Meloxicam - Can I halve a 15 mg tablet to take only 7.5 mg a day?

This would not be self medicating. This is weaning and any time you wean off of a medication that you don't necessarily need, your body only benefits.

This NSAID is a prescription medication only, meaning if 15 mgs. were prescribed to you by your Dr. it has to be for a reason.
Now, if you feel you need a dose adjustment, instead of self medicating I suggest you contact your prescriber and inform him/her of your decision.
