience. My acne came back, and I had awful, awful mood swings. Also, my migraines got worse when I just fixed them. Another thing, I gained 5 pounds in a month from this. Highly don’t recommend!!"

For Birth Control "Horrible! I have gained almost 10 lbs in two months of being on Taytulla. Heavier periods and cramps as well. I am waiting to finish this pack before I stop, and I really hope this weight will come off as fast as it went on."

For Birth Control "My doctor switched me to this pill to try to relieve perimenopausal symptoms by giving me more estrogen. While I don't have night sweats anymore, that gives it a 2 rating. But my periods are extremely painful, and mid-cycle I get extreme cramps too, with spotting. I also immediately gained 5+ lbs. It's been almost 6 months, and this is the worst!"

For Birth Control "I have been on several birth control pills as well as Depo, and Taytulla is the best! I’ve been on it for about 7 months now. No breakthrough bleeding, weight gain, and super light periods that only last a day or two. I previously suffered from intense cramping, mood swings, weight gain, and acne, but not with this birth control. There’s definitely breast tenderness and growth, but I’m okay with that. Not every birth control is for everyone but definitely worth a try."

For Birth Control "I've only been taking this since November of last year, so about 3 months. The first month was rough and I got my period lighter. The second month I noticed a slight weight gain and bloating, with a plus side of my acne clearing and my period was even lighter. Yes, I have anxiety even before the pill. Has it made it worse? I thought so at first, but I don't think so. The first 3 months is your body getting used to things. The bloating went down, and so far no period. My mood swings are normal and my anxiety went back to being occasional. Then again, I take my pill in the morning if that makes a difference. :)"

For Birth Control "I didn’t experience one good thing with this medicine. I have never had a problem with acne until I started this pill. It was uncontrollable. I gained 11 pounds in 3 months, even with being extra cautious with what I was eating. I slowly started slipping into depression and having really bad anxiety attacks. I was extremely nauseated at the beginning. My heart rate was always extremely fast. I cried ALL the time. There is not a single good thing about this pill!"
