I've been reading everyone's experience with Linzess but have not read of anyone needing to take it 2 x day. Lucky for you :-) Long story short, colon resection for sigmoid diverticulitis, followed by IBS-C. After several failed medications I started out taking Linzess 145 once daily, then my doctor increased to 290, then increased the 290 to twice daily. I'm still working with my doctor to adjust the time of my second dosage, so that it doesn't interfere with dinner or sleep, which it has on many occasions. I think I've finally found the right time, approximately 4:45 PM, however results are inconsistent. Overall, Linzess truly has helped in may ways. Would appreciate your comments.
Is anyone taking Linzess 290 twice daily??

I also take LINZESS TWICE DAILY!!! (290mcg morn and nite). NOTHING else worked and my digestive doc was tireless in his efforts to get this approved!
He just recently added RELISTOR to my daily meds, and ooooohhhh WOW!!! Made all the difference in the world for me!!! I certainly understand your battle!!

Yes I'm on 2- 290gm of linzess, l also have problem with the second one, I try taking by 4pm then I'm done by bedtime. I have problem with my sinuses started shortly taking 2 of them,will be calling Doctor soon on this!

I talked to the nurse about my sinuses she said the linzess is not causing it, i see my Doctor soon will again ask him,when I started having problems is when i started 2 290mg linzess!

I had the same surgery as you about 13 years ago and it worked wonders until about a year ago. Gradually the constipation got worse and worse until I couldn't stand it anymore. I was almost right where I was before the surgery. The doctor who did the surgery is not the most pleasant so I decided to change and go to my mothers doctor. She put me on Linzess 290mcg once a day. She told me to take it before dinner. It worked great but now I'm finding it isn't working as well. I don't feel emptied out like I first did. The doctor did mention at my visit to try One a day and if we needed to increase it we could go to taking two a day. I haven't been back to her for my follow up yet and I don't want to increase it without seeing her. I have even thought about going back to my old doctor to find out if a second surgery would be an option. He told me if I had problems then he could go in and remove alittle more bowel. That was 13 years ago though.
