For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for about 2 weeks. I had Nexplanon, which I loved but caused ovarian cysts, so I had to get it removed. Since getting Nexplanon removed, I haven't had a period, so they put me on Taytulla to try and get my body back into the rhythm of things. Ever since taking this BC, I have had headaches, extreme nausea, double vision, depression, anxiety, terrible cramps, and I got a yeast infection, which turned into a bacterial infection, I am breaking out like crazy. I called my OB today to see if they couldn't send in another birth control to my pharmacy. They told me basically to suck it up, and after 3 MONTHS, the side effects would diminish. Needless to say, I quit taking it 2 days ago and still have side effects, please take with caution!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this drug for about 2 months. I am finishing up this pill pack and then getting off of it. The first week I took it, I was constantly nauseous and also very emotional and irritable. That started to lessen over the weeks until I took the second pack and the same thing happened. I am on my last week of the second pack and the nausea is back in full force. There are several foods I can no longer stomach. I also have gotten very bloated, have painful pimples from this medication, and have a lot of vaginal dryness, which is very uncomfortable and makes intercourse painful. As someone who has suffered from depression for most of my life, I have begun to feel sad and tired for no reason. I am constantly hungry and nauseated at the same time. While the pill seems to be doing its main job of preventing pregnancy and I understand it takes the body time to adjust, this has just been way too much for my body. I cannot wait to get off this and feel like myself again."

For Birth Control "I have had the opposite effect than all of these bad reviews. I normally have terrible anxiety and mild depression, but while on this pill, I have noticed only mild anxiety and zero depression. My skin has been clear, I’m craving less, my periods are short and light. I’ve had a great experience with it!"

For Birth Control "Taytulla had some great physical benefits in that it made my skin nice and cleared up my breakouts. It also made my boobs grow, and I gained a little weight. However, it made my depression worse and drastically decreased my libido. Ever since I started taking Taytulla, I have had absolutely no sex drive whatsoever. Needless to say, I am switching to a different BC pill."

For Birth Control "This pill ruined my life. For the first three days of taking it, I felt unbelievably awesome. I had a lot of energy and I felt generally happy. Around the 5th day of taking this, I started to feel off but continued to take it. A few more days passed and I began to feel extremely emotional, could not stop crying, and started having severe anxiety and depression that interfered with my daily life. I would lay around and cry all day, every day. I had no motivation to do anything and felt trapped in my own mind. Aside from the emotional side effects, I completely lost my appetite, had severe cramps, extreme nausea, and abnormal bleeding, which went on for 16 straight days. I stopped taking the pill after 16 days. I've been off the pill for 4 days now and I have yet to get my appetite back, but my mental state is finally starting to improve again. This pill ruined my life and strained my relationship. Thanks a lot, Taytulla, you suck."

For Birth Control "I had only been taking this for about a week, and I realize stuff like this usually takes a couple of weeks to kick in or take into effect, but I had to stop taking it immediately. I have never felt so depressed in my entire life than I have after taking this. I wake up crying and go to sleep crying, and I feel like an entirely different person. I felt super nauseous and dizzy as well. Definitely not for me."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. I have bad constant cramps and terrible mood swings. I have never been so anxious and depressed in my whole life. My boobs are constantly sore, and my mood swings are ruining my relationships with those around me. I haven’t felt like myself since I started taking this pill. It also made me anemic. Never take this pill."

For Birth Control "This birth control made me severely depressed off the bat, but being my first go, I decided to wait it out. About 2 weeks in, I started bleeding and had awful cramps. Never had cramps before, and migraines started. I was crying and having panic attacks all the time and hated myself on it most of the time. Still, I tried to push through. But then, after bleeding for 3 weeks straight and beginning to get cystic acne on my face, I am quitting this pill. I know a lot of people that bled nonstop on this pill. I know everyone is different, but do not use this pill if you've never had BC before. Gonna be using Lo Loestrin. Hope it's better."

For Birth Control "This birth control gave me severe anxiety and depression. I never had either, and after 4 months of taking this pill, I got diagnosed as clinically depressed. I was dissociating and had memory/concentration problems, chest tightness, shortness of breath, stomach discomfort, and headaches. I never missed a pill, and I took it precisely on time every single day, but I still reacted terribly. I have been off this pill since August 2017, and it took a few months for me to feel like myself again. I do not recommend Taytulla to any person who already has symptoms of depression and/or anxiety. (Background info: I have been a vegetarian for 10 years, so I'm not sure if that had any impact on how this pill affected me, but if you follow that lifestyle, you may want to communicate it to your doctor.) On the other hand, it cleared my acne after 3 months (the first 2 months of taking it, my skin was terrible and broken out), and it did shorten my period to about 4 days."

For Birth Control "I just switched to Taytulla after being on Tri Femynor, which was an absolute nightmare, so I thought nothing could be worse than that. However, I was wrong. I only took it for one day and immediately had to come off. I was throwing up all night long, ridden with anxiety, and had extreme depressing thoughts. I had to take myself off as soon as possible because I knew I couldn't endure this until symptoms died down. I definitely do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this pill. I am back on Lo Lo Estrin Fe with no issues. Taytulla gave me severe anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, which I had never had before. It stopped almost immediately after I ceased taking it."

