Klonopin (clonazepam) "I had a health issue that presented severe anxiety 2 plus years ago. I tried a couple of SSRI's. They made me feel worse. This is the ONLY medication that helps me to feel normal. Also, battled insomnia for 15 years and took nothing for it. Now with Klonopin, I sleep. I also have a fear of medication / building up tolerance but the physical impact of stress I have been told is worse for my mind and body. The life-saving plus no side effect profile of this medicine is amazing. I just hope I can continue to take it long-term because without it, I would be in far worse shape. Thank you for all the rave reviews; nice to know I am not alone in my love for this medicine. And this is from a medication-averse, workout every day, eat right person."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I have been taking Klonopin for 5-6 years now. I think it is a wonder drug and I couldn't function without it. I have (social) anxiety disorder with a history of panic attacks many years ago. I generally take 0.25mg one to four times a day (as needed) and 0.5mg before bed as it helps me sleep. I cut my scored 0.5mg pills in half. My doctor has prescribed 2mg/day but I rarely exceed 1.5mg total and probably only average 1-1.25mg. In all the time I've taken it, I've never had a desire to increase it because it simply 'works' and makes me feel 100% normal with no side effects. I took Valium (diazepam) for many years but I always felt anxious as it was wearing off and before taking more. Klonopin doesn't have that effect on me probably because of the long half-life and the way I space it out. I fully expect to take it for the rest of my life."

"I am 34 years old and have been on clonazepam 0.5 twice daily since I was 19. I have never had any side effects and I can truthfully say that it has been an absolute lifesaver for me! I have anxiety disorders, depression, and PTSD. I highly recommend it if you have anxiety/panic attacks, and it does help me relax and sleep. I've also never had to increase my dose in all these years while taking them."

"There is so much negative information out there about benzos. I have been using them off and on for about 13 years. Ativan was always my go-to, but about a year ago, my primary care doctor suggested that Klonopin might be a better fit for my general anxiety because it lasts longer. I would agree. I am prescribed 0.5mg up to twice a day. I normally use less. 1/4 mg usually takes the edge off, and sometimes I take another 1/4 mg later in the day. I have taken it daily not exceeding my prescribed dose for months at a time. When my mind settles for whatever reason, I forget to take it, and I have never experienced any serious withdrawal. What I can share is that, although I don’t like relying on Klonopin, it keeps me functional when I fear I wouldn’t be otherwise. I can concentrate on tasks and get things done. I imagine that taking high doses of any benzos long term would lead to some challenges, but used in moderation, drugs like Klonopin can be a lifesaver."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I have been on Klonopin for 20 years. I've only had to up the dosage once, from 0.5mg to 1mg per day. Before I took it, I started having uncontrollable panic attacks, loss of appetite, lack of concentration. Klonopin worked instantly. I went from no appetite to being able to eat normally again. There has only been one short period in my life during those 20 years when my circumstances were so overwhelming that the panic attacks reoccurred, and I would sometimes take an extra dose. This medicine has been a lifesaver for me. In all those years, I have only lost 2 days of work because of anxiety-related illness. I thank the doctor who put me on this and who keeps monitoring me to see that I am OK."

"I was misdiagnosed for years with depression when the real culprit has been anxiety all along. I was put on every antidepressant, one after the other, and suffered horrible side effects from all of them. I finally gave up and went back to a life that was awful and stressed. I have severe social anxiety and now PTSD from so much medical mismanagement. I recently decided I had to try again, so I went to see a psychiatrist who actually listens to me. He started me on benzodiazepines, and my life is finally revealing itself to be enjoyable again. Some people just don't respond to SSRI meds, and we need the different stuff. I have no problems with clonazepam 0.5 mg 3x a day when I need it, and the sun is shining again for me after 20 years of being unheard and in fear. I'm well-educated on the risks and cautions, but I'm 70 years old, and if I need this for my remaining years, that's okay. Nothing else worked, some of it was dangerous, and I'm satisfied. I smile again."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I am on a maintenance dose of 1 mg three times a day along with a different Xanax 0.5 if I am having a panic attack. I'm agoraphobic and suffer from anxiety because of multiple reasons. I find Klonopin is an amazing medication that helps tremendously. I wouldn't have the life I have today."

