Is flecainide a safe choice for AFib?

I have AFib. Hospitalized and diagnosed in January, 2021. As of today, 11/11/21, I have an electrophysiologist as my heart doctor. He just prescribed Flecainide. The warnings and contraindications are truly frightening. Does anyone have any information or experience with this med?

Xarelto long-term storage?

Is a Xarelto tablet stored in its original plastic bottle at room temperature in a dry environment for five years still usable? I found an old prescription of 20mg tablets (made by Janssen) while looking through my medicine supplies. There are maybe 30 tablets in the bottle

Any correlation between Eliquis and blood pressure?

I am 76, an Afib patient on Eliquis (5 mg twice daily) and carvedilol (3.125 mg twice daily). I have found a seemingly unusual pattern of my blood pressure readings recently. Learning relevant info will be helpful.

Apixaban - Cutting Eliquis 2.5 in half?

I have many bad reactions to Eliquis, taken for paroxysmal Afib and would like to cut the pills in half; currently I take twice daily (2.5 x2) Is there research or experience with this dosage reduction from real people, not the pharma monopoly?

I was just diagnosed with AFib. They want me to take liquis. I am scared too.

Does anyone else feel or have felt this way? I have Crohns as well and already take a tons of meds. This isn't sitting well with me.

Carvedilol - Do you need to wean off Coreg 6.25mg of taken 2x daily?

My doctor said there is no need to wean off, just stop. I had 1 episode of atrial fibrillation. It self regulated before I was seen by a doctor. I wore a holster monitor for 2 weeks. Results came back normal. I want to get off this med.

Is Rivaroxaban safe to use with Doxycycline please?

This is on behalf of my husband who has had covid and now has a chest infection. He has COPD and has been prescribed with Doxycycline. He takes Rivaroxaban for AF.

Has anyone had leg weakness from Xarelto?

I have no leg pain in my knees or muscles but they feel weak and at times my leg will buckle causing a fall can’t figure out why?

Do flecainide and diltiazem work together?

I was prescribed both meds. I was on diltiazem for a month and flecainide for 4 days. I'm still in AF and shortness of breath is worse. I know they are both antiarrhythmic but they are not working. What is the point?

Xarelto bruising , any advice ?

I bruise very easily, especially hands and forearms. It seems the slightest touch leaves a purple blemish. Most doctors dismiss my complaint as part of the treatment for Afib. I’m new to this forum and I hope some fellow members might know something that can help,
