"Please, for the love of God, don't use this for skin around your eye. I was given a sample by my doctor because, for some reason, my condition just randomly appeared around my eyelids. I put it around my eyes like I was told, then 15 seconds later, I was hit with the most painful burning sensation I have ever had in my life. I'm a grown man, I have a high pain tolerance as well, and this made me want to scream. I had to rinse it off in the sink. Felt like someone threw battery acid on my face."

"I have moderate eczema on my neck and chest. I've been on Eucrisa for about 3 days, using it twice a day, and I've noticed a difference and also a decrease in itching. Beware though, it burns for the first 5 minutes if there's any skin that's slightly raw. I was able to push through it, and hopefully as time goes on, the burning will decrease."

"If you have eczema, you know all about the misery that comes with it. I tried oral steroids and extra strength antibacterial ointments, which worked until they were no longer in my system. I was able to try Eucrisa as a free trial. It's been a week, and my skin is considerably less cracked. I haven't taken an antihistamine in about 3 days because the itching has almost subsided. And I've been able to actually sleep for the last 4 nights. There's some stinging, but that has diminished with continued use. I'm not itching, which means no scratching and a chance to actually heal. So far, I'm very thankful for a break from the headache and stress and for the sleep. Hope this is lasting, though... can't pay $700 for the next tube."

"I've been using it less than a week and (fingers crossed) it seems to be working well. Noticeable difference in my eczema areas. I will continue to use this as it seems to work better than anything else non-steroid that I've tried. Hoping this will be a game changer for my skin and hope to get my son started on this too. Seems to be a great product so far."

"Had a random eczema/dermatitis flare-up on my upper left eyelid, right below my eye and my right upper lip (mustache area). Crazy itchy and looked awful. Dealt with it for about 6 months. Tried many different creams from Amazon and even something my derm recommended. Ended up going back to my derm, and they recommended Eucrisa. Like others said, it did burn a bit (I used it sparingly), I just fanned the spots of application, and the burn went away within about 5 mins. (Level 3 to 5 out of 10 pain) the next morning, I applied again, and by the nighttime, it already looked better. Put one more application on that night, and the next day it was 80% better. The burning only occurred the first couple of times. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Literally tried so many different creams. Even carried some in my pocket to control redness and itch. If you're having issues and nothing else is working, YOU MUST TRY THIS. I would recommend applying it in sections if you have bad pain."

"My 8-year-old daughter was prescribed Eucrisa by her pediatrician. 1st of all, the price is ridiculous. Why? Secondly, the burning sensation makes me feel awful about using it on her. The doctor said to use it for no more than 2 weeks, then come off for a week. But as soon as I take her off, the flare on her face is right back, sometimes worse than it was before. Been using it for 4 months now. Not seeing the results it states. Want to take her off and go back to hydrocortisone 2% ointment and lotion for her face and triamcinolone for her body. However, I'm leery about how bad the flare will be while waiting for Eucrisa to leave her system. I don't think I'd recommend this med."

"I was recommended to try the Eucrisa ointment by my dermatologist after suffering from severe eczema since birth. The cream stings a little as I apply it around my mouth, but it seems to be working so far. I'm going to update my comment in a week and see what happens. I would say to give it a try. Just apply a thin layer on the face with caution."

"I have mild atopic and have been using this ointment for over a week, applying twice a day. Have felt less itchy, however, no changes on my skin have cleared up. Since I'm dark skin, the spots are actually getting darker, which is strange. Don't know what all the hype was with this drug, but so far I am not impressed. Going to complete the treatment and post my verdict then."

"Moderate to severe eczema has haunted me for the past 30 years. I've used every ointment and cream available to some temporary success and steroids when the itching gets out of hand. Doc gave me Eucrisa a month ago that has proved to be a $700 false prophet. It clears up the rashes but not the itching. I look at my hands and think, Wow! So clear! then scratch the smooth skin 'til the blood runs cold. Hope this is not true with everyone. I wouldn't wish this condition on my worst enemy... well, maybe with the exception of one or two!"

"Eucrisa did not work at all, in fact, it made my skin a lot worse. I broke out in a horrible rash, as did the only other person I knew who had been given this from their dermatologist for eczema, like I was. It burns and leaves the skin worse than when it started. I do not understand how it is marketed as a miracle fix for eczema. I now understand why my insurance did not want to pay for this."

"Wow, I felt crazy until I read all the reviews on here! I’ve had eczema my entire life, but really only in my inner elbows (and flare-ups like seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp). But the past year, I have dealt with horribly intense eczema flare-ups also on my eyelids and around my entire eye. It is debilitating. I’ve been prescribed numerous different steroid creams, been told to change ALL of my products, etc. Nothing works completely (except honestly eating a healthy diet - no matter what my dermatologist says!). So she gave me a tiny sample of Eucrisa, and I put it on my eyelid. The second I did, it was the most excruciating stinging burning I have EVER felt in my life. I’m a grown woman, and I actually started screaming and crying, did not know what to do, and it wouldn’t stop!! I had to hop in the shower, wash it off, and hold a wet rag against my eye for 15 min as I tried to stop crying! No joke, do NOT use this product on or near your eye area!!!!!"

"This medicine caused me to break out worse than I have in 10+ years. I had very small patches I was trying to clear up, and now my entire arms, legs, and hands are swollen, puffy, and covered in rashes."

