For Bacterial Skin Infection "Be warned: the lidocaine concentration in bactine max is too high. I had been using the original spray since the 80s, but I had a huge incident after trying the max spray. It will absorb rapidly. I had a serious overdose/allergy after using it on some hiking cuts, wheezing, closed throat, panic. I was about 90% ready to have a friend take me to the ER. I ended up having to see an allergist. I suspect it was more of a rapid metabolizing situation rather than a true allergy, but it scared me pretty bad. The stress of this incident also kicked off an existing autoimmune flare. Now I'm not allowed to have dental lidocaine either. DO NOT LET KIDS NEAR THIS. I literally do not know what would happen if a little kid dumped a whole bottle on themselves."
