For Dyspareunia "Used vaginal estrogen for many years following a total hysterectomy. Intrarosa is working well. However, Endoceutics needs to improve the packaging. First, the insert should open at the bottom so that covering can be peeled back, and the insert can be loaded into the plunger. The loose area of the package where the user begins the peel to open the package needs to be longer to make it easier to peel and open. Currently, it's very hard for older hands to do this. Lastly, they should replace the environmentally unfriendly plastic plunger with a nesting cardboard tube plunger."

For Dyspareunia "Currently 47, but was 46 at menopause. In late perimenopause, started experiencing noticeable tissue shrinkage of vulva and clitoral area, which is a bit more rare menopausal joy, but does happen, and I found it very upsetting. I found that it is rarely discussed, and even gynos blew it off. Estrogen cream did nothing to plump the area, and as time went on, I also started having pH shifts and low libido. With my own continued research, I came upon Intrarosa and had to press the doc for it. After only 2 days, I can share emphatically that I have experienced noticeable plumping of my external vulvar area and internal tissues and am eager to see how continued use goes. It was like watering a plant that wanted to rebloom. For me, DHEA is what my body is responding to, and I feel so glad that I kept advocating for myself, as we all should!"

For Dyspareunia "So I was given this after having symptoms of UTI from shortening and narrowing, etc. I was happy with my experience minus hormonal downs (tearing up, feeling down, and even getting angry). I continued until it was no longer affordable. 2 completely effective and natural 1 - Carlson’s vitamin E inserts. These are extremely cost-effective and I get them on eBay or Amazon. Use application same as Intrarosa. No side effects. 2- Bezwecken Renewed w/ DHEA (closest to Intrarosa). Actually, I am pretty sure these have been around for a while in Europe, with a few other ingredients like beeswax, lavender, and cocoa butter. They have a website for these and other natural options. They sell cubes? I guess people insert them too. I find them not as oily as Intrarosa, with kind of a crumbly texture. I’m just alternating between the Carlson's vitamin E inserts and Renewed inserts, and I am feeling really good. With no hormonal things happening."

"Needed a hysterectomy & removal of cervix, a sling for my bladder & rectocele. After 90-day waiting period, my husband & I “attempted” to resume intimacy. Felt like a knife was being inserted & I cried in pain, regardless of how gentle he was. I thought something had gone terribly wrong with the operation. Gynecologist suggested trying a hormone suppository, which had many potential negative side effects, including cancer; NOT an option in my book. Intrarosa was suggested. Dr. explained that after having my vaginal hysterectomy, all tissue was new, & because I was postmenopausal, I no longer produced enough hormones for a healthy vagina. Dr. said Intrarosa wouldn’t cause cancer & my body would turn it into estrogen. After a 3-month period, there was still some pain, but nothing like before. After 7 months, intimacy is less & less painful, & orgasms are norm again. Discharge is no big deal, compared to not having knife-like pain anymore!"

For Dyspareunia "I feel like the sensual woman I was before. No more painful sex or pain. I am calmer and more understanding. However, just for a few days I stopped because my sexual drive was insane, but it was not a good thing. I had mood swings and crying easily once again. Ladies, insert it all the way in and it will work plus discharge is minimal. To the ladies that rated it low, please check the meds it has interaction with and give it another try."

For Dyspareunia "I started using Intrarosa, the second day of using it I could feel the difference. My husband and I were on vacation, and the pain during sex was gone. Also, I was not running to the bathroom. I was suffering from urine incontinence and I was able to hold my urine without wetting myself, no pad needed. I love this medication, I feel so much better. A little discharge is nothing compared to what I was feeling before starting on Intrarosa."

For Dyspareunia "My gynecologist prescribed Intrarosa to me for my symptoms of vaginal thinning tissues, atrophy of vaginal tissues & bladder, my chronic inflammation with the condition vestibulitis, dryness, pain with sex, burning & itching, overall uncomfortable feeling even sitting, these symptoms had gotten worse in the last few years after menopause. Previously all I ever tried was topical Estrace cream, but it never relieved any of my symptoms or eased pain or discomfort with intercourse. Intrarosa worked for me and continues to."

For Dyspareunia "The first time I used Intrarosa, I felt a surge of energy, so much so I couldn't sleep. I was jittery and wired. I noticed the trial on a small number of women, which only lasted 12 weeks, which is too short. The trial results reported problems with Pap smears, which made me nervous. So I pulled back and cut the suppository in half, using it every night. Still wired up, I cut it in thirds and used it every other night. I have been doing this since March. Recently, I had symptoms of AFib that occurred at night when I was trying to sleep. Not knowing what else to do, and after several heart tests, I stopped the Intrarosa. After 12 days, the AFib symptoms subsided. This morning, I awoke early and did an experiment with the Intrarosa and applied one half at 4:30 AM, then went back to bed. At 8:30 AM, when I got up, I noticed the familiar jitters, racing heart, and realized Intrarosa is what is making my heart have problems. I will no longer use Intrarosa."