"I have been taking clonazepam since 2018 for anxiety. I take it every day before work, and it helps a lot with the feeling that something bad is going to happen, helps with the feeling of doing everything wrong, jitters, etc. It has helped me tremendously, and I will be continuing to take this medication."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I started getting anxiety about a year ago out of the blue. I had to go to the ER because I thought I was dying or something. All my tests came back negative. The doctor told me it was an anxiety attack. I got sent home with nothing. A few days later I had another one. I went to my PCP and they put me on clonazepam. I try not to take them if I don't need it, but you never know when it may manifest. So I try to take half doses to make my script stretch and to also not be as dependent. I noticed that it works but to a lesser degree. I commute to school and work a full-time job so my mind is always running. In a nutshell, this medication works."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "The last 15 years of taking Klonopin have been a total improvement of my quality of life, and an improvement in anxiety to the point where I am like the friendliest guy in town, so to speak. Whereas before taking Klonopin, I had severe social phobia. As a result, the stress was definitely related to making me get cancer at 40 years of age. It works. Buspar and all the other more popular anti-anxiety meds did not work, and I don't want to stop taking Klonopin. William P."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "Have been prescribed a plethora of antidepressants and non-benzodiazepine anti-anxiety meds; all accompanied by horrendous, long-lasting side effects. Had a bad experience with a psychiatrist and also held a negative attitude toward being dependent on medication, therefore decided to be unmedicated for several (miserable) years. Eventually came to terms with the fact that I cannot properly function in society without medication. It took a while, but I have finally found a great combination of meds, including 0.5 mg of Clonazepam. Anxiety is better managed. Happy to no longer be missing out because of anxiety. Would recommend a low dose (prescribed by a doctor, of course) to someone that has tried multiple anxiety medications with no avail."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I've been taking 1mg of Klonopin daily for 3.5 years, after the sudden death of my father. At the time, my anxiety was a 10 and Klonopin allowed me to continue working and raising my 4 kids. I consider Klonopin an absolute miracle drug that probably saved my life. My psychiatrist, and 2 other consulted doctors, don't express the least amount of concern about using 1 mg of Klonopin daily perhaps indefinitely. However, I went 42 years without taking a prescription drug and it really is my hope to not need Klonopin for much longer. The notion that Benzos should not be taken beyond 4 weeks is purely irrational. Find a good doctor!!!"

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I have very bad anxiety attacks that occur at random. I take one in the morning and one at night and it helps me immensely. I believe it's a lifesaver; it brings tears to my eyes. It relieved the torture of daily anxiety attacks which caused me great depression."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I first tried Buspar for my generalized anxiety disorder, and after several weeks, gave up on it. I decided to work with my psychiatrist instead of my GP. He agreed to let me try Klonopin. Wow. I only take 1 mg a day but I feel 90% recovered to my old self. I am more social again, working on my novel, doing well at work, handling stress well, having a lot more fun and joy. I've been on it for 3.5 weeks and hopefully can stay on it permanently. I know one needs to be cautious with it."

"I've been taking clonazepam (2mg/day) for the past 8 years to treat GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and panic disorder, and it's been nothing but a blessing. At first, the side effects were fairly potent with grogginess and poor coordination being the most prevalent. After a couple of weeks, they subsided, and the medication fully alleviated any uneasy/anxious emotions, thoughts, and/or physical feelings. I was no longer caged in my room, fearing anything and everything outside of my comfort zone."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "Recently I had a rough bout with anxiety. From out of nowhere, I just lost faith in myself due to some life circumstances and an overload of work. I was losing sleep and spiraling downward at an amazing rate. I decided to talk to my doctor who prescribed Klonopin. With the first dose, I felt immediate relief, and to avoid dependency, I only took 0.25 mg at night until I was started on an SSRI. My doctor favored the SSRI approach as better in the long run. After three months on Klonopin every day, and after the SSRI kicked in, I stepped off the Klonopin without any withdrawals like you read about on the internet. I think the key is to take the lowest dose you can or only as prescribed. The medicine worked wonders for me!"

