Lorazepam - Can you switch from clonazepam to Ativan?

On 1 mg clonazepam daily. Can i switch to 1mg Ativan daily? I know 1 mg Ativan is the same as 0.5mg clonazepam. It’s half as strong. I have cut down to 0.5mg clonazepam daily. So will the Ativan help with withdrawals?