For Dyspareunia "After two months of using Intrarosa, my hair is falling out like crazy! I started wondering if it was thinning a month into using the product, but by the second month, I was sure of it. So was my hairdresser. Hairs fall throughout the day, and washing it sends me over the edge with anxiety—so much comes out! I know this is not listed as a side effect, but I can think of no other reason for this to be happening. I’ve always had very thick hair until I began Intrarosa. I stopped using it a month ago, and the hair loss continues...."

For Dyspareunia "After 5 weeks on Intrarosa, and no improvement in my discomfort, I experienced a significant vaginal bleeding event one night, hours after inserting Intrarosa. I was very alarmed because I had no history of bleeding as a 64-year-old female. I stopped Intrarosa that night, and the bleeding stopped almost immediately. I have since used an all-natural product insert and feel so much better. I'm wondering if the Intrarosa played havoc with my estrogen level to the point of causing bleeding. I will never know, but hope this helps someone else in making their decision."

For Dyspareunia "I am 55 and have experienced terrible vaginal atrophy for 3 years. It has been so bad that it was difficult to sit down and drive. Impossible to wear fitted pants or have sex. I have tried almost everything: topical hormones and homeopathic remedies. I've been so desperate that I was willing to try anything. Many things would help a little, but not close to enough and they always irritated and caused other problems. It was a vicious cycle between bacterial vaginosis and yeast, but never just normal. I've been to my family practice doctor, pelvic pain specialist, dermatologist, and even my rheumatologist. I was finally prescribed Intrarosa, and it has changed my life! It works so well and no irritation! I'm so relieved and pleased with this product. Thank you!"

For Dyspareunia "I started using Intrarosa after it was suggested by my OBGYN. I used it every day for three months, and during this time I became very aggravated and mad at other people. I did not want any interruptions of any kind in my life. I gained 6 lbs.! I'm assuming that is because Intrarosa causes weight gain. The inserts are wrapped the opposite way as they should be. They should open from the bottom so you can stick the insert into the applicator without touching it. I used it at night as directed and did not have any problems with discharge except for the first time I urinated after inserting it. It did, however, take away all the pain I was having from sexual activity before and provided plenty of moisture when needed. I have also noticed my hairline receding and hair falling out. So my conclusion is... if I am fat and bald, nobody will want to have sex with me, so I am stopping Intrarosa. I would rather take something that has more clinical trials."

For Dyspareunia "After being off hormones, I could not have intercourse, it was too painful. I also suffered from incontinence and acute burning pain after urination, along with constant itching. My doctor prescribed Intrarosa, and after 2 months of daily use, I am again intimate with my husband without pain. No more incontinence or itching, a miracle really. But, I agree that the discharge is difficult to deal with. I put the suppository in at bedtime, usually get up once to urinate. I have purple stains on my toilet seat that are not removable, and on my sheets. I will have to wear underwear to bed with a pad. I always shower each morning, but have constant discharge, so wear panties and a liner each day. I wish the drug company would recommend a stain remover for their product. I have also experienced more hair loss in the past 2 months. I do feel that Intrarosa has restored my sexual intimacy in my 40-year marriage, and I am no longer incontinent of urine or having pain and itching."

For Dyspareunia "I have had painful sex for well over 10 years due to menopause. I was taking Estrace cream for a number of years, and it didn't help much. My doctor suggested Intrarosa. The discharge was horrible. I woke up to find my sheets were stained black. It took a while to figure out the stain was from my black panties spreading to the sheets, resulting from the discharge. I continued to use it for six weeks. I continued to experience a lot of discharge and then, after about a month, I noticed that my hair was excessively thinner. I was losing so much hair that my husband noticed that the vacuum was full every day and the roller was wound so tight with hair that he had to cut it off. I am lucky that I had extremely thick hair. It took about 3 months after I quit using Intrarosa before I returned to shedding normally. I can't say whether Intrarosa was effective for treating painful sex because my plan was to give it 3 months to become effective; however, I quit using it after six weeks."

