For Birth Control "I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for the past 4 years. My gyno prescribed Gildess when I switched health insurance. I was against switching since my skin was clear and I was content with Lo's mild side effects. I am so glad that I did not read user reviews before switching as I probably would have never tried it. Since switching to Gildess BC, I no longer have breakthrough bleeding, my sex drive is improved, no breakouts have occurred (which was a big concern), but the best part is that I've lost the bloated abdomen! I tried everything for the past 4 years to lose my belly roll. Because BC does cause yeast, I stay on a good probiotic, but even that never made my belly flat. Give it at least 3 months for your body to adjust."

For Birth Control "This is probably the pill I'll never take. The first six months were great. I lost weight, had 100% regular periods with no in-between bleeding. Now I've had a good 4 months of non-stop anxiety, paranoia, and depression that wasn't there before. I have also developed bleeding the week before my period is supposed to show up. Definitely switching pills ASAP."

For Birth Control "I would rate this a 10, but I am only 2 1/2 months into using it. The pills are FREE with my insurance. I am 41, and my periods had started getting really bad, and I had been feeling hormonal and was 10 pounds overweight. My doctor was going to prescribe me a mini pill that would cost $60 a month. I mentioned the cost was a burden, and she gave me Gildess. I feel great. I have lost weight, and my sex drive is high. My periods are very light. No more cramps, heavy bleeding, and bad dizzy hormone spells. No bad side effects yet."

For Birth Control "This is the only birth control that doesn't make me crazy. It does take at least 3 months for your body to get used to it, and you have to take it at the exact time to prevent spotting and/or breakthrough bleeding. I don't gain any weight while on it, and it clears up my acne. Once my body became used to it, my periods were not painful, lighter, and shorter. Everyone is different, but the key with this one is you must take it on time!!"

For Birth Control "Had breakthrough bleeding the first three or four months and acne. Went to the dermatologist about the acne, and she said the birth control is a good brand and it would help with acne over the next few months. She was right. Acne cleared up, and my periods are regular, lighter, and shorter, which is fantastic. I have no complaints with the pill now that those small things have been resolved. I like this pill a lot."

For Birth Control "This BC took some getting used to, the first month I had an extremely long period. Some irregular bleeding here and there, but only 3-pound weight gain. Anxiety got better, then got worse, and now I have pretty much no sex drive, and I'm always angry. My emotions seem to be x10. I have random periods throughout the pack, looks like I'm having two periods this month. Some periods were really light, now they're getting heavier and longer. My acne has cleared up, and I have not gotten pregnant or gained much weight."

For Birth Control "Express Scripts switched this one in place of my Microgestin FE 1.5/30. This has been the worst experience ever. I missed taking a pill by 2 hours and I had already begun breakthrough bleeding and severe cramping. To where I had to leave the office at work and just lean over and hold my stomach. The absolute worst part is the depression. I'm crying about everything and getting upset with my boyfriend over nothing. I've only been taking this for two weeks and it's been a hellstorm. I do not recommend this brand."

For Birth Control "I have been on several different kinds of birth control: pills, NuvaRing, Implanon, spermicides, condoms. All the hormones were too much for my body to handle, eventually, I had to quit trying. I had my Implanon removed after a year and a half of nonstop bleeding and suffering from severe vertigo, headaches, and depression. So I went to my doctor and expressed my concerns. She prescribed this to me, and I was so reluctant to take them. I honestly expected the worst. The first month was rough, not going to lie... my body was adjusting. I was dizzy and nauseous a lot. But then, it all stopped. My body regulated, and I couldn't be happier with this choice! My period is on time every month, and it is super light the whole time. It's amazing."

For Birth Control "Oh, eff this pill. First, my Dr. put me on Provera to do a medicinal D&C vs. a surgical one. That was a mess. So we discussed BC pills instead because that should have a more standard response. Well, my body gave me two giant middle fingers. I've been bleeding for 19 days. I'm not just talking spotting. I use the Diva Cup, I'm shedding 1/4 oz - 1/2 oz every day. Pretty sure I'm anemic at this point. Oh, and my acne is atrocious."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 2 years now, and it gets worse and worse each month. I have experienced horrible nausea, headaches, mood swings, and depression. I constantly have bleeding throughout the month, and my period never comes when I'm supposed to have it. It is almost as irregular and heavy as it was when I didn't take the pill. I get extremely bad cramps and bloating as well. Currently in the process of trying to switch to a new pill. Very angry."

For Birth Control "So the pro is, it's prevented pregnancy and made me go up a cup size. Oh, and my acne has cleared up. Cons: the first month went well. I'm on month 3 of taking it, and let me tell you... I've been bleeding/spotting for about 34 days now. It's annoying. And when I start spotting heavily, I get severe cramping. It's interfered with my sex life and moods. I do get mood swings, but I'm thinking it's because I am so tired of bleeding. I've gained about 5 pounds, which isn't too bad for switching birth control."

For Birth Control "This is my 6th month on Gildess (my first form of birth control taken). I'm really confused with how my body is reacting to it. It made my vagina weirdly dry, mood swings were present before but were somehow amplified, and I bleed even when I'm not on my period (not just spotting, like a solid week before my period week). I'm trying out Gildess Fe 1.5/30 to see if it was a dosage problem, but it might be the brand itself. Wish me luck, and good luck to all who try it!"

