For Birth Control "I'm on my third patch, and so far so good! I love that I only have to remember to change it once a week. The first week, I had a few battles with nausea; every little smell made me wanna throw up! Even woke up in the middle of the night thinking I was going to. But never actually puked, so that's good I guess. The other main side effect I've experienced is very tender breasts. I'm curious to see how my period is next week... But over all, it's been very bearable. My one piece of advice-- don't let one really bad review sway you! Everyone's body is different. You never know what will work for you until you try!"

For Birth Control "I was on Xulane for 3 1/2 years. I had tubal ligation and my surgery was only supposed to be a half hour ended up being an hour and a half. My body was full of adhesions so my doctor could not find my ovaries! I have been dealing with intestinal spasms ever since. Going on 10 months and still on medication to treat them. Xulane caused me weight gain, mood swings and pain where patch was. NOT A GOOD CHOICE!"

For Birth Control "I love it - been on it for 4+ years with no side effects and no babies. I read these reviews before I started and it freaked me out, but don't worry. It's been amazing! So happy I found a BC right for me because I had no weight gain, no mood swings, nothing."

For Birth Control "I started the Xulane patch two months ago. I have to say that it has been a great experience so far. I myself read through these reviews before starting the patch and I was terrified of the experience I would have. I have not gained any weight. I have not had migraines or even mild headaches. The patch does not itch nor does it leave a rash or any type of bump. It does leave a residue on the outer ring from where it catches your clothing and collects fuzz. I have not experienced any nausea. It has been smooth sailing. My period is drastically lighter and I don't get ill or experience extreme cramps. I have to say I'm a huge fan of the patch. It has even increased my sex drive, because I feel so comfortable now that I have it."

For Birth Control "I don't like Xulane. How do other girls’ patches not fall off after they shower?!?! I can’t just only shower once a week. and I have to replace it after every time I shower? I don’t know how anyone likes this product. I gave it a 2 because it’s a great idea that we only need to change it once a week instead of taking a pill everyday, maybe work on making it more waterproof and it’ll be the new go to for girls."

For Birth Control "I've used Xulane for 9 years I couldn't do the pills I'd get sick even with the low dose ones. I started to use it for my acne because my acne was super bad, the ones that hurt and you couldn't cover up with makeup.( Xulane helped a lot it cleared my skin so much :) to the point I never had acne anymore. Then of course it has help me not to get prego too. I'm off of it now and trying to get prego. I did conceive a few months after I got off the patch, but I had a miscarriage. I also remember my doctor saying if you were a certain weight that it wouldn’t work I don’t think that’s true because I was over that limit weight and I never got pregnant"

For Birth Control "I took the Xulane patch because I wanted another option for birth control. This was the worst. I put the patch on on a Sunday and by Sunday night I was having extreme headache and on Monday morning I was violently vomiting uncontrollably. I took the patch off and felt fine for the rest of the day despite a horrible headache for the rest of the day and the next day. I switched back to a new pill (Lo Loestrin) and I love it. No side effects so far and very happy with it."

For Birth Control "Been on it for 10 months. Had mood swings and on and off bleeding the first month, but after that it worked great ( i did do the quick start method) i usually keep it on my shoulders and i hardly remember its there once i've applied it. only once had it peel, and my pharmacist simply gave me a new box (he explained that he told the manufacturer it had malfunctioned and they will send a replacement) i switch patches on friday, and my period always starts monday. it ends by friday when i apply the next patch. period is now light and pretty much cramp free, i barely notice. as far as birth control, my boyfriend and i very rarely use condoms anymore and i have had no issues with pregnancy."

For Birth Control "Before I started the Xulane patch I was on the pill (Tri-Sprintec Birth Control ) was horrible ! I kept having vagina problems that became very uncomfortable. And also vaginal dryness as well before I got on the pill I didn’t have those problems . I was always feeling depressed and sad and also feeling like I was going to lose my mind !!! I hated this birth control so I switched to the patch . When I first started on the patch I was very happy . I love that I can change the patch weekly and I also can skip periods ! My periods don’t be as heavy as they used to be though . But the cons are I do cramp at the bottom of my stomach from time to time . I also have bad headaches. My breast just started becoming very sore and I sometimes feel very tired. Sometimes I feel as thought I’m pregnant when I’m not ."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this birth control to my worse enemy. I have had terrible headaches, arm and stomach pain, and nausea. I stopped the patch as soon as I started throwing up while driving in my car. I am thinking about going to the ER, it has been almost 2 hours and I still can not stop vomiting. This is the worse pain ever. I regret ever using this patch. It is worse than the pills."

For Birth Control "I’m 22 and been on this birth control for a few months and I have had no major problems with it. No weight gain, my face is super clear, VERY light periods that last about 5 days! I’m writing this because there are so many negative reviews about this birth control when it just depends on your body since we’re all different! Only negative would be I do get a bit more moody but nothing major!"

For Birth Control "I absolutely love the patch. I could never go back to taking a pill. The patch is the simplest way to have birth control for me (it varies by person). If you are someone who goes to school, is forgetful, or just barely has time in the day to remember to eat this helps you avoid the spotting, the cramps, the possible pregnancy of being on the pill and forgetting to take it. The one and only complaint I have is when playing sports, being in a sauna, or being in warm water for a while the patch glue becomes weak and you have to be careful."

