This question has also been asked and answered here: How do you take a prescription 3x or 4x a day?
Answers
Actually, the dosing instructions mean taking one pill, 4 times over a 24 hour period. Hence, 1 dose every 6 hours. This way the concentration of antibiotic in blood plasma is kept at a therapeutic level.
No, that would be 6 times a day. What it means is you should take it 4 times while you are awake. as far apart as you can do. For instance if you get up at 7 and go to bed at 11- you should spread it out over that time. It would come to every 4 hrs, while you are awake.
