For Acne "Having suffered from adult acne my whole life, I have finally found something that works, in fact, it has changed my life. I used to suffer from pimples and blackheads that were made worse by hormones but persisted my whole cycle and took a long time to heal if I picked them. I use Clindatech before bed, with a layer of 5% Benzac on top and then coconut oil! My skin hasn't been this good since I was on the pill. Now I'm not taking any harmful medication, and my confidence has been restored. Try it!! I hardly get any pimples now, and if I do, they are totally gone in a couple of days."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "My doc gave me Clindesse as a last resort to my 6-month vaginal discharge issue. Luckily, she gave me a free sample. I inserted it on Wednesday night, and by Friday afternoon, I had a raging yeast infection! Called the doc back, and she prescribed Diflucan to counteract the Clindesse-induced yeastie. This changed my ongoing symptoms for the worse! Ladies, I sincerely hope this med works for most of you, but for me, it didn't. For being someone who has never had side effects of any meds, this was certainly a first for me."

For Acne "I have been using clindamycin gel with CeraVe face wash for a few days now. I have inflammatory, hormonal acne all over my face. The only area that it is not on my face is around my eyes where sunglasses would cover. It's on my cheeks in full, chin, around my mouth, my forehead, and beside my eyes. It is also on my back. I am a 31-year-old female. This gel has already helped reduce the redness and acne after just a few days. My face has calmed down. I have the type of acne that clears up with oral antibiotics too, but I can't be on that for a variety of reasons: pregnancy and breastfeeding, etc. I am not sure how this will pan out over several months; I hope to come back and update. This did dry my lips, but that recovered after a few days. Get some chapstick. There was a slight burn when beginning this RX. I do use facial moisturizers regularly. I also was able to put makeup on top of this in the morning to wear to work, and it worked out fine."

For Acne "My face is super sensitive, so when my doctor recommended this to me, I was scared my face would break out more or get excessively dry. It has already been a week, and my face is almost clear, and the size of my acne has reduced tremendously. The first few days were the toughest for me because it seemed like my face wasn't getting any better since my acne wasn't reducing, and some new ones appeared. I told myself to wait it out (mainly because this stuff is more on the expensive side). I am so glad I did! This product was $52 for me, but even after a week, it looks like I barely used it because it takes a while to go through."

For Acne "Since I started using this cream, I am relieved from pimples, and I noticed one thing: in some pimples, it takes a long time to work, so it's not going to work always in 3 days. Sometimes it takes more than 3 days, it depends on the size of the pimple and how infected it is. Keep on using it, and it will work."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I've used all antibiotics, both orally and vaginally, for BV, including this one. They all work, but the recurrence rate is very high. The reason is Gardnerella, the bacteria that causes BV, creates a biofilm to protect itself from the antibiotics. I finally found a doctor who prescribed this drug but had me use boric acid suppositories starting the first day on the antibiotics for a total of twenty-one nights. According to the CDC, boric acid destroys the biofilm so the antibiotic can work and also restores the healthy acidic pH balance in the vagina so the good bacteria (lactobacillus) can keep the bad bacteria (Gardnerella) in check. As a maintenance plan, I use either clindamycin or Metrogel every night for five nights for six months and boric acid suppositories two nights a week. Amazon sells the suppositories. The key to stopping the hamster wheel of chronic BVs is to not just rely on one course of treatment but also to do maintenance."

For Acne "Within 1 and a half months, my skin was looking so much clearer. I went from having little bumps and small cysts all over my cheeks to mostly smooth skin with a few bumps and scars. I rated this 8/10 because I still have some recurring bumps, as this product mostly just got rid of my open acne versus preventing more from happening."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "I did have bacterial vaginosis. Doctors were treating me for a yeast infection. No one did a culture. They even gave me Metronidazole, 4 pills in one shot. I developed sensitivity to it. Clindesse cream was smooth, calmed my symptoms, and with only one-time application, my nightmare was gone."