For Birth Control "I just finished my first pack and didn't have a pleasant experience on this pill. My period typically comes around every 3 months and lasts for about 5 days, but I bled the entire time I was on this medication. I also never typically have cramps, but boy, did I have cramps. I also didn't have a problem with acne until I started this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this medication a little over 7 months now. I take it so I don't have to get my period. I used to get awful period pains and now I have absolutely none! I used to struggle with acne and was worried it might make me break out, but, if anything, it made my skin clearer. Also, my breasts went up a size and haven't gained weight anywhere else so far. When I first started, I dealt with a little breakthrough bleeding, but that went away after a week or two. So, for me personally, I have had a really good experience with it. I would recommend trying it, BUT if you feel depressed or get bad side effects like others on it, I would try something new right away. It's just about finding the right birth control for your body."

For Birth Control "The first six months of using Gildess were unremarkable. It was effective in preventing pregnancy, did not worsen or produce acne, and I did not experience any remarkable weight gain. It was like any other birth control. After my first six months, however, I experienced spotting, heavier bleeding, and random periods throughout the month. In one month, I experienced two periods. For the past few months, my periods started after two weeks of active pills."

For Birth Control "I absolutely hate this pill because ever since I started it, I am angrier, more depressed, and I bleed non-stop! Literally every day since the day I started! I fear becoming anemic because of it. I do not recommend this for anyone."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 5 months now. I switched to this after having problems with Depo, which caused me horrible migraines that actually put me in the hospital. Since I've started this pill, I've had nothing but problems with constant bleeding. The strength of the pill has been changed higher a few times. After sex, I bleed, going to the bathroom, I bleed. I absolutely hate it. I've also been very irritable, but mostly because I'm tired of bleeding. And I feel dizzy all the time and feel out of body. I'd rather gain a ton of weight on the Depo and deal with migraines again than deal with what I'm going through on Gildess."

For Birth Control "If I could rate this a zero, I would! Ever since taking Gildess, I've been bleeding. It's been about 3 weeks now, and not just spotting either... I'm miserable. My cramps are so bad, and my acne is ridiculous, I've never broken out this bad before."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I had been really hesitant about starting this birth control based on the reviews it got, but I've been on it for about 7 months now and seriously have no complaints! I think I experienced a little bit of nausea and fatigue the first month on it and some breakthrough bleeding up until the third month, but all those side effects have subsided, and my skin has been super clear as well! My period usually lasts only about three days on this and is really light, and most important of all, I'm not pregnant!"

For Birth Control "I had been taking this BC for about three months. I always bled before the fourth week. Each month, bleeding earlier than the month before. Didn't gain weight. Did not break out as bad as the first BC I was previously on (Sprintec). Then out of nowhere, mood swings. And when I say mood swings, I'm talking a full 180. One minute things would be fine, then the next, I'm crying and ready to cut off the head of the person closest to me. Today I started Xulane. I'm hoping that this will not make me gain weight, break out, or cramp like a lot of the reviews have stated. Hopefully no more mood swings! Best part about these pills, I did not get pregnant."

For Birth Control "The first time I took this medication was last month on the 1st day of my period. Had bad side effects within 3 days like always angry, acne along the side of my jaw and mouth, swelling boobs, and heavy bleeding. I stopped taking it after the 1st week. Told my OB-GYN about it, she said to take it again and give it another chance for a whole month, so I did, and I'm now on my 2nd week and have not experienced any side effects so far, which is good. The only good side effect is swelling boobs, who wouldn't want that, lol."

For Birth Control "I am 19 years old and have been on this pill for 4 months. Before starting this birth control, I had no acne and relatively heavy periods with no cramps and slight bloating. Since starting this pill, I have developed acne and severe mood swings and gained about 10 pounds. I also bleed almost constantly, about 3 weeks per month, very lightly, and now experience cramps when on the placebo pill. I visited my gyno, and he told me to finish the 3-month subscription I had possessed to see if my symptoms improved, and they only worsened. Worst decision ever going on this pill, and I would not recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "I am 45 years old and have taken birth control pills from the time I was 18 to 34 when my husband and I decided to start a family. For 11 years my cycles were always 26-28 days. The reason I went back on the pill was due to painful menstrual cramps and not to get pregnant. Since I have been on this pill, I had immediate breakthrough bleeding, it's lasted for 3 months. It's actually gotten worse, I bleed every day! I have also suffered from migraines and headaches daily in the 3rd month. My breasts are huge and my weight is creeping up. I feel depressed and have no sex drive. I hate this pill! I took my last pill today. I'd rather have two painful days of menstrual cramps. I will never take this pill ever!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I was afraid to try this because of all of the negative reviews. It's best to just try things out yourself. Everyone is different. I have only been on birth control once before. I was on the Skyla IUD previously for a little less than two months. My body couldn't handle it at all. So I decided to get off it and try the pill. I waited until my period started, and now I am on my third week. At first, I did have mood swings (pretty bad), I was emotional, with nausea, but not too bad. I am still bleeding a little, but it's going away. I called my gyno to make sure it was normal, and apparently, it is. It takes some time for your body to get used to it. Now that I'm on the third week, I am starting to feel normal again. Even kind of happy. Best of luck."