For Birth Control "I was put on Taytulla about 5 or 6 months ago after switching from less than 3 weeks on Kariva (which made me feel insane, depressed, and was having harmful thoughts). Taytulla was an easy switch! I felt like myself again, my skin cleared, I had absolutely no adverse reactions and no cramping. Without birth control pills, I am incredibly moody and suffer from PMDD, heavy flow, debilitating cramps, and irregular cycles. I loved Taytulla until 4 weeks ago, when my hair started falling, my skin was breaking out, and I was battling insomnia. Inactive pills come around and my period is the heaviest it’s ever been on birth control: just last month I had a single period day, and now I’m 3 days into another pack of Taytulla AND STILL BLEEDING!!! Calling my gyno today to switch. I’m on BC more for hormone regulation to control PMDD and severe cramping and irregularity than I am for actual birth control, and if it doesn’t do its job after a while, what’s the point?"

"Like someone said below, one star is too good for this garbage in pill form. I’ve been on it for almost 2 months and have finally had enough. I’m 25 years old and never had acne in my life until I started taking this. My gyno put me on Taytulla to regulate my period. I am still spotting, and my period is still irregular (I know I have to wait 3 months to regulate). But I would rather have a period every two weeks than take this. I have a terrible yeast infection (taking Taytulla can increase your chances of developing vaginal infections), NO energy whatsoever, depressed, bloated, migraines (which I also never had before taking Taytulla). I’m stopping because I would rather bleed than take this awful medicine."

For Birth Control "When I first started Taytulla, I had side effects right away. My emotional level and anxiety were through the roof. My doctor said that it was my body getting used to it and to give it a chance. After the first month on this pill, I have aura migraines three times a week. My depression and anxiety were worse than they were the first month, and my energy level was at a 0. After being off it for a while, all the symptoms went away. I would never recommend this to ANYONE, especially people who have chronic migraines or have aura migraines."

For Birth Control "With Taytulla, I had breakthrough bleeding on top of the period I already have. Severe anxiety and depression. I cry at every little thing. I have to finish this pack, and then I'm switching to something else. I can't wait. I guess the only good thing it did was prevent me from getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Taytulla for about half a year. The first few months were wonderful: no heavy bleeding, no cramps, no prolonged period, etc. Within 3 months, I stopped having periods. I went 3-4 months without a period, and then BOOM, I had a 3-week-long period that made me depressed, cramp terribly, and cry myself to sleep. I’m sure my body got used to this medicine. But I’m going to the doctor to get a new BC ASAP. I wouldn’t not recommend Taytulla if you have depression or anxiety, or if your body gets used to “low” BC."

For Birth Control "Worst birth control I’ve ever been on, and that says a lot considering the Depo shot completely screwed up my hormones. I started Taytulla to regulate my periods, and my entire body is broken out in hives. Not to mention the stupid mood swings and depression."

For Birth Control "Taytulla was an awful experience for me. I gained 10 pounds and was never able to get it off. Horrible and painful acne, it made me super depressed and tender breasts. Other than that, it did its job making my period shorter, but overall would NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "This drug made me psycho. It affected my relationship, which was really hard. It doesn’t give me tons of little zits, but a couple of large ones that take over my face that I have never really gotten before. If you don’t take it around the same time every day, you spot (at least for me, I did). But I think overall the worst part was how it made me feel. I’m sure it did its job, but I have always been an upbeat, happy person! This made me feel depression and anxiety, which was new to me. I just sob for no reason. My therapy was a hot bath. Works every time."

For Birth Control "This is the fourth birth control I’ve been on, and I do not recommend this to anyone. While taking this BC, I started to get extremely bloated, nauseous, had constant migraines, and I was extremely emotional about everything. I also caught myself slipping into a depression, I had high anxiety and lacked all motivation. I have zero history of depression and anxiety, so I really didn’t know how this felt. I have naturally low blood pressure, and I would wake up or go throughout the day, and my blood pressure would skyrocket. I truly have nothing positive to say about this BC. Look into other BCs if you’re going to get onto one or onto a new one."

For Birth Control "Not sure it helped with endometriosis symptoms, but I can say this. I had used it for at least 4 months. I have noticed my thyroid problems have improved fairly well; on the other hand, I'm super moody and depressed (which has decreased some over the month, but still a problem). 2nd, I'm a super regular person with my periods, and my period has gone away already twice and still gives me some PMS symptoms, which sucks because they actually last for weeks on and off."

For Birth Control "I was put on Taytulla in order for my menstrual cycle to shorten and mainly for my cramps to get better. My cramps got so bad, to the point I had to miss school every cycle for the first 2-3 days. My cycles would also last 8-10 days. The first two months I was on Taytulla, my cramps got even worse, but my cycle was only 5 days. For me, it just wasn’t worth it. I would also have terrible mood swings and depression. I hope others will have a better experience with the brand and not suffer like I did."

For Birth Control "This medicine makes me feel horrible. I get horrible depression and anxiety, sometimes I cry for no reason. Mood swings are horrible and are affecting my relationship. I don’t want to do anything other than be in bed and cry. Cramps are horrible, I get really bad migraines and loss of appetite. For me, it's been the worst experience ever. I gained some weight, I just feel worthless."

For Birth Control "HORRIBLE!! My ob-gyn offered this to help regulate my irregular menstrual cycle - I have had to call off work for how bad my cramps were and how depressed and anxious I have been. I wasn't sure it was the pill till I googled the reviews. Kicking myself for not doing it before. I woke up last night gasping for air and in a sweat, panicked and crying. Considered all my pills trashed!!!"
