I am on mononessa, I missed two of my birth control pills in a row and started my period right after, I stopped taking the pack because I was not sure what pills I should take or if I should even be taking them I then did not get my period when I usually get my period, I started my new pack when it was time for me to start even though I did not have my period. is getting my period early then missing my period on time normal?

Yes, your out of sync bleeding is normal. Missing pills upsets hormone levels and breakthrough bleeding results. It also reduces the effectiveness of the pill. It doesn't really matter when you start taking your pills again but you will need to make sure you have taken 7 tablets on consecutive days to be protected from pregnancy. Use a back up method of contraception such as condoms in the mean time.

Never ever alter your pill schedule no matter what., you need to use a condom for the first 7 days now. That was not your period, it was breakthru bleeding. The appropriate thing to do when you have that is to just keep taking your pills. When you first start on pills you body has to get used to the hormones. There is probably nothing left to bleed. It does not matter if you skip a period. You don't need to have one every month when you are on the the pill. When you missed the 2 pills in a row what you should do is take 2 pills 2 days and use a condom for seven days.

Something similar happen to me, I missed two birth control pills the week prior to when I was supposed to get it. I then had bleeding for about two days, I kept taking my pills normally. I started having sex with my boyfriend and never got my period the week I was supposed to, I'm not sure if the bleeding prior and missing the two pills messed that up or am I pregnant?

the same thing has happened to me can somebody please tell me if they got pregnant because of this ? I know birth control stops ovulation and it is hard to get pregnant as son as you stop but i was only taking it for 3 months when it happend and i had sex right after my period was finished.

Hi I'm wondering I have been on the combined pill for three months and came of it now but didn't finish the pack will I be able to get pregnant straight away or not

In my experience, any time that I missed a day I had to space out taking two pills to avoid nausea, taking one early in the morning, and one late in the evening.
