Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "Went to the ER for fever and strep throat. My back was hurting very badly as well. I was prescribed a few things, but Tylenol 3 for pain. It makes me very groggy and sleepy, and I like that because I'd rather sleep the day away than sit up. Makes me kind of dizzy, but not too bad. Works well for pain and sleep."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I use this for my pancreatitis, NASH, and inflamed spleen. I have other health issues as well. Currently, this works far better than Vicodin or Darvocet. Those two did nothing for me with the pain, this at least takes the edge off, though. At times, it does make me sleepy and drowsy at work."

For Pain "My 8-year-old son was given this after his molar extraction. We hesitated to give it to him, but that was expected. Afterwards, he didn't complain of pain, didn't think it would be that effective. He did, however, complain about feeling sleepy and drowsy and wanting to get up and play."

For Pain "Dulled the toothache after my root canal infection got fixed. Did not take it completely away. I couldn't eat either. Made me too sleepy to drive and, possibly, grouchy (that could have been from the procedure too). Easy to use."

For Pain "Tylenol 3 was given to me to try for back pain. I might as well have been given candy pills, it did not work at all for pain. If you take anything with codeine, make sure you eat first. All it did for me was make me sleepy and sick. I now take Tramadol for pain, it works great."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I got bucked off my horse on Sat and had to go to the ER. I can barely move, and they gave me this for pain, and I haven't had one ounce of relief from pain. All it does is make me sleepy."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I was given this in the hospital after giving birth. It only dulled the pain. Still couldn't walk, turn over, etc. The sleepy side effect was good; it helped me relax."
