For Birth Control "I have been on these pills since May 2017, and I haven't had side effects, but I would tell you to take them on time every day because you will have breakthrough bleeding, and it can last from a few days to a few weeks. But one thing that I can say is that I have lost weight, and I don't have crazy cravings, no tender breasts, and no headaches. This has been my first time on BC, and I have had a great experience!!!!!"

For Birth Control "At first, I thought I loved this pill, the problem with it crept in so subtly I didn't notice it (very similar to a previous complaint I saw on here). I've never had issues with anxiety or depression before taking this. About 7 months into taking the pill, my anxiety skyrocketed, and I became increasingly depressed. Insomnia also became a consistent problem, and I seriously thought I was losing my mind. My relationship with my husband also suffered from these serious side effects as I became extremely moody and would cry for no reason and not understand why. My advice would be to seriously monitor how you feel while on this pill and note any changes in mood - because it definitely creeps in slowly."

For Birth Control "This birth control is awful. I was on it for 3 months, and now it's in the trash. My back hurt constantly, my breasts weren't just 'tender', they were painful, and it even hurt to gently touch them. My period came twice a month, and the cramps were awful. Even weirder, it made my nipples change color. They were first pink and then brown, which caused quite a panic for me since different colored nipples are a sign of pregnancy. After 5 negative tests and a doctor visit, they chalked it up to birth control. The only positive is that I didn't get pregnant."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for about 2 years now, and I love it. I trust this birth control, and it has decreased my blood flow during my period. I used to have extremely heavy blood flow and extreme fatigue during my period. After I started Sronyx, my period is light, and I don't cramp as badly as I used to. I did see a change in my mood, but I have managed to control it and not display the moods that I feel."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Sronyx about a year ago, and at first, I didn't notice any negative side effects... but about six months ago, my husband started to point out how mean I got when my period got closer. At first, I brushed it off as PMS, but it got worse each month. In high school, before I was on the pill, I never got cramps or had bad mood swings, but now I'm constantly doubled over from cramping, I get irritable, and I NEVER know when my period will actually start. And I would break out like crazy! (I have acne-ridden wedding pictures as proof). The only good thing is that I didn't get pregnant. I'm glad I'm starting a new pill next month."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for a little over a month, and the first two weeks I was a mess. I would cry over everything, it was hard for me to eat because of the nausea, and I was spotting. After that, even though I spotted for a better portion of the month, I was fine. My period was light, shorter, and less painful. I gained about three pounds in those two weeks, but I already lost it. It was a roller coaster, but I do recommend this pill just because it helps a boatload after the initial storm. Plus side, I'm also not pregnant, and my sex drive stayed the same."

For Birth Control "I'm getting married in 3 months and did not want to get pregnant before the wedding. Usually, I do family planning for birth control, and that has worked out great. But my fiancé and I have been having unprotected sex a lot, so I decided to go on the pill until the wedding. I started Sunday, and it has been a NIGHTMARE! I started crying about the smallest things, which is so abnormal for me. I have never been the emotional type. This began on Day 3. By Day 5, I was truly depressed and yelling at my fiancé because he fell asleep before I made it back from the store to help me with my bags. Day 6 is when I came to the realization and started reading about the side effects. For such a small pill, it does a lot of damage. Please do not take this."

For Birth Control "This pill is okay. But it causes severe cramping. And mood swings. Irritability and crying seem to be a big issue I couldn't deal with. I was hungry all the time. Severe abdominal bloating was associated. Not sure if it was water weight or what. But I eat well. Normally no sugar in my diet. Run 2 miles a day, 5 days a week, and a ton of water. But this pill made me gain weight. After 6 months, I got off and have switched to NuvaRing. I love it, no side effects this far."

For Birth Control "I took this birth control about 6 months, and I am very moody, and I cry over everything that happens to me. I get headaches very easily after I started taking these pills. Every time I had sex, it wasn't as good as it used to be, and now I've been off for over a month, and I am not moody, but I have one of the side effects of quitting birth control, which is I haven't gotten my period. I am very nervous about this as well."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have taken this birth control medicine for less than a month, and it SUCKS. My doctor gave it to me to decrease my cramps and to have lighter periods, and I cry all the time about the stupidest things. I've been randomly spotting for about a week now. My cramps are not as bad, but it makes me an emotional mess, and my boobs hurt so bad. Running up and down the stairs is a struggle. I have an increased appetite too, which I soon think will result in weight gain, even though I'm very active. I don't recommend, but everyone is different."

For Birth Control "I was nervous to start this birth control because of all of the negative reviews. I've only been on it for about a week, and so far my stomach has felt quite uneasy, and I'm very tired. I've had these side effects with each hormone therapy I've tried at the beginning. So far, so good. I'll review again after I've been on it for a while. I think finding the right progesterone/estrogen combo is key. I was on Climara Pro for a while and loved it. It has the same progesterone as Sronyx."

For Birth Control "I tried birth control in college (Lo Estrin), and it was terrible. Mood changes made me act like a demon to my roommates, boobs grew, terrible nausea. Sronyx was recommended by my OBGYN, and I love it! I have gained a little weight and experience nausea from time to time, but otherwise, I don’t notice any side effects. Tried the generic Nutera, and it gave me headaches, so yeah, they are not the same, don’t let the pharmacist tell you otherwise!!"

For Birth Control "This medicine is absolutely terrible. After three months of using it, my hair has fallen out so much so that I can see my scalp very visibly, and it's very, very embarrassing. I stopped taking it and am now considering a copper IUD. No more hormones for me."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sronyx to calm my cramping and bleeding on my period, and I have not been pleased. I take my pill around 8:30 every night, and since I have been taking it, I have woken up each night with nausea, dizziness, and bloating. I am not too pleased."

