Diovan (valsartan) for High Blood Pressure "I have been on this medication for about six years. At first, it lowered my blood pressure, but lately, I am still in the 140s over 90s, and recently started having ringing in my ears. During the time I was taking this, I would become tired during the day and could not walk up one flight of stairs without being out of breath. I started on a workout regime for 9 months now to get into shape and still had fatigue and shortness of breath. I also started to have slight heart palpitations, so I decided to quit all medicines, keep track of my blood pressure, and went to the doctor and told him my symptoms and plans. I changed my lifestyle to be much healthier than it had been with diet and exercise. No more fatigue and pressure is even better."

For High Blood Pressure "After reading the reviews of this drug, I was horrified when my doctor put me on it. I'm on 160mg once daily. For the first week or so, I had some raunchy symptoms (dizziness, general tiredness, and stomach cramping), however, it has been almost two weeks and I feel so good now. My BP is getting lower, I'm waking up rested, I have less anxiety, no more migraines (so far), and typical body aches are less. This is an all-around fix if you have my blood pressure problems."

Diovan (valsartan) for High Blood Pressure "Taking drug for about 5 years and blood pressure stays around 140/93. All of a sudden started having ringing in ears and decided to go off Diovan after reading this was a side effect. Also noticed shortness of breath, weight gain, and tiredness. Now blood pressure is about the same without Diovan or any other medication except still have the ringing in the ears."

Diovan (valsartan) for High Blood Pressure "After using Diovan for only a few days, I developed shortness of breath and my blood pressure skyrocketed. I was also very lethargic. Within 2 days of stopping and going back to my old blood pressure medication, my pressure dropped significantly. This drug did NOT work for me for what it was prescribed for."

For High Blood Pressure "I have been on valsartan for 3 1/2 months. I was always tired, a sharp headache on the left side of my head, muscle pain. As of 7/26/2019, I decided not to take this medication, the side effects are horrible, and I wouldn't recommend this drug to a lab rat. I'm now waiting on my next dr. appointment to see what other options he has."

Diovan (valsartan) for High Blood Pressure "I've been taking Diovan HCT (80/12.5) for a little over one year. It has done the trick on my blood pressure but leaves me with a slight headache and afternoon lethargy. After about 8:00 PM, I usually start to feel better. My doctor and I tried 3 other medicines before Diovan HCT with no results. I don't know if the side effects are something I will just have to live with or not. I will discuss this on my next Dr.'s visit."

For High Blood Pressure "I have been taking Valsartan 160 mg for 10 years now. It helps control my BP, but I'm tired of all the side effects it causes me. Examples of those are: tiredness, hair loss, post-nasal drip, loss of libido, delayed orgasm, insomnia. I have decided to stop the med and to exercise (walk) and eat better."

For High Blood Pressure "Been on valsartan for over a year. Had several side effects... cough, lethargic, and muscle weakness when walking for 5 minutes. Dr. was unhappy with my pressure the last few visits, so Dr. added HCTZ to valsartan. My symptoms now include higher blood sugar... 30 to 50 more points average daily on my morning testing. My A1C went from 6.1 to 6.6 when I had my 3-month blood test. All I do is cough and wheeze. Chest x-ray shows clear lungs. Tired of taking more meds to relieve symptoms. Feel like I'm not crazy after reading the comments of others."

Diovan (valsartan) for High Blood Pressure "I have been taking Diovan 160 mg along with three other medications. My blood pressure went down from 160/100 to 135/90, but I'm not sure if it was due to this medicine or the other three. I seem to get tired in the afternoon when my dosage was increased from 80 to 160 mg."

For High Blood Pressure "I was having some high blood pressure issues for a while before I decided to go to my doctor and get it taken care of. I was feeling a lot of pressure in my head, no appetite, extreme anxiety, headaches constantly with some dizziness and feeling lightheaded and always tired. So she prescribed me this medicine. I’ve been on valsartan for 3 weeks. I have no more headaches, the dizziness and feeling lightheaded, and my anxiety went way down, as well as my blood pressure staying within normal limits. I don’t feel 100 percent back to my old self just yet. I’m still getting extremely fatigued at times, but I personally think it’s due to not drinking enough water. Be aware you need to stay hydrated on this medicine. But other than that, I was feeling like I had no energy or motivation before starting this medicine, and I feel like my quality of life has drastically improved so far. I was scared to take it, but I wish I could have started sooner. Don’t be afraid, it’s a long road, but you will be okay."

For High Blood Pressure "I am taking 40 mg-80 mg a day of Valsartan for high blood pressure. It doesn't seem to work as my blood pressure has not improved, and I have started experiencing a fast pulse, shaky hands, an off-balance feeling, a foggy mind, tiredness, and horrible sinus congestion/swelling."
