Head Injury in Children

Apply ice for 15 to 20 minutes to reduce the swelling.

If the lump is very large or has a soft, boggy feeling to it, seek medical care immediately to be sure there isn't a skull fracture.

If the lump continues to enlarge despite applying ice, call your doctor.