For Birth Control "The best thing this pill Sronyx did was clear my skin. Coming off of it, however, gave me the worst breakouts of my life. I also liked how my sex drive was high/normal using this pill. The one thing it didn’t do was help my cramps. It did for about a year, then my periods went back to how bad they’ve always been. I recommend this nevertheless."

For Birth Control "I'm taking Sronyx now after switching from Lo Loestrin Fe and it's only been 2 weeks, and I'm already noticing major side effects. Vaginal dryness, itchiness, burning... pain while urinating and just overall discomfort. I hate it. I'm going to make an appointment soon."

For Birth Control "I was on Sronyx birth control for a little over a year. Throughout that year, I had become extremely depressed and full of anxiety. I became a totally different person and was miserable constantly. I had no idea, at the time, that it had anything to do with the birth control. For the last few months, I have been having extremely long periods. I’m talking three weeks. I talked to my gynecologist, and we switched to a new birth control pill. Wow, I feel completely back to normal. I really wish I hadn’t taken this pill for so long. I knew about the normal side effects like nausea, and those were fine with me. They came and went. But if you take this medication and experience depression, talk to your doctor. This birth control can work great for some people. It was not at all a good fit for me. Long periods, depression, crippling anxiety. Not worth it to me."

For Birth Control "When I first got the Sronyx birth control pill, it literally took me about a week and a half to take it. I was afraid because all the reviews seemed really bad, and I didn’t want to deal with any dramatic changes just yet. I was afraid that I would become depressed and sad. It’s been 3 weeks in, and I’m pretty satisfied so far. The only side effects that I've gotten are being a little sensitive, I’ve cried for no reason at times, but I mean it’s not that big of a deal, and then also feeling bloated. So again, they’re not that big of a deal, and I think that everyone should give this pill a try because everyone’s body works differently, so you don’t know how you’ll react to it unless you take it. Give it a try for at least a month, and if you don’t like it, change to something else or get off it completely."

For Birth Control "I literally took the pill once and had the absolute worst side effects. I had headaches, I was vomiting, I had chills, dizziness. This was my first experience with birth control, and it’s honestly scared me from starting any other."

For Birth Control "I am 33 and have been off of birth control for 9 years. Reading reviews for birth control (generally) is terrifying, and I really think everyone reacts differently. That said, I was previously on Cryselle-28 and had no negative side effects (also, no pregnancies), but when I stopped taking it, I just felt better. So, this time around, I decided to try a different birth control and went with Sronyx based on online reviews. I am generally in good health and have regular periods, no mental issues, etc. THE GOOD: Sronyx definitely bumped me up half a cup size, no weight gain, no hair loss, no skin change, no pregnancy. THE BAD: turned me into a very unstable version of myself. I was severely anxious, depressed, and experienced panic attacks. This is the first time in my life I've ever experienced such emotional swings and paranoia. I noticed the side effects within days of starting Sronyx. I stayed on it for the full month, but nothing improved. Now I am going back to Cryselle!"

For Birth Control "Well, I've been on Sronyx for about 9 months now. I was prescribed this as a change from my old birth control (can't recall the name). The only reason why I changed was because the pill would make me hate my boyfriend, and I would be in the worst mood all the time. The change has definitely been worth it. I didn't gain weight with either pill or break out. My boobs would get tender and really sensitive, but I guess that's normal. I'm definitely not as moody as before."

For Birth Control "I am a 23-year-old, and I actually came here to see if people were having the side effects I was. I have been on the pill for 2 weeks and three days! That’s how quickly it took for me to have crazy paranoia and anxiety. I went to the ER because I was convinced I had a blood clot, only for it to be symptoms caused by anxiety. I have chest pains, neck pains, and arm and leg pain. They tested me for DVT and pulmonary embolism. Nothing! But that was three days ago, and I still feel like I’m gonna die. I’m super dizzy, and my right leg swells a little. I stopped immediately because I feel if I kept going, I was going to end up with DVT or worse. Just please be careful."

For Birth Control "This birth control is the absolute worst. I have had a past with acne and I’ve been so insecure about it, and when I got on birth control, I was so excited that it could help my acne, and then it made it 20 times worse. My acne has never been this bad in my life! It’s also made me extremely angry all the time for no reason and made my breasts hurt so bad to the point where I couldn’t touch them without feeling like they were covered in bruises. Do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I have just finished my second month on Sronyx. First of all, I had clear skin before I started taking this birth control pill, right after I began to take the pills, my forehead started to break out in pimples. I was very unhappy about that, but my doctor told me to wait it out for the first 3 months in order for my body to adjust to the hormones. While on my second month, I broke out BAD the week before my period, but it was due to my period coming up. My only side effect is me breaking out, if it weren't for that, I would be giving it a 10! I have no other side effects or mood swings, which I love, and it actually helps me control my hunger. I don't feel as hungry as I did before, which has helped me lose about 8 lbs!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Sronyx for 4 months now, and I love it! I cried constantly for the first week, but other than that, I have not had any negative side effects. No weight gain, no mood swings, no anxiety/depression (and I am somebody who is diagnosed with both!). Here are the positives I experienced: higher sex drive, my bra size went from a DD to a DDD, no pregnancy (my boyfriend and I got lazy about condoms for a few weeks, and he never pulled out, and I was still good!). I can’t really say much about how it’s worked for my acne, since I started Accutane a week after starting the BC. I am so thankful that this has worked out for me, I saw so many bad reviews on this website and almost didn’t take it because I got so scared. Everybody reacts differently to different medications. It’s always worth it to give it a try (unless you have a legitimate medical reason not to, of course!)."