For Acne "I've started and still am taking this medicine 12 weeks ago, along with minocycline. The fourth week I was using it, I thought it got worse, but I kept with the product, and over time I saw a major improvement from the first day I took it. It burned and dried out my face the first week, but after that my face was fine. Most of my acne is either gone, light red, or scars, so I'm going back to the dermatologist next week to see what they can do about it. I definitely recommend this product!"

For Acne "I have had bad acne since I was 12. By the time I was about 20, I had tried many face washes and acne creams, and nothing worked. Some dermatologists only recommended taking strong oral medication, but the side effects were too severe, and I did not want to take a chance. I went to a different dermatologist and was finally prescribed clindamycin 1% topical cream (twice a day), and tretinoin 0.025% (once a day at night). I eventually went up to tretinoin 0.1%. I now do the weaker tretinoin every 3 days, while the other days I use the stronger one. My skin has never been this clear - I rarely ever have even one pimple on my face. The only downside is that your skin gets really dry, but if you use face masks and cream (especially Korean face masks), the dryness goes away. I might get a few pimples during PMS, but barely any, and only sometimes. I'm extremely pleased that I finally found something that works for me."

For Acne "I have 'backne,' and this product works pretty well at keeping it from flaring up. My dermatologist recommended it over products such as Differin since it's so easy to spread -- even if you have hair back there. I don't notice any dryness or stomach problems. It does burn the first couple of times you use it, but that goes away. If you apply it to your back, make sure you also get some kind of tool to reach back there (unless you're lucky enough to have a significant other that will apply it for you). My dermatologist gave me a long stick with a pad on it."

For Acne "I am 17 years old and I have had cystic acne since I was around 12. Just a week ago, I started using Taro-clindamycin alongside minocycline and Retin-A cream. Within the first week of using these prescriptions, my face is clearing right up, my skin does tend to get dry, but once I wash my face, it goes away. This has been a wonder drug. I hope it continues to boost the results!"

For Perioral Dermatitis "Was prescribed a Clindagel for PD. Really didn’t do much at all. I know everyone is different, but I honestly wouldn’t waste too much with this. Violet extract dried it up in a couple of days. Also went to a Chinese doctor (TCM) and got herbal tea that has helped a lot! Elidel helps bring down flares as well, but is not a cure."

For Acne "I really got slammed with acne this summer, and my mom was starting to worry because my forehead was covered in pimples. When I went to the doctor for my physical this year, my mom told her about the acne. I have tried many facial cleansers and products to no lasting effects. My doctor said she could prescribe me a lotion to help, so I took her up on the offer. Within a week, my acne had already cleared up. I haven't been on the treatment long, but I do it every day and have had no bad side effects. My skin is clearer than it has been for months!"

For Acne "I used this item for about 2 years. It worked wonders and brought my breakouts to a minimum, and almost nonexistent with a consistent regimen (along with Cetaphil facial cleanser, Retin A cream at night, and a Caudalie Vinoperfect serum). Basically, within the first 2 months of using it, it felt like my acne was getting worse, but I think my skin was just purging, and afterwards, I basically never had breakouts anymore."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "I was experiencing a horrible BV. I would be embarrassed because I was having a bad odor and felt sweaty with discharge. I informed my gyn when I got my annual Pap. He prescribed me Clindesse and gave me a coupon for it, $75 off!!! I ended up paying $35 out of pocket. I got home that evening, showered, and inserted the medication. I took it on Tuesday, and today is Thursday, and so far, no discharge, no foul odor, no sweat. So relieved. I was only wondering if the medication would come back out or have a nasty discharge like the other reviews I read. I would recommend this medication."

