ALZA Corporation Receives Approvable Letter Regarding IONSYS, an Iontophoretic, Fentanyl-containing, Transdermal Analgesic
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 27, 2004 -- ALZA Corporation today announced it has received an approvable letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding a New Drug Application (NDA) for IONSYS.
ALZA submitted a NDA for IONSYS in September 2003. It is working with the FDA to address the agency's letter as quickly as possible.
ALZA Corporation, a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is a leading developer of drug delivery-based pharmaceutical products.