For Dyspareunia "I’ve never written a product review. I have vaginal dryness and incontinence. Don’t be put off by the negative comments. Intrarosa can work wonders for a majority of women. I’ve never had stained clothing. I insert it as far in as possible before sleeping. It melts and is absorbed. Once it broke, and I put the two pieces into the applicator. In a few weeks, my pH level went from terrible to close to normal. Incontinence is improved. No side effects. I can no longer use the Estring (which is fabulous). I’m going to have surgery, and Intrarosa will rejuvenate the vaginal tissue to ensure the surgery is effective. (My internist says otherwise it’s like sewing Kleenex.)"

For Dyspareunia "This product actually works! I do use it a little differently than prescribed. I cut the suppositories in half and use one half a couple of times per week along with generic vaginal estrogen cream once or twice a week on alternating days. That regimen cuts down on my exposure to hormones, saves money, and is much less messy than a full dose of Intrarosa daily."

For Dyspareunia "After 2.5 years of constant vaginal irritation and multiple vaginal and urinary tract infections, my GYN prescribed these. I had tried Estrace with no change, and oral HRT was not helping vaginal symptoms either. Happy, ecstatic in fact to report that I finally have relief. No problems with discharge or staining, and so far no negative side effects. I'm on month 3 now."

For Dyspareunia "I'm only 45 and started having what at first seemed like a cross between a UTI and a yeast infection, but I was having no discharge. Soon after, I started having a constant pain, like everything down there was heavy, fatigued, and wanted to fall out. I also had no energy. My general practitioner tested for both UTI and yeast. Both were negative. After the exam, she said that she felt that my symptoms were related to starting menopause. My Ob/Gyn ran my annual labs plus tested my hormone levels, but she felt that I was too young for it to be that. Well, she was mistaken. She started me on Intrarosa 2 weeks ago, and in only a few days, most of the symptoms were gone. I can still feel a light burning sensation first thing in the morning, but it only lasts a short while and is very mild. But I didn't expect my body to heal completely in 2 weeks. I haven't had any of the side effects mentioned in other reviews, such as leaking, hair loss, or trouble sleeping."

For Dyspareunia "Immediately stopped using Intrarosa after 3 months and 2 weeks! I gained 14 lbs, started losing my hair on the top of my head! Had night sweats and hot flashes and felt so tired! I would take a 3-hour nap after work for nearly 2 weeks, and I did not figure out why until I stumbled upon this website! Nothing brought back what menopause had taken away from me, I told my honey that lust has given way to trust, and we are good."

For Dyspareunia "After total hysterectomy, even with estrogen/testosterone replacement, sex with husband more and more painful. Have been using Intrarosa for 2 months, and the difference is incredible. The only issue has been staining of cotton underwear. Soaking in bleach with hot water has helped a little."

For Dyspareunia "My OB-Gyn prescribed Intrarosa because my blood panel showed that I had a very low testosterone level due to being post-menopausal. My doctor claimed that this drug should be able to help me with my post-menopausal symptoms. I had reported having a low libido, weight gain, tiredness, mild depression, and anxiety. He told me that it would take 3-4 weeks to see any changes and/or effects being produced by this drug. I found that after a month of taking Intrarosa, I was even more exhausted than before. My libido didn't increase one bit, I gained ten pounds, and my depression and anxiety were exacerbated. I hope this drug has been able to help others. It did not help me."

For Dyspareunia "I am a 25-year-old female who has been on hormonal birth control pills for 8 years. After months and months of painful, stabbing intercourse, I found my doctor, who diagnosed me with vaginal atrophy due to the birth control pills. She prescribed me Intrarosa nightly along with topical testosterone and dilator treatment. Intrarosa is AMAZING. After a year of anguish, I am having normal intimacy again with continual Intrarosa use. When I stop using it and use it again, I notice that I am more arousable and even have dreams about sex. I would absolutely recommend this drug for anyone who struggles with painful intercourse. Anything you put in your vagina will leak out; put a towel underneath you after insertion. Also, check out to get a coupon online with an RX number; your first prescription of Intrarosa is free and every following prescription should be $25."

For Dyspareunia "This is my 3rd and final update all under the username Diana. I’m 58. I began using the product in mid-August 2018. My last post was in late November 2018 where I commented about how disappointed I was in the effectiveness at that time, having still no real change in my condition (very painful intercourse). Well, as of early December, things completely changed. I began to feel a significant reduction in pain and slowly over the course of the month, I felt remarkable improvement. It is now the end of January 2019, and I feel about 90% back to the “old me” before menopause. It’s amazing!! When I started Intrarosa, my husband could not penetrate me at all. ZERO. It was excruciating every time, so we stopped even trying. It took 4 months until it started to work for me, but I’m so glad I didn’t give up too soon. I’m thrilled with my results and after 5 months of daily use, I’m a real believer in this product, and zero side effects!"
