Effexor (37. 5 mg venlafaxicine hcl tablet) with trazodone added for sleep.Is it safe?

Is it safe to take effexor with trazodone (at night for sleep). I heard it is prescribed as a natural sleep aide. I'm just worried if it is safe to take these two drugs and if trazodone works for sleep? Does anyone have side effects?
