For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control since I was 15. I needed another form of BC when I was taking Accutane. I stayed on it because I obviously became sexually active and didn’t want to get pregnant yet. I am now 27 and dealing with a lot of problems in my relationship. No sex drive, I have constant headaches, I am overly emotional (which I originally thought was just me), crazy mood swings before and after my cycle, depression, anxiety. I am going to stop taking it to see if my side effects go away because I don’t want my relationship to fall apart. I have gone to numerous doctors for my depression, mood swings, etc., and none of them have ever mentioned that it could be my birth control. That’s incredible to me. My one positive about Sronyx is that in the 12.5 years of taking it, I have not gotten pregnant or had any pregnancy scares."

For Birth Control "I received Sronyx from a free clinic, and I have been on it for over 3 years! I have literally tried every single birth control option they had available. Nothing has ever given me such perfect experiences as Sronyx has. While I'm on Sronyx, my periods are very light without cramps or pain. All my acne is gone, and my skin glows! And if I miss a pill, like clockwork, I would break out. Sronyx even regulates my weight and curbs my appetite, no lie. I notice other birth controls make you extremely hungry and gain weight, but Sronyx does not at all. I will never stray away from this pill. I absolutely love it!"

For Birth Control "I took Sronyx for 3 months. I quickly became very anxious and depressed. For three weeks, I cried every day. I didn't feel like myself. I was very sensitive in general. My drive was pretty much gone. I also gained a slight amount of weight. However, my skin was pretty clear. Immediately after I stopped taking it, I felt a lot better. I'm extremely nervous to take anything new now because of how terrible I felt on this."

For Birth Control "This is the first time I’ve taken any type of birth control. I’ve been on Sronyx for a little over a year and am quite satisfied. My prescriber said to stick it out for the first three months, and any side effects would subside. When I first started taking it, my breasts were noticeably larger and very tender. At exactly the three-month mark, they went back to normal. Periods last about 4 days and are light and painless. My weight didn’t fluctuate at all. I’ve been fortunate to always have had good skin, this didn’t change anything. Many people mention changes in mood, anxiety, and depression, in my experience, when I first started taking it, I felt genuinely happier and had more energy. My only complaint is that my sex drive has plummeted."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been on this pill, Sronyx, for 6 weeks and am choosing to stop taking this pill. In the beginning, I was nauseous, leg pain, face broke out, and I grew some brown spots that don’t exactly look like moles. I bled irregularly for the first 2-3 weeks and then did not get my period at all the first month. My libido is up, but I have a hard time to orgasm. Then the pain that started in my lower leg slowly crept up to my thigh, it randomly hurts and feels deep, massaging does not help. I am now getting pains in my arms and neck and will no longer take this garbage. WAY too many side effects for me! And I’m scared it could be an embolism and kill me... ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH TAKING! I read the insert, I read what the website says, and they make many of these symptoms seem incredibly minimal... so why did I get so many so fast? I’m done! Change your birth control!"

For Birth Control "I am finishing my third pack of Sronyx, and I love it. I didn't really have any problems adjusting. The first month, I did experience breast pain, one week of irritability, and just a couple of days of spotting. I had a couple of zits pop up around my period when I was off of the active pills. By the end of the second month, my skin is fine! I can honestly say this is a really good starter birth control pill. The low dose of hormones makes the transition very easy. My advice: of course, you will most likely experience some sort of side effect because of the hormones. Don't let the fear of a couple of zits or a few hormonal days keep you from trying it. It's worth it."

For Birth Control "I started on Sronyx going from Ortho Tricylen Lo, which is horrible. I felt like death every time I took Ortho. I had swollen breasts, mood swings, severe nausea. Sronyx was a godsend. I had no symptoms, and it cleared up my mild acne. My sex drive is back."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was prescribed Sronyx as a way to control the amount of blood I lose during my very heavy periods. I have been on it for about 5 months now, and here is my experience with it. I feel very normal taking this pill. About Me: - Age: 24 - Weight: 105 - Ethnicity: Hispanic - Sexually Active - I eat healthy - Little to Moderate Exercise My Experience: - Period was lighter after 1st month and has continued to stay light. I used to bleed for 5-6 days heavily and get severe cramps. Now my periods are light and will last 3 days. I still get light cramps. - I have not gained weight. - Skin cleared up - No mood swings or depression. - Sex drive has not changed. - On occasions, I will experience nausea after I eat. - I still PMS - NO 'breakthrough bleeding.'"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about a month. So far, I have experienced some side effects such as mild nausea the first few days I was on it, but not enough to bother me. I have had light headaches on and off, and also a change in my appetite. But my appetite actually is decreasing. While I feel hungry more often, the amount of food that it takes to make me feel full is significantly less. I feel like I am losing weight on this pill. I am hoping that the side effects go away soon. My physician said that every birth control pill will make you feel the way I do for 2-3 months until your hormone levels level out and get used to the new pill, which makes total sense. So I am not worried yet and think that this pill will work just fine for me."

