For Migraine "I have been a migraine sufferer for over 30 years, and several of the 'triptans' have proved to be effective, as I've found out as my insurance has dictated. But Zomig continues to be my go-to remedy. Over 10 years ago, I found that if I took a triptan and lit a cigarette, my heart would race. That was probably a very good thing, as the choice between getting rid of the migraines or getting rid of the cigarettes became easy. Zomig allows me to function even when I wake up with a full-blown migraine. I count on it!"

For Migraine "I would just like to say it is very important to know what other medications you are taking with this medicine. It can have very bad side effects. I only took this medicine 2 times when I had a very bad interaction. It was before they made it known not to mix an antidepressant with it, and it took years to find out what really had happened other than a drug interaction. I was on Paxil at the time. I wound up going to the hospital for them to tell me that everything was fine, but it took about a week before I was feeling normal. My heartbeat was very rapid, I was delusional and uncoordinated. It felt like my insides were burning from the inside out, but yet I felt a constant chill. I am not saying not to take this drug, but be careful."

For Migraine "Thought I was having a stroke as the migraine was the worst I’ve ever had, severe nausea, unbearable pain, and rapid heart rate, etc. Took a 2.5 mg tablet and was able to sleep within 25 mins, and when I woke up just over an hour later, I felt human again. Did have some shooting pains in chest after 20 mins, but as far as side effects go, it’s not the worst. Personally, it’s given me some quality of life back as my migraines are chronic."

For Migraine "Acute migraine, sumatriptan, and Lyrica not helping after years of use. Zomig 5 mg spray given. Frequent urination, pressure on bladder constant (so unable to go out). Blood in urine? To question with doctor yet. Very heavy fatigue, just random fall asleep. Rapid heartbeat. Difficulty swallowing, hurt. Bit of sore throat further down throat. Short-lived chest pain traveled to chest bone left side when bedtime? Speech, foggy head, thinking worsened. Dizziness (was already experiencing). Still woke during night with bad head (so cannot use). But these are manageable because better than the migraine. Could it be possible to spray first dose and take second evening hour or two before bed instead of two hours after the initial? Terrible aftertaste."

For Migraine "I’m not gonna lie, the side effects can seriously suck... but they’re very temporary. I get a rancid taste in my mouth, as well as increased heart rate (which, for someone with a preexisting heart condition, is not ideal). HOWEVER, these only happen for maybe a half hour after taking the spray, and for the first time in over ten years, I actually have something that not only halts the migraine in its tracks (whether I’m in the aura stage or even in the beginning of a serious attack) but lets me actually continue on with work and not have to debilitate me to the point of needing to go to bed for the rest of the day. I take this in combination with Zofran, and I feel like a completely new person within an hour of taking it. This is the best."

For Migraine "Zomig is a miracle drug. I get migraines several times a week. I take this at the very first hint of a headache, and it aborts the headache. It makes you feel completely normal. The first 45 minutes, my heart beats a little fast, but that goes away quickly. Highly recommend."

For Migraine "This medication makes my migraine feel worse. For the first hour after I took it, my sinuses were on fire, and then I laid down to go to sleep, feeling like my heart was pounding, and I could actually hear my blood pumping. The headache intensified, and I thought I made it worse, which I didn't think was possible. I just woke up (after waking up four times throughout the night), and I feel so groggy and shaky that I am worried about driving to work. Won't be taking this again."
