For Migraine Prevention "Qulipta is my miracle drug. I rarely have migraines & take a Ubrelvy if I do, and it’s gone in an hour. I’m on 30 mg due to bad nausea with 60 mg. I did get migraines again with COVID, and Qulipta stopped working for a short time, but the doctor gave me a nerve block (simple in-office, few tiny needles) and was back to normal with Qulipta working again. Highly recommend!!! I have my life back!!"

For Chronic Migraine "I see so many comments about this not working. Here’s my take as someone with chronic daily complex migraines with aura (who’s tried most other medications). 1. Try it for 1 month straight at 60mg. Take it at the same time of day. 2. Severe nausea at first (2 weeks). It will lessen. 3. Bad constipation. You need to drink at least 1L of liquids per day, take 100mg of a stool softener and eat fiber. If you don’t, bowel movements will be hard to pass. 4. It will begin to reduce your migraines slowly after week 3. I still get them daily, but both the aura and pain are less."

For Migraine Prevention "Started 60 mg of Qulipta for chronic migraines post-COVID. Day 7, I can hardly function. Severe fatigue and anxiety and nausea. I can't tell any difference yet on the effectiveness of preventing migraines. I will try to not give up yet, but my blood pressure is also elevated."

For Chronic Migraine "I just recently started taking Qulipta 60 mg. I received samples from my neurologist. I was doing really well with Botox plus Vyepti, and then I had a stroke. Right after the stroke, my migraines went back to every day, and the best I could do was to tamp the pain, nausea, confusion, light, and noise sensitivity a little bit. We decided to try something different. So I started Qulipta. Three days in, I knew something was different. Even with allergy season and sinus congestion, I can almost stop the pain with a little cold medicine or dual-action medicine. I am able to think and concentrate on daily chores and paying bills. I was already tired from trouble sleeping, and Qulipta makes that worse, so I sometimes need to go back to bed after breakfast for a couple of hours; I have moved to take the Qulipta in the evening, and that is a little better."

For Migraine Prevention "I have New Daily Persistent Headache (NDPH). I’ve been on Qulipta for 2.5 months, and at first, it was great! Went 10 days without a headache. Then they began to creep back in. Month two - I had two migraines, which I haven’t had in about 10 years. I went off for a couple of days. Migraines went away. Then took it again, first two days I had headaches and then another migraine. I also can’t take it at night because it gives me insomnia. When I take it in the morning, I sometimes have a histamine reaction like I have a bad cold for several hours, and my eyes feel swollen, and I get constipation and nausea. I was hopeful at first, but I think it’s a no for me."

For Chronic Migraine "I have been suffering daily migraines, constant sweating, nausea, and vertigo-type symptoms since taking a baseball to the head 7 years ago. Took all the shots and Botox, and nothing worked. Started Qulipta 60 mg approximately 6 months ago and have gone to 75% fewer migraines. My side effects are vivid dreams and not feeling hungry, though I haven’t lost anything (my own fault). It has been a life-changing drug. Doesn’t appear to work with weather changes, but I have other pills for that."

For Migraine Prevention "Qulipta was prescribed to me for migraine headaches. I have headaches that vary according to a pain scale of 4-9 about an average of 12 times a month, with auras of both photophobia and photophobia, numbness and tingling in my face, body fatigue, nausea, and dizziness. Qulipta has helped diminish the headaches but also caused me to be extremely tired and dizzy from time to time. I was officially put on the highest dosage (60 mg) of Qulipta in the beginning, and the neurologist lowered the dose to (30 mg). The higher dosage of 60 mg caused me to not be able to function. I would sleep for 3-4 days straight, I would not be hungry or thirsty during that time because I was sleeping all the time. Pulling back on the dosage to 30 mg daily has helped me greatly. I have not been taking Qulipta for very long. I hope this continues to work. One other problem that I have with Qulipta is $$$. I had to go through many different medications before approval by my insurance company."

For Migraine Prevention "I am taking Qulipta as a replacement for Fioricet. It works, though not as well. It also has more side effects, causing significant fatigue, constipation, and nausea. I am hoping that the side effects lessen after taking Qulipta for a bit longer as I have only been on it 2-3 weeks. If the side effects do not reduce, the limited benefit of somewhat reduced headache intensity and frequency will not outweigh the detriment of the side effects."

For Migraine Prevention "I've had nothing but fantastic results from Qulipta. I've been taking 30 mg/day for over two years. My headaches have been reduced by at least 80%, and if I do get one, it's not very bad. I take half a Maxalt or even OTC meds, and it's gone. My neurology nurse practitioner who prescribed it says that she hears this a lot, and she doesn't hear of side effects. The most frequent side effects are nausea and constipation, and I had both of those problems before I started taking it. I haven't gotten any worse with those things, so I can accurately say 'no side effects for me.' I couldn't be happier. Just amazing."

For Migraine Prevention "It worked to block pain, but I still had other symptoms (light sensitivity, nausea). After a few weeks, I was so tired I could barely function. As soon as I stopped taking it, I felt normal again."

For Migraine Prevention "My migraines have reduced, and I have lost 10 lbs in the first month. The nausea sucks, and I tend to not eat as much as I used to."

For Migraine Prevention "Qulipta has been life-changing. I used to get roughly 20 migraines per month, but now I might get 1 or 2 max. I also get very few non-migraine headaches now. I used to have them daily. I use a fraction of NSAIDs I used to. When I first started taking Qulipta, I had some nausea for about 2 weeks but not anymore. I have noticed that I don’t overeat as much so I gradually lost 10 of my extra lbs. I am getting much more done day-to-day without the migraines, and do not need to contend with the side effects of all the triptans I used to take. I do not seem to be as sensitive to migraine triggers. Have not noticed any mood changes or constipation (but I still take a daily magnesium supplement and drink a lot of water, so that may help out). It’s a humongous relief to find a preventative that works since the old options gave me such bad side effects and didn’t really work (beta-blockers, tricyclics, anti-seizure medications, etc.). I really feel like myself again, after so many decades."