"I started struggling with symptoms unbeknownst to me and my GP as crippling anxiety at 9 months postpartum and was prescribed Celexa. After 2 days of taking it, I was hospitalized. That was when I was introduced to a wonderful postpartum psychiatrist who listened to my concerns and wishes to continue breastfeeding. That’s when I was first introduced to clonazepam. I started slowly with 0.25mg twice daily. After taking that first tablet, I felt complete relief and couldn’t even cause myself anxiety when trying my hardest. I cried and cried that I wanted to be around my family again and hold my babe, not just nurse her. I continued taking clonazepam and seeing my psychiatrist for the following 3 years. I did need to up my dose to 2mg three times daily. However, when we were ready for baby #2 and wanting another successful homebirth with our midwife team and doula, I knew I needed to be on 0.5mg three times daily and slowly tapered down to 0.25mg twice daily. I surpassed my goal, had my homebirth, and have been on clonazepam again at 2mg three times daily for 16 years happily!"

Before taking this I would not make eye contact with people was always worried about little things and had ruminating and intrusive thoughts. I was also initially prescribed this for sleep but it does not really make me tired even at the max dose. but great for anxiety and panic disorders"

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I love Klonopin. When I was going through an extremely hard custody case with my ex-husband, my doctor prescribed the Klonopin. She scheduled it up to 3 times a day. I used it too. It helped me face my fears and stand up for myself for once. Once that was over, she scheduled it on 1.0 mg as needed up to 3 times a day. I still have the script. I do use the Klonopin only when I'm in a situation that I need help relaxing. I know I need it at those times. When I take it, I feel great. If I didn't need it but thought I did, all it would do is make me tired. It's been 3 years of PRN Klonopin & I know when I need it and when I don't. For those who feel this could be abused, my response is if the person really needs it, Misuse wouldn't happen."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I was prescribed Klonopin to get me through anxiety exacerbated by starting on Lexapro. It is a benzo and therefore highly addictive so I was very careful about taking it as little as possible. I found it to be very effective, and one tablet would actually keep me calm for around 36 hours (it has a very long half-life). I did not feel side effects and didn't feel drunk or disoriented. It was effective for me but needs to be used with care."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I started off taking Klonopin after developing severe panic attacks 20 years ago. It was a lifesaver for me! I took it for 15 years and weaned myself off of it with no problems. I am back on it now after 5 years of not taking it due to recent life events that started the anxiety back up. I take 1 mg tablets up to twice a day. I've never had any of the horrifying withdrawals that other people complain of. Klonopin definitely works for me."

"I started experiencing minor sexual side effects after using this for a couple of months. I take 3 mg daily divided into 3 times a day (1/1/1). It makes it harder to get and maintain an erection, which is not a good thing to have in my early twenties. I'm considering stopping it because even lower doses barely provide anxiety relief. It's not a serious issue, but it has reduced my desire for sex to every 3-4 days minimum, and even then, I only engage in it a few times instead of multiple rounds. This is not something I would like to have in my early twenties. I did a blood test, and everything is functioning healthily. I know the medication is causing these issues. Anxiety still affects my libido, but I have never experienced erectile problems like this before."

Klonopin (clonazepam) "I had been on Zoloft for about a year or so which helped manage my anxiety, but didn't help when it came to a very stressful day or event that led to side effects like racing heart, labored breathing, sweating, stomach ulcers, etc. I needed something that I could take immediately to stave an anxiety attack off. My doctor prescribed Klonopin and I'm so grateful for it. For me, it doesn't make me tired, lethargic, or dull me down. I was afraid of a medication that would just sedate me. This drug takes the edge off and makes me feel good enough to continue with my day. I haven't had any side effects."
