Suzetrigine Side Effects
Applies to suzetrigine: oral tablet.
Important warnings
This medicine can cause some serious health issues
Tell your doctor about all your other medicines.
Some drugs should not be used with suzetrigine.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Less serious side effects may be more likely, or you may have none at all.
Common side effects may include:

skin rash;

muscle spasm; or

abnormal lab tests.

General adverse events
The most common adverse reactions were increased creatine phosphokinase, muscle spasms, pruritus, and rash.[Ref]
Cardiovascular
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Arrhythmia, hypotension, tachycardia[Ref]
Dermatologic
- Common (1% to 10%): Pruritus, rash[Ref]
Gastrointestinal
Hematologic
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Postprocedural hematoma[Ref]
Musculoskeletal
- Common (1% to 10%): Muscle spasms[Ref]
Nervous system
Other
- Common (1% to 10%): Creatine phosphokinase (CPK) elevations[Ref]
In Trials 1 and 2, 2.9% of patients had a CPK level greater than 3 times the upper limit of normal. All reports of CPK elevations occurred in the post-surgical setting.[Ref]
Renal
- Common (1% to 10%): Decreased estimated glomerular filtration (eGFR) rate[Ref]
In Trials 1 and 2, 2.5% of patients had a decrease in eGFR of 25% to less than 50%.[Ref]
