I've been on the pill for six months so I'm used to it I have sugar pills and I haven't gotten to them yet. Now I'm lightly spotting it did it yesterday during the day and stopped then came back this morning. Me and my boyfriend had sex last Friday and Saturday and Sunday and he ejaculated in me all those times and I took my pill normally those days. I have 8 more pills to go before I start my period. And I skipped 2 pills from this Saturday and Sunday. Could I be pregnant? Should I wait until my period is supposed to start and see if it does or doesn't? What do I do? Could I be pregnant? I really need an answer and anybody that can help I appreciate it!

Last Thursday and Friday I missed two birth control pills but I took them on Saturday and Sunday and I am having discharge and a little bit of bleeding could I be pregnant
I really feel like shouting this, because I have to say it so much. Bleeding is NOT a sign of pregnancy. Our bodies are programmed to "bleed" when the hormone levels drop. Its just doing what its supposed to, you missed pills so the hormone level dropped and you bled. You need to take 2 pills a day for 2 days to make up for it, and use a condom for a week, to be sure. You probably aren't pregnant, but be careful now. Get an app to remind you to take your pills.
I did some research and some say it can be possible and some say it isn't I remember reading online about if you were to miss a pill and having sex and if you are a week or 6-12 days pregnant you can light rusty like spotting and it might be possible. This other website just said that past sex can not get you pregnant. I'm not really educated in this kind of stuff I'm only 18 and in high school. Should I get a professional opinion and tell my doctor?
You just had a professional opinion, mine. At 18 someone should have taught you how your body works, the schools and parents are really negligent on this. Bleeding during pregnancy is not usual and not something you look for to prove you're pregnant. I told you why you bled. This won't change. Hormones drop and we bleed. You aren't going to get pregnant if you have sex and 5 days later miss a pill, sperm won't live that long. Missing a pill may drop your protection a bit, but its 99% effective so a bit is only down a tad bit. In the future try to take them and not miss them. Then you won't have these worries at all.
I also have a question. I'm 18 and I e only been taking bc pills for a little over a month now. I missed a pill on Tuesday and didn't realize it until Wednesday morning. I didn't take the pill from Tuesday, should I take the pill? Also this morning (Thursday) I woke up with bloody underwear. But I have taken my pills on schedule since Wednesday. My boyfriend and I are having sex but he pulls out before ejaculation. I'm concerned that because I bled that that means an egg was released and I could be pregnant. What does this mean? Should I take the pill from Tuesday?
I know how your feeling. I have been on cerazette for a week now. i only missed 2 pills and today i have light spotting when i go to the toilet and wipe myself hoping it is going to stop
hi i missed two of my pills. but if i continue as normal will it be ok to do so
I know this post is old but for anyone searching for advice and reading this thread, I'd like to point out that the person saying bleeding is NOT a sign of pregnancy, this is not always true. Sure, it's not all that common but I can say from personal experience and the experience of a close friend, this was the first indication of pregnancy. Bleeding and/or spotting lightly sometimes pink or brown for a short amount of time, in some cases only a few hours, can be implantation bleeding. So I'm not quite sure why this "health care professional" is insisting early pregnancy could never be associated with any type of bleeding. In this woman's case discussed in this post, it is probably just irregular hormone levels but please, people. Do not listen to anyone telling you that just because you bled you aren't likely to be pregnant. Be cautious and always double check when you are in doubt especially if you also have any other symptoms.
I have a question related to this topic. I missed two birth control pills during the first week of my pill packet and now I have spotting. I'm not worried about being pregnant because I don't have sex and I'm only on the pill to regulate my cycle. Since I'm not worried about pregnancy I just skipped those days and kept taking them. Now I have spotting. I don't know if I should take 2 pills or whatever. Not planning on having sex anytime soon so I'm not worried about getting pregnant. Just want to get back on my regular cycle. I'll probably call my doctor and ask but just wanted to get an opinion here. Thanks!
I know this thread is a couple of years old but for anyone new reading, you can bleed and be pregnant. It is called implantation bleeding! If the bleeding is lighter than your normal bleeding and is brown or pink, then it could be implantation bleeding. If the bleeding is bright red (fresh blood), then this is not implantation bleeding. Google the subject if you want to know more.