For Birth Control "I don’t recommend this birth control at all. At first, I felt like I had no symptoms other than my breasts hurting all the time! But then, as time went on, I realized how it made me start feeling crazy. I have always had anxiety/OCD, but taking this birth control made it unbearable. I had to get on anxiety medicine. I have never felt like more of a mess in my life. Now that I just got off, I already feel so much better. Definitely not doing that again. Oh, and yes, it does give you acne, I’ve never had a problem with breakouts until taking the pill."

For Birth Control "I had been on this birth control for a little over a week, and I felt like I was a completely different person. Extreme anxiety to the point of almost having multiple panic attacks a day, feelings of depression, and thoughts I never had before that actually scared me! And the worst part was having absolutely no appetite, I was forcing myself to eat every single day. I stopped taking it two days ago, and it’s insane how quickly I feel myself again. I know every woman experiences medication differently, but this birth control may not even be worth a try!"

For Birth Control "I have had the most irregular periods for years, as well as horrible acne. When I would get my period, I had really bad cramps, and it was heavy. Since starting Sronyx 3 weeks ago, I have been so happy, and my sex drive is way higher. My acne has gotten much better, and my boyfriend has said sex feels better (I agree). I should be getting my first period since starting the pill this week!"

For Birth Control "At the beginning of taking this medication, I didn't notice any bad side effects until a few weeks after I began taking it. I would get heavy periods throughout the entire month, bad cramps, weight gain like crazy, and it's making my hair fall out. Also, my mood swings have been all over the place. I would eat like I'm pregnant and be tired all the time. I haven't had any breast growth or pain, but my acne is horrible. I'm not pregnant, so the pill worked there, but I'm going to stop taking it."

For Birth Control "It’s important to remember everyone reacts differently to medications. Just because someone may scream “DON’T TAKE THIS” doesn’t mean you’ll have the same experience they did. Sronyx, for me, has worked great. I was switched multiple times to different pills out of nowhere, and I’ve been on this one for almost a year now. I haven’t had any real issues. It’s done the job it’s intended to, along with helping clear up any acne I had. I’m 27, and Proactiv only did so much for my skin. I had breakthrough bleeding during the first pack. Now my “period” always comes 3 days after my last active pill. It’s made my life a breeze. The ONLY downside for me is I’ve gotten multiple cold sores over the past 2 years, so it’s a birth control con in general, not just this one. I hadn’t had any since I was really little. But the cold sores don’t happen enough for me to stop taking this birth control."

For Birth Control "I haven’t seen many recent reviews on this and wanted to share my thoughts. I’ve been on this pill to prevent pregnancy for 3 years now. After reading reviews, I’m very interested as some of my bad symptoms line up with others. So positives first, I did not get pregnant - unprotected (other than the pill) for 3 years. I also had MUCH lighter periods. 3 days total of bleeding, very light bleeding, and only cramps on one day. I was very regular and on time with these meds. In the last few years, I’ve been getting really bad headaches as well as acne (which I never ever had). I never linked the two things together for some reason, but realized it’s a strong possibility those things could be from the meds. I also gained probably 10 pounds on this medicine; I hold water like CRAZY. Overall, as long as you don’t mind the side effects, this one really did the job for me when it comes to staying un-pregnant. Hope this helps!!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this for 3 months (before that, I was on Orsythia for 6 months, but my ob-gyn switched me over for some reason). Since starting Sronyx, I've noticed my acne has gotten worse, but I've had an increased sex drive, lost weight, and my periods are very light and short! I would recommend it."

