I have tried to use Cialis on five different occasions. I get about 80% erect then "hit the wall". That is it. after the 80% erection, it goes pretty much totally flaccid. Then ALL is lost. I am overweight and in my mid 60's. I had radiation therapy for prostate cancer last year. WHAT is next ? Is it possible to use 2 20 mg tablets at once? It is WAY expensive for NOTHING !!!
Can one take 2 20mg Cialis at once ?

I asked my urologist a similar question. 1st, it can be dangerous, very! Cialis and Viagra lower BP.That can be bad. 2nd, taking two would not add any time or strength to the erection, as the drugs do not work that way as a cumulative effect. Also, is it possible that the problem is that you have small veins in the penis... that happens with some men with age..it did for me, as so it makes Cialis/Viagra limited. Thus, a pump or Caverject or Edex might be the answer. You might do well to have a heart to heart with your urologist for a ful workup. Good Luck. Don't give up. There are many ways to get there. As GE used to say "Better Living through Chemistry." Best to You.
Thanks for your response. Those are avenues to consider. I hadn't been advised of them as yet. I will check into it.
Generally the recommended dose of Cialis is 5mg for ED, 2 X 20mg would be way way too much & would be considered an over dose.
This could lead to serious side effects, please do talk to a doc who prescribed the med, he/she would give you better advice & maybe prescribed some med which works well with your system.
Please take care, best wishes!
Thank You For your input Rajive.
Most welcome, importantly please do not over dose on Cialis.
I took 1 tadalafil tablet 25 mil, nothing happened so I took three 25 mil tonight to see If anything happens, what do I do If that doesn't work?
Generic Tadalafil (active ingredient in Cialis) is available in 40mg tablets but not to Americans. 40mg dosage is approved by the FDA for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
I am conducting a study to determine the affects of Cialis at varying dosage. The sources of my data are statements made by people on the internet, weighed for credibility using intuitive methods. The results are reproducible, because the statements are consistent with one another and with my experience using Tadalafil. I am not a medical professional, I am just another dude walking the road of life to the fate we all share within the next 100 years, i.e., none of us will be alive then. My preliminary findings are as follows:
People most interested in being authoritative state the dosages approved by the FDA and prescribed by US doctors as the last word on the subject. I find those groups are not fully credible, because of conflicts of interest on the subject of self medication.
People most interested in being responsible and safe will add the "use least dose necessary" clause to the approved and commonly prescribed dosage statements. These statements often include the "on/off" theory, which says, "If you take enough, you get a hard one. Taking more won't make it harder. It is an on off kind of thing and taking extra will increase side effects but not the desired effect."
The data indicates the more you take, the harder you will get, to a point.
20mg is not the maximum safe dosage.
Every drug affects every person differently, so it is necessary to handle dosage on a case by case basis.
The data includes many cases of taking 40mg of Tadalafil. The only problem reported was being prone to getting intense hard ones for a few days, which appeared to pose no problems for the person experiencing the effect.
My preliminary assessment is monitoring side effects is a better approach to determine max dosage than following the guidelines set by groups whose interests are not the same as all of us.
Brett I’m very interested in the progress of your research is there way that we can keep in touch and you can keep me informed ?