For Acne "I’m 20 years old and have been having horrible acne breakouts. They are so red and inflamed. If I popped them, then they would only get worse and multiply. My doctor prescribed me the 1% clindamycin phosphate pledgets. I used them every morning and night after washing my face. I did this for around 4 months. The pledgets only lasted me 1 month, and it was getting pretty costly. I then switched to the 1% clindamycin phosphate gel, and it has done wonders for my skin. I used to breakout all over my face, and the pimples would never go away. Now I maybe get 3 small ones around the time of my period. But the topical also helps to reduce the redness and inflammation when my acne was super bad. I finally feel comfortable enough to leave my house without any makeup on. The only reason I give it a 9/10 is that I’ve noticed my skin is more shiny and oily."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "I took Clindesse 14 days ago, and it has made my life a living nightmare! OMG, the side effects have been severe for me. I inserted it in the evening on a Sunday, and by mid 4 PM Monday, I started to feel irritability. Prior to the medicine, I did not have itching or a burning sensation. My vagina felt like it was on fire. I went to the restroom, and I saw the thickest cottage cheese-like discharge. My vulva was swollen as well. I went online to see side effects, and boom, I experienced the majority of them. The attending clinic where I had been treated and diagnosed hasn’t been responsive in scheduling an immediate follow-up. Meanwhile, it’s been 14 days, and the discharge has gone from intense to mild, but it is still present. Because I can’t take over-the-counter meds, I have been holistic to soothe my vulva from the chafing, burning, itching, and swelling. I miss my balanced pH vagina prior to BV."

For Acne "This medication is amazing. My daughter first started using it for moderate acne. It cleared her skin in a matter of days. I was so impressed, I decided to make an appointment and try it for myself. I have been using Differin gel (which definitely makes a difference), salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide for some time. It helped, but didn’t clear my acne completely. In the past, I have been on Accutane, Retin-A, and a host of other medications for moderate acne with occasional large, painful cysts. Acne was the bane of my existence. Within a couple of days of using the clindamycin, my skin completely cleared. I use it twice daily in combination with Differin, benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid. For the first time, I don’t worry about having acne. As long as I’m using this, I don’t break out anymore at all. Best acne medication ever, personally speaking."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I inserted this last night, and it's been burning and itching ever since. Tonight, the burning and itching are so bad that I feel like going to the emergency room. I feel like someone poured acid in my vagina. I don't even know how I'm going to get any sleep tonight. Why would my doctor even take a chance at prescribing this for me?"

For Acne "Got this clindamycin that you apply to your face for my facial acne (mild acne), hoping that it would clear everything up, but it didn't. It did nothing for my acne and possibly made it worse. I've been using it for around 4-5 weeks now and am going back to the doctor to try something different. Would not try it again."

For Acne "I have been using clindamycin every morning after cleansing my face almost religiously for almost 4 months, and I have seen no improvement in my acne. I use Differin gel at night and still no help. All the other reviews say they saw results in days, but I still get many breakouts. Also, I'm almost 18, and I just started about 6 months ago breaking out this bad. I had occasional pimples growing up, but nothing bad, then all of a sudden my face has gotten really bad."

For Acne "Have been using the lotion form of clindamycin for about a week. It's working wonderfully. The only drawback is that it makes my skin somewhat oily, but not enough to be a big problem. It's the only thing that I have used that's actually working so well."

For Acne "Works wonders for my acne, but it takes a while for positive results to occur. I use it twice a day for two weeks straight whenever I get a recurrence of breakouts. Works so much faster and better when used in conjunction with Benzoyl Peroxide. For convenience, I recommend BenzaClin, a double-action gel that contains both Benzoyl Peroxide and clindamycin as active ingredients."

For Acne "I started developing acne when I moved to the USA. I do not know why, but I could blame the food, environment, hypothyroidism, an irritation after bleaching my hair, or those brushes that a girl used on me that were dirty. Honestly, I don't know. It has been a month already since I started with clindamycin 1% lotion day and night, or sometimes in the middle of the day if I come back home early and I will be there for the rest of the day. I clean my face and do clindamycin. I have not gotten the same amount of acne that I used to, I still get some. My skin seems to be clearing up, and I am getting less, so it is working. However, I still have 2 months to see. I am positive that it will work, but not sure what happens when I get off."
