Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "If this could be marked in the negative, I would be marking it as so. My GP gave me a sample as it costs $85 in Aust. I asked what the warnings were on this product, and he said, 'I'm not sure, but the leaflet should tell you.' In my opinion, if doctors don't know the basics of what they prescribe or even look it up, then don't prescribe it!!! I used it for nearly a week, and then all of a sudden it felt like my cheeks were on fire and my face went itchy. In the last 24 hours, my face, which had mild rosacea and pustules, has exploded into a burning, itchy mess. I have been in tears all day, and now knowing when I put makeup on so I can leave the house burns even more, I am devastated. I need to take and pick up my son from school... how can I face people."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "My rosacea is only noticeable/active during the winter and after hot showers. I was mostly being vain when asking for this and truly learned my lesson. I used Mirvaso twice (pea-sized amounts), and while it made getting ready in the morning easier for those two days because it worked almost instantly, on the third day my face was a plum. I had dark purple-ish welts/bumps all over my cheeks. Later, my entire face was red, swollen, burning, itching for 2 weeks. Absolutely nothing worked to make the burning redness stop (Benadryl, soothing creams, natural remedies). I never in my life experienced anything this terrible. It's been a while, but I feel like I still have an uneven complexion in comparison to before."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "A dermatologist prescribed Mirvaso to me for my rosacea, and it cost nearly $80 for the tube. I used it for 2 days, and my face swelled up and blistered, and I got a rough, itchy, shocking rash. My face looked terribly burnt, and I stopped using it immediately. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Started using Mirvaso, the first 3 days it worked great. Was so pleased, but as the days went by, it started to leave my face red and itched, so this was and is not the med for me. Now have to wait it out to see if my color goes away."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I had used Metrogel for years, but it didn't seem to be making a difference anymore, so I went to a derm, and he prescribed Mirvaso. I should have walked away when I saw the price! The first couple of days I used it, my face and along my hairline itched. Redness increased, and acne appeared. I stayed with it for two weeks; the flushing got worse, and my face burned, along with my ears and neck. Acne increased. But the worst effect was the headaches. I have migraines that I finally was able to manage with two prescriptions. The derm didn't tell me a side effect of Mirvaso. Did the FDA approve this?"

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I'm a 54-year-old man that started having dermatitis upon return from a deployment to Iraq. After trying a variety of medications, I was told that I have rosacea. I tried Mirvaso on one side, and it seemed to clear my face. After trying it for several days, I noticed my face turning extremely red and itching. I cannot use this and am heading back to the dermatologist."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Not good. The first few days were fine, though not overly impressive. After that, more redness and itching. It also doesn't appear to be compatible with any of the moisturizers I have tried. I've stopped using it, and my face is less red and much better. $20 in the garbage. I would not recommend this to anyone. And judging by all the others with issues, I'm surprised it's still on the market."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I can only agree with many of the comments that have been made here, and I also wish I had read the comments before starting this drug. My rosacea was more or less under control, but due to an illness and stress in my family, I had a flare-up, so my doctor recommended I try Mirvaso gel. After 2 weeks, I now have redness all over my face, the worst it has ever been, so much so that it is embarrassing to go out. My face is hot and sometimes itchy, and I have now thrown this expensive gel away."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Do not use this product! I had/have all the same negative symptoms listed below by others. In addition, I had massive migraine headaches, sore throat, runny nose, stomach issues, itching in areas I did not use the product, acne, dry eyes, and a sty. I reported these issues to the FDA and highly suggest you do the same. They will re-evaluate the product if they have enough reports."

For Rosacea "Seriously not recommended! I got prescribed Mirvaso for mild/moderate rosacea on my cheeks a week ago. I’m male, 35, white European. First day using a pea-sized amount seemed promising, my whole face went white like a ghost. Great! Third day I used it, I stopped as my face was turning red and hot soon after applying a pea-sized amount. I've not used Mirvaso for 4 days now, and my rosacea has spread to both full cheeks and my nose, and my face is bright red, hotter, and itchier than ever. I seriously hope I’m not permanently scarred by this awful stuff."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "This 'magic' drug works. But you pay a price in pain, itching, severe redness the next day. All much worse than the original symptoms. READ THE WARNINGS. Vanity is not worth the price of this medication."

For Rosacea "Having this cream prescribed to me by my doc, I noticed no difference in the redness of my skin in the beginning (maybe worse redness if anything). After using it for several days, my face became extremely red, very itchy, sore, sensitive, and my face became swollen, so I called my doc, and she told me to stop using it immediately. After that, I had another bad experience with another cream, so I stopped using that one and decided to go back to the Mirvaso, and I started noticing positive changes in my skin. My face would turn white and normal. I have been using Mirvaso daily for two years, I have my good days, and I have my really bad days. It severely affects my life just in every way possible."

For Rosacea "I used this on and off for 3 years. It worked great for a couple of months, and then I started getting hives, peeling skin, and intense itching. I went to 3 dermatologists who kept telling me it wasn't from the Mirvaso, so I continued to use it (more and more each month). I was at the derm's office every 6 weeks, miserable. I've been on steroids way too often and ended up in the hospital with low blood pressure and low heart rate. All, I believe, from the Mirvaso. I walked into the 4th derm's office 3 months ago, and the first thing he said was it's a very bad reaction from Mirvaso. It was to the point where my skin was so bad all the time I didn't want to leave the house. I was very depressed. My face is now cleared up with a little red here and there, but I'll live with that. Please don't try this drug. Not enough doctors are familiar with the side effects and how horrible they are for almost every person. That 4th derm I saw was a blessing. I feel like I got my life back."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Avoid believing these negative reviews! I used it once and had amazing results, my face looked nearly unflushed! I used it again the next day, but 12 hours later, I looked at my face in the mirror, and it looked like I've got second-degree burns. It made my rosacea worse and made it appear in places I'd never had it before (the side of my eyes). I took a cold shower, and it went down. 36 hours later, my face is tingling, I look like I'm more sunburnt than usual, and my face is tingling."