For Birth Control "I had to switch from Aviane to Sronyx about 2 weeks ago because my pharmacy ran out of my normal pill, and honestly, I cannot WAIT till this pack is done because I've gotten terrible side effects. I've gotten extreme nausea, crazy discharge, constipation, sore breasts, and daily headaches. I've also been really irritable. I'm scared to see what my period will be like!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this last month. Initially, I was taking Microgestin, but it was making me extremely moody and gave me acne. Then I switched to Sronyx, and my skin is clear again, and I hardly have any side effects. This is my second month on the pill, and it just seems like the side effects really do go away after 2 or 3 months. I love this pill, and I doubt I am switching. I have tried so many, including the Mirena. This is a good one."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Sronyx for about 4 months now, and I did not experience any negative side effects. My acne is a lot better than before I took the pills too! One weird thing I've noticed about my experience with Sronyx is that I'll have my period while I'm taking the white pills, then have another small period again when I take the orange pills. It gets a little annoying, but it's nothing I can't handle. Wish I didn't have to go through that. Other than that, Sronyx birth control is the first type of birth control I've ever taken, and I'm really satisfied with it."

For Birth Control "I am 21, and this is my first birth control pill since I got married. I've been taking it for 3 months or so. For me, it does an extremely good job controlling my heavy periods, decreased cramps, bloating, fatigue, etc. My periods are super stable and significantly less painful. However, the side effects I have gotten are decreased sex drive and mood swings. Even though this is only two side effects, it really affects my marriage (go figure). I am stopping this pill soon because I cannot stand how emotionally unstable I am!"

For Birth Control "I was on Yasmin and had no issues. Went to the local health department clinic and was put on Sronyx because the clinic did not carry Yasmin. Since the switch, I have had discomfort in my lower abdomen, have not had a period since... not pregnant. Have lost sexual desire and have an out-of-control appetite for sweets. I am not happy with this and will look for a way to afford the other pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for 4 months now. Everybody has a different reaction to different birth control pills, but Sronyx is perfect for me. No bloating or weight gain, no breakouts, no mood swings, no period cramps at all (I previously had debilitating ones for several days out of the month). I know exactly when my period will start and end (used to be irregular), and best of all, no pregnancy! My breasts got slightly bigger and ached for about a month and a half. I did have breakthrough bleeding the first month I was on the pill, and the two times I've missed a pill and had to take 2 in one day, it did make me nauseous, but all those things are completely to be expected. Overall, this pill is perfect for me."

For Birth Control "IF NEW TO THIS BIRTH CONTROL DO NOT CONTINUE TO TAKE IT. I am a healthy 20 year old girl and this birth control has made me feel TERRIBLE. To start I have been on Lutera (0.1 mg of levonorgestrel and 0.02 mg of ethinyl estradiol) for 3 years now and one day the pharmacist decided to change me to the generic Sronyx (0.1 mg levonorgestrel and 0.02 mg ethinyl estradiol) in September because they were out of Lutera. They are suppose to be the same thing but I can't believe that. I will never go back on this birth control because of the terrible cystic acne and the terrible side effects of depression and anxiety. When I started to take it oh my goodness I had anxiety to the point that I would break down in tears and cry every time I wake up, and I didn't sleep well while being on this medicine. Not to mention I have NEVER had depression IN MY LIFE and now I am still struggling to get myself out of the depression stage because of this medicine. I am hoping to feel like myself again sometime soon because I can not tell you how upset this makes me feel. If you struggle with depression or bad anxiety stay away from this medicine because it will make everything a so much worse."

For Birth Control "I started this pill Srongyx 5 months ago after the pharmacy switched me off lutera. The first few weeks I was having really bad cervix area pain. After that subsided everything was alright for a little while. After about 2 months I noticed I gained about 10 lbs and my hair was coming out more often in the shower. No other side effects until about month 4 when I started noticing how depressed I was becoming. This pill has turned me from a sweet, kind and patient person into a monster. My anxiety has skyrocketed and I've fallen into the deepest depression of my life. I'm not myself anymore so I decided to just stop taking all bc for a while. The only upside to this pill is it kept me from getting pregnant and cleared up my acne."

For Birth Control "My daughter has been on Sronyx for years. Started having a headache and then had a really bad seizure. She is now on her 17th day on life support. It turns out that a blood clot from her birth control went to her brain. I pray that she makes it through this horrible situation, but I want everyone to realize the dangers of this pill."