For Birth Control "So I've always sucked at taking the pill, I would always forget. I had Mirena and really didn't like it, had nuva ring and same thing. And Nexaplanon was the worst of them all. I won't go into details but they all failed me in one way or another. Xulane has been the only birth control where I really have zero complaints. It is very easy to manage. When I was taking the pill I ended up pregnant at 18 because I wasn't diligent about taking at the same time or forgetting to take it. Xulane has made my cystic acne clear up almost completely . I've been on it for almost 6 months now and I won't be changing it. I recommend this to anyone thats struggled with other forms of birth control. I wish I would have tried this sooner"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Xulane for about two years. During that time, I’ve had almost constant nausea, extreme fatigue, weight gain, and strange chest and abdominal pain. I actually went to the doctor thinking there was something wrong with my heart, as it runs in my family. Though, I am only 23. My sex drive disappeared completely and I found my anxiety to be worse than normal. I spent every ‘new patch’ day vomiting and would sleep by the toilet. This is even AFTER two years. The symptoms have never gone away. My breasts are always swollen and tender. I’ve gone up to an uncomfortable 32G from a 32DD. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone. My body is very sensitive to medicine but this was just too much. I’m finally saying enough and trying something new."

For Birth Control "I've been on the patch one month, a complete cycle. I started after my first ever miscarriage, so I was a little weary and nervous of how my periods were going to be since I have been bleeding off and on the past 2-3 months! Xulane works amazing for me!! My period is shorter and lighter but I still spot a few times which was expected. But I have literally had no other side effects! I forget it is there! I alternate putting it on each side of my back, above my pants line but below my bra line so no irritation. It has never fallen off, even with bathtubs I had no issues. I have seen a lot of negative comments but I truly think it is just how your body will handle it. The patch is amazing for me, but the pill makes me so sick. I recommend!!"

For Birth Control "I first put on the Xulane patch on my right arm and immediately felt nauseous. Every time I put the patch on after a patch free week I feel nauseous. It feels terrible. I've been craving everything and starving! I had just gotten off of Larin Fe pill and moved onto the patch and I deeply regret it. Also its left a rash and everywhere I've put it has been burning, oozing and it is itchy. I have only been wearing this since October."

For Birth Control "This is the first review I've ever wrote in life. I say that to say, this is how horrible Xulane is, so bad that I had to write a review about it. I started the patch 3 weeks ago. I was very excited because I didn't have to take pills, which means you have to remember to take them everyday. With the patch you just have to wear/change them once a week. First week of using the patch I notice a difference in my body. I was very nauseous, migraines was almost everyday, and loss of appetite. Second week, I was very very emotional, I would cry for no reason along with being very moody. I'm literally nauseous everyday now, I have vomit a few times. Long story short, I have pregnant symptoms. STAY AWAY FROM THE PATCH!! It's horrible!"

For Birth Control "First of all I would just like to say that the fact that this website can change what I write on this review before it is published is stupid. I think the patch should be clear in my opinion because it is not discrete at all. It is white and has yellow lettering written all over it! I am tan so it just stands out. Not thoughtful at all. "

For Birth Control "I’m on my fourth patch. I’ve found the best place to put it is on your low abdomen, right above where your public hair grows. It doesn’t fall off here for me, I always put it on an hour or two after a shower and don’t shower for at least 24 hours after I put it on and I try to avoid exercise in the first 24 hours after application. I tried putting it on my arm and that did not work at all. I didn’t have any negative symptoms until my third patch, now I’ve been having really bad cramps and really intense breast pain and tenderness. My boobs are always really sore and I’ve noticed as well that they’re really swollen and I’ve gone up at least one cup size. I don’t mind the fact that my boobs are bigger but man, they really hurt. I’m 22 and I’ve tried so many different birth controls since I was 14 but this is the first time I’ve ever had breast tenderness and had them get bigger. This is a really easy birth control method though and I’m okay with the symptoms."

For Birth Control "I've been on Xulane for several months now and I hadn't had a problem until February, when the patch started to give me huge raised rashes, I tried it on multiple spots on my body, tried washing with different soaps, using different lotions, nothing worked. I feel like they must've switched the adhesive recently, because this problem happened out of the blue and wasn't isolated to one patch (I even got a new package, and still had the same issue occur). I'm really disappointed because I loved this birth control, but I suppose I'll just have to find something new when I have the time. It's really ruined all the skin I've put it on. The skin where the rashes appeared seems to have scarred."

For Birth Control "I’m 18 and I started Xulane as my first form of birth control. I thought the patch would be easy but it is the worst :( I would put it on at night feeling totally fine and the next morning I would feel absolutely sick to my stomach. This happened my first time using and after my period I tried it again and it’s the same thing. I didn’t consider my chest pains a side effect until I saw that other women experience it too. I simply cannot function daily and do things like go to work or drive for long periods of time because the nausea is TOO MUCH. I don’t like xulane."

For Birth Control "I took this Xulane patch because I struggle with remembering the pill. This was the worst option for me. I started this on a Sunday morning and by Monday night I was having horrible symptoms. I have a very sensitive body and it caused me to throw up nonstop for 5 hours the first night I was on it. I was instructed to remove it immediately from my dr. This is not a good option for people whose bodies are sensitive."

For Birth Control "I have been on Xulane for almost 3 years now. I tried the pill and would forget to take it. So my doctor prescribed the patch! It has worked perfectly! Every once in a while I’ll get a minor headache but nothing other than that. I wear it on my lower abdomen and switch sides every week. I would recommend to any woman that doesn’t want to get pregnant right now."

For Birth Control "This terrible thing made me gain a ton of weight in a matter of weeks, a day in water pills and I’m literal sizes down. It made me so irritable and moody and my breasts hurt SO bad. PASSSSSSS. The adhesive left a rash on my leg and the patch attached to clothing and got messed up too."
