My daughter was prescribed Nitrofurantoin Mono MCR 100mg and I was told it did not come in a liquid form. She cannot swallow capsules and the pharmacy would not check to see if the capsule could be opened and the contents put in something else so she could take the medicine.
Nitrofurantoin - Can the capsule be opened and the contents put in pudding?

Answers
yes you can, only if you place it in something soft that does not have to be chewed just swallowed.
What country are you in? I can't find anything call nitrofurantoin. Mono. Nitrofurantoin comes in a susp but it's really gross. You can open the capsule but put it in no more then 10cc of pudding or applesauce so she doesn't have to eat a large amt because it's not too great either.