"This is an end-all cure-all for me. I have struggled with eczema my whole life. I had it really badly as a child, but it came back worse as an adult. Two years ago, I got an eczema rash so bad on my face my eyes swelled shut with scales. I looked like a lizard. I tried steroid creams, lotions, literally anything recommended. Nothing worked. I went to the doctor, and they gave me a test tube of Eucrisa. Within two days, all my eczema was gone. Anytime I get a flare-up now, I just put a little bit on, and it’s gone in a week tops. The only downside is the pain. I’m not going to lie, this stuff BURNS. It feels like your skin is on fire. It makes me cry every time. However, since my eczema is on my face, I tolerate the pain. I’m not sure if a child could though."

"I have suffered with moderate eczema for 25 years, mainly on my hands. I’m 39, female. I used steroid creams and ointments daily for 25 years. The steroid creams have eaten away my skin over the years. I have tried everything over the years to help relieve my eczema. The steroids have only reduced symptoms. My hands constantly had blisters, skin peeling off, cracks, swollen areas, bleeding, and hurt. They always hurt, ached, and itched. The itching kept me from sleeping. It’s caused me anxiety and depression and made me miserable until I had a friend give me a sample of Eucrisa. The Eucrisa stopped the itching immediately. Blisters started drying up after 1 application, and my cracks started to heal. No stinging or burning when the Eucrisa was applied, unlike the steroid creams. In 4 days, my hands were completely healed for the first time in 20+ years. I am so thankful. Bought a tube - best $70 I ever spent! I catch myself staring at my hands all the time. I forgot what they used to look like! Eucrisa changed my life!"

"This ointment creates a very intense burning/stinging sensation, difficult for me as an adult to tolerate. I suffered through the first application, the next day, the second application was even more intense, and I had to wash it off. PLEASE NEVER USE THIS PRODUCT ON A CHILD!!! The pain is too intense."

"I've had horrible eczema around my eyes for over 10 years. Using steroid creams resulted in cataract surgery in my right eye, and also the constant rubbing increased my astigmatism. I was worried about permanent vision loss. Started using Eucrisa, and in two weeks have seen a dramatic improvement! The skin, for the first time in 10 years, is almost back to normal. The itching and oozing are almost gone. The trick is to use very small amounts of the cream and rub it into the skin, especially in the most affected regions. There is some initial burning sensation, but even that has diminished as the skin heals. This medication is truly a godsend."

"After trying every OTC and most RX, was finally given very expensive Eucrisa. Eczema was all over face, red and inflamed. This was ongoing for two months. Area around lips and eyes were also very bad, with itching and scaling. After using this cream for less than a week, symptoms started to leave. Within three weeks, the entire face was clear. Unbelievable. Was so happy to find this."

"Two applications and my skin felt and looked better than it had in 10 years. Only thing that ever helped before was high doses of prednisone. Praying it continues to work. Priceless product. Been to numerous dermatologists and had numerous prescriptions. None of them ever even touched it. God bless this product."

"I used it for 4 weeks and saw no improvement. I saw 15% improvement with hydrocortisone, but only for a few weeks, then it got worse. I used frankincense oil with Vaseline for the same few weeks, and it's now almost gone. Thanks for nothing, Eucrisa. Save your $700 and doctor visit and get you some frankincense oil. But it's also not cheap. Around $100 per bottle, but a lot cheaper than the alternative."

"I have always been prescribed a mild steroid for my facial eczema, so I was happy to try Eucrisa as a steroid-free treatment for my face. The stinging and burning are so uncomfortable that I'm not sure the results are worth it for me. The medication does help calm down flare-ups and reduce any itching, but the pain for the first 5 minutes after application is so severe on my face that sometimes I have to just wash it off and try the next day. The site pain on the body is way more tolerable, and I do recommend it for that! Maybe my face is just too sensitive, but I'm going to keep trying."

"I have severe dyshidrosis eczema on my hands. I have used Clobetasol for years, but my insurance company decided it would no longer pay for it. So my doctor prescribed Eucrisa. My insurance actually agreed to pay $750.00 for a 60g tube of this. (Even though Clobetasol is half the cost.) There was some pretty intense burning initially, but it only lasted a few minutes. I'm on day 4 of treatment, and my hands are almost completely clear. They haven't been clear in almost 6 years!!!! No other medication has EVER worked as well as this does. I'm amazed! Still - it's so expensive that only people with good insurance can afford it. My co-pay was $40.00. And even though that's pricey for a tube of ointment, it's worth it!"

"As others have experienced, when applied to the face, this feels like acid. Perhaps because the skin is more sensitive here, the pain lasts about half an hour. After using daily for a few weeks, it hurts less, or it is quite possible my pain tolerance has increased... but the presumed areas of eczema haven't shown improvement. For this level of pain, I was expecting a better return. I'm giving it a full month, though, to work its magic."

"So I’ve had eczema problems my whole life, and I had gotten “rid” of it for some time, and then I had flare-ups on my eyelids, and it was bad. I looked like a monster as it spread. I used the sample size of this stuff, and it burned so bad (which I was warned of). I didn’t know if it was worth it, but then it was. It was completely gone in a week, and the better my condition, the less it burned until not at all. 100% would recommend, it works too well :)"

"Great experience thus far. I did have site pain, but it did not last long. I have no idea what happens after 28 days, do I stop using it altogether? Not a lot of information out there. Also, it is very expensive, close to $700 for 2 oz."

"If you're a masochist, this med's for you! Holy hell-fire in a tube, Batman. What makes a skin condition even worse? This medicine. I couldn't tell you whether or not this prescribed torture in a tube worked because I discontinued it after 2 applications. I've never encountered a medicine that makes me want to punch people in the face as much as this stuff did. You want others to experience the agony along with you. My doctor did advise refrigerating it to help with the 'discomfort.' Yeah, lies, all lies. I wasn't aware Pfizer was outsourcing the manufacturing of this cream from a fire pit!"
