Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I had used Metrogel for years, but it didn't seem to be making a difference anymore, so I went to a derm, and he prescribed Mirvaso. I should have walked away when I saw the price! The first couple of days I used it, my face and along my hairline itched. Redness increased, and acne appeared. I stayed with it for two weeks; the flushing got worse, and my face burned, along with my ears and neck. Acne increased. But the worst effect was the headaches. I have migraines that I finally was able to manage with two prescriptions. The derm didn't tell me a side effect of Mirvaso. Did the FDA approve this?"

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I read all the reviews, hopeful I wouldn’t be one of the ones with awful side effects! DO NOT use Mirvaso! The first day it was like a magic cream, and the redness was gone for 10 hours. Second day, about 6 hours, and then my face would be redder than when I applied it. After a week of use, I decided to not even use it, and my face has been bright red and swollen, and I have had a headache all day! My face feels like it is on fire! Nothing I do works to calm it, and it is only getting worse, not better. I will NEVER use Mirvaso again! Don’t use this awful cream!"

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Only got this gel last week. After three days of using it, my face flared up. My cheeks and nose have been burning for two days now. I am so embarrassed at work. Despite the expense of the cream, I have stopped using it immediately. I also had a splitting headache and racing heartbeat. I hope the burning will go away. I feel so stupid for not reading reviews in advance, I simply trusted a clinician."

For Rosacea "So it's called ONRELTEA here in Canada. The first few times I used it, it took the redness away for a few hours, and I had no reaction to it. I used it on and off for a while, still with no side effects, until one day when it was wearing off in the evening, my cheeks started to get super red and blotchy. I didn't think much of it until the next evening when my face got extremely red and felt like it was on fire, my cheeks and nose were throbbing and so painful that I had to put a cold cloth on my face and go to bed. I hadn't even used the gel that day at all. It started happening again on the 3rd evening, so I went straight to bed as I didn't want to deal with the pain again. My face was redder than it ever was for the next couple of weeks. I haven't used this gel since and probably won't ever again. It's such a shame because this could be the best thing to happen to rosacea sufferers if it didn't have these awful side effects."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I applied this cream as directed for four days before accidentally forgetting to apply it on the fifth day. By lunchtime of this day, my face had turned purple, with huge welts across my face. My face was also burning and stinging. I also had a thumping headache, stomach upset, and ectopic heartbeats. It took me a few hours before I realized it was a rebound effect from the Mirvaso cream. I then searched reviews of this cream online and was horrified to find hundreds of people who had had the exact same experience as me. I was then terrified that my skin would not return to normal. I spent two further nights with Sudocrem all over my face while it burned throughout the day and night. Even a week later, my skin has not completely returned to normal. It is much redder and is still burning."
